From the moment Duke issued the warning to their completion of escaping, it took less than three seconds.

They were not here to play games, always on high alert, and fully aware of their weakness compared to the power of this Plane.

So when they received Duke’s warning, no one asked what happened, they just activated their survival measures immediately.

Scorching heat waves rushed towards them; dark red magma roared and surged beneath their feet, with each bursting bubble spraying lava waves several meters high.

Duke had no hesitation, stepping from the platform edge, he leapt straight into the magma lake.

During his fall, his body began to change.

A layer of dark red sheen emerged on his skin’s surface, as his entire physical form shifted from flesh and blood to pure fire elements.

Flesh, bones, blood—all solid matter instantly transformed into flowing fire, merging with the surrounding magma.

At the instant he entered the elementalization state, the turbulent magma and Fire Attribute Elemental Particles suddenly became docile.

They no longer assaulted his body but swirled around him like encountering a kin, even voluntarily clearing a path for him.

Duke maneuvered his fire-elementalized body, swiftly escaping towards the southeast within the depths of the magma lake.

Instead of heading directly below the fortress, he moved laterally along the lakebed terrain, aiming to maximize distance from the fortress above.

He didn’t know what was coming from above, but understood its terrifying strength.

Even at a far distance, it induced an intense life-and-death crisis in Duke.

He knew the deeper he sank, the further he swam, the safer he’d be.

As Duke’s form completely submerged into the magma and Vera and others received the warning and fled, the sky above the fortress changed color.

The dim sky seemed to get torn open by an unseen hand, as four colored rays poured down from the firmament above.

Crimson, deep brown, cyan-white, and azure—four beams entwined, forming a colossal palm in mid-air.

The palm was constructed from fused energy of the four elemental powers, with distinct lines visible, each marking a trail of flowing Rules.

This palm appeared out of thin air above the fortress, as if it was there all along, just invisible until now.

On the mining platform, slave creatures finally sensed something, universally stopping their actions and raising their heads.

They didn’t comprehend what hovered above them, but their primal survival instincts screamed fiercely.

In unison, slave creatures released piercing screams, surged in every direction, trampling and shoving each other, all in a bid to get as far from the palm as possible.

The Wizards also finally noticed.

Some looked up, some cried out in shock, some instinctively triggered defensive Magic.

Multicolored Shields flared above, resembling a panic-stricken swarm of fireflies.

Rex stood at the mining platform’s center, Longsword in hand, raising his head.

He sensed it, even before Duke sensed the danger, he had already detected it.

The Level 3 Mage’s Perception was sufficient to capture the terrifying pressure descending from the sky instantly, a kind of energy wave he had never felt, completely beyond Level 3’s domain.

It wasn’t an ordinary Level 4 Life, nor was it any Demigod Level Elemental Lord he’d seen on the battlefield; it was deeper, more substantial, closer to the Plane Rules itself.

Yet he didn’t flee immediately.

Not that he didn’t want to escape, but as the battle leader, he couldn’t abandon the field and the hundreds of Wizards under him without understanding the situation.

His first reaction was to mobilize Spiritual Power to investigate the source and nature of the energy overhead, at least to determine the attack range and target, before making the right tactical decision.

This decision took him half a second, whereas Duke and the others had already escaped within this brief span.

Then Rex realized his mistake.

That half-second of probing offered no answers; his Spiritual Power barely touched the palm’s edge before recoiling against a terrifying force, akin to thrusting a twig at a collapsing iron wall.

He gleaned nothing from his probe, instead suffering backlash on his Spiritual Power.

By the time he grasped that this foe was beyond his caliber and intended to flee, it was too late.

At this moment, Rex realized he made a grave error, his prior success in battles had let him relax his guard ever so slightly.

The palm began its descent.

The speed of the palm’s fall was not swift; it was slow, yet not in terms of velocity, but with a sense of absolute certainty and leisure.

Like how a boulder doesn’t rush down a mountain because regardless of speed, the ants at the bottom won’t escape.

The palm’s edge first touched the walls, the obsidian walls upon contact with the palm’s surface colored light, didn’t shatter, didn’t crumble, they vanished instantly.

The runes on the walls hadn’t the chance to flicker before they lost their vessel of existence, twenty-meter-high obsidian walls wiped away silently as though by an eraser.

Then the fortress interior.

Dozens of giant winches on the mining platform disappeared upon contact with the light, iron chains, baskets, heaps of ore stacked on the platform’s sides, all dissolved within the four-colored glow.
