Wizard: My Skills Can Infinitely Break Through
Chapter 420 - 324: Level Three Honored Guest Elder, Authority UpgradeA grayish-white mist appeared in Darcy’s palm. It swirled as if alive, intricate Runes flickering within.
This was the manifestation of the Time Rule.
The moment the two streams of Energy touched, the air in the hall completely froze.
The Level One Wizards let out muffled groans, nearly collapsing to their knees.
The Level Two Wizards also turned pale, cold sweat beading on their foreheads.
Only those at Level Three or higher could remain calm.
The silver nebula and the grayish-white mist faced off.
One second, two seconds, three seconds.
Darcy was the first to withdraw his hand, and the pressure vanished in an instant.
A collective sigh of relief washed through the hall like a tide.
Darcy looked at Ian, a faint smile on his face.
"Lord Ian, my apologies for being so forward just now. I hope you won’t take offense."
In the Eastern Territory, a Level Three Wizard was an absolute key figure in any faction—an existence of completely equal standing. He could not afford to be disrespectful.
He turned and walked back to his seat on the high platform. His gaze swept across the hall, finally landing on Aidele.
"Aidele, you have done well. You’ve rendered a great service to the clan."
His tone was filled with unconcealed approval.
The atmosphere in the hall instantly erupted!
"He’s really Level Three..."
"Such a young Level Three Wizard... Where did Aidele dig him up from..."
"Our Justice Clan has gained another Elder Level figure..."
"It’s over... Edwin and his group are completely finished..."
The sound of whispered conversations boiled over, churning endlessly through the hall.
Edwin slowly set down his teacup. He was silent for a long time, then let out a soft sigh.
Adrian, who was beside him, heard it clearly.
His lips moved. He wanted to say something, but in the end, no words came out.
He just lowered his head, staring at the tea stain on his cuff, his eyes vacant.
Ashia stood up, left the observers’ gallery, and came to Aidele, taking her hand.
"Congratulations, Sis."
Her voice was a little choked up, and her eyes were slightly red.
Aidele squeezed her hand back firmly.
The two of them exchanged a look. Nothing was said, but nothing needed to be.
Ashia turned to Ian and gave a slight bow, her posture respectful.
"Lord Ian."
Ian nodded. "Miss Ashia."
Ashia smiled and returned to her seat.
Her gaze fell upon the figure in gray, and a complex mix of emotions flashed in her eyes.
Envy, admiration, gratitude, and a hint of... acceptance.
Elder Darcy spoke again. His voice was not loud, but it silenced all the noise in the hall.
"Approval for the status of a Level Three Honored Guest Elder must be escalated."
He looked at the middle-aged steward. "Process it according to the clan’s highest standards."
The middle-aged steward hurriedly bowed. "Yes, sir."
Darcy’s gaze swept over the people below the high platform.
"The specific privileges are as follows."
"First, you may receive three portions of Level Three Materials each month. The list is to be drawn up by Lord Ian himself."
"Second, you will have free access to the third level of the Secret Vault to borrow Level Three Scriptures, Witchcraft, and formulas."
"Third, you may attend the Elder Council meetings with the right to make suggestions."
"Fourth, your Magic Pet may apply for a Tier Three Resource allotment, to be provided by the clan."
As his voice fell, a collective gasp was heard throughout the hall.
Three portions of Level Three Materials every month—this was a fortune that Level Two Wizards could only dream of.
The third level of the Secret Vault... even the Elders themselves had to apply to read some of the scriptures stored there.
Attending Elder Council meetings—though without voting rights—meant being privy to the clan’s most critical decisions.
And the resources for his Magic Pet... Everyone’s gaze subconsciously fell on Ian’s shoulder.
On the small, silver-gray bird.
Gaga puffed out its chest. It lifted its small head, its silver eyes sweeping over the crowd.
"GAK!"
It let out a soft cry, its eyes clearly saying, ’What are you looking at?’
Elder Soron stood up.
His grayish-white Long Robe shimmered softly under the lights.
"Lord Ian, what are your thoughts? If we’ve missed anything, please let us know."
Ian nodded slightly. "Thank you, Elder. This will be fine."
Darcy glanced toward the head of the platform, exchanging looks with several others.
"Good. In that case... by a unanimous decision of the Elders, the status of Level Three Honored Guest Elder is effective immediately."
His voice was calm, yet held an unquestionable authority.
"Lord Ian’s identity will be officially entered into the clan’s archives as of today."
After the meeting concluded, the crowd gradually dispersed.
Edwin was the first to leave, his retreating figure looking somewhat desolate.
Adrian followed behind him, his expression downcast.
Ashia walked over to Aidele, said a few more words, the two embraced, and then she turned to leave.
The middle-aged steward hurried forward, catching up to Ian.
He handed a brand-new badge and a rolled parchment scroll to Ian.
"Lord Ian, this is your new badge and your list of privileges."
Ian accepted them. The badge was Dark Silver, with a Time Trace pattern engraved on its surface. It was much heavier and more substantial than his previous Level Two Honored Guest Elder badge.
On the Parchment list, the various privileges were listed in dense, minute detail.
He glanced at it without reading closely, then stored it in his Ring.
Stepping out of the hall, the sunlight outside was dazzling, and the sky was a pristine, azure blue.
In the square, most of the carriages had already departed. Only a few remained, their drivers dozing against the carriage shafts.
Aidele and Ian walked side-by-side on the Stone Slab path, their footsteps echoing in the empty square.
Gaga perched on Ian’s shoulder, its small head looking this way and that.
The sunlight reflected in its silver pupils, making them sparkle.
"Ian," Aidele said suddenly.
"Ever since I met you... everything has changed."
Ian didn’t answer. He looked up at the sky.
A few birds with gray feathers and white wings flew past, quickly disappearing from view.
’Three days ago, I was just a Level Two Honored Guest Elder, plotted against, yet unable to strike back directly.’
’Now, I am a Level Three Wizard, the youngest Level Three Honored Guest Elder in the Justice Clan.’
’I am Aidele’s greatest support.’
"Yes, everything has changed. Fortunately... the outcome has been good."
He raised a hand and ruffled Gaga’s head.
The little creature cooed, rubbing against his palm.
"Let’s go. I’ll get you an extra treat when we get back."
The man and the bird, their figures gradually disappeared.
The sunlight fell on their shoulders, stretching their shadows long behind them.
Like two straight lines, pointing toward an unknown future.
