Duke was in no hurry to force a breakthrough.

He sat before the stone slab for quite some time again, repeatedly feeling that heavy, ancient aura of the Earth Rules, engraving the trajectories of its inner veins into his Spiritual Sea bit by bit.

Only when, beside those scattered golden patterns in the Spiritual Sea, there also began to emerge extremely subtle, almost imperceptible dark-yellow light specks did he slowly withdraw his palm and reopen his eyes.

This also proved that the Ancient Stone Slab indeed contained Earth Rule Power, and that he himself could rely on the Ancient Stone Slab to grasp the Earth Rule Power—it was only a matter of time.

Duke was not impatient; Rule Enlightenment was originally a painstaking process. The lifespan of a Level 3 Mage was long; he had more than enough time to conquer them one by one.

Moreover, with the aid of the Light Divine Status and the Ancient Stone Slab, his speed of enlightenment would be extremely fast, enough to make other Wizards envy him endlessly.

Besides that, there was one more thing that needed to be verified—the Dark Form.

Since Duke’s promotion to Level 3, he had not yet retested it.

The Blood of the Dark originated from an ancient race of the Shadow Space, whose adult forms were all Level 4 Life. The dark origin contained within could only display the most basic enhancement of the flesh and Shadow affinity effects during the Level 1 and Level 2 stages.

But now that he had advanced to Level 3, the bloodline inheritance Power hidden within the Blood of the Dark would also be activated.

Duke rose from the grass, flexed his joints a little, then sank his consciousness into the depths of his Spiritual Sea.

At the core region of the Six-Element Compound Spiritual Crystal, the Light Divine Status still radiated a warm yet solemn golden brilliance like a star.

Directly opposite the Light Divine Status, at the other end of the Crystal, a dark-red bloodline brand was quietly suspended, its surface circulating with a dim luster completely opposite to yet subtly complementary with that of the Light Divine Status.

That was the mark left after the Blood of the Dark fused into the Crystal Core—the source that allowed him to activate the Dark Form during the Second Stage.

At this moment, under the illumination of Level 3 Spiritual Power, this brand was presenting a state entirely different from that of Level 2.

It was no longer a silent mark; it was breathing.

Duke extended his Spiritual Power into the bloodline brand.

The instant his Spiritual Power touched the brand, it trembled violently. A dark origin aura far more majestic and far purer than at Level 2 surged out from deep within the brand, spreading throughout his body along the pathways of his Spiritual Power.

He did not resist, allowing that Power to sweep through his entire body.

The next second, his body began to transform.

Duke’s vertebrae let out a dense series of explosive cracks, his entire body as if being stretched upward by an invisible giant hand, rising segment by segment from a normal human physique, rapidly breaking through three meters, four meters, five meters, until approaching six meters before slowly coming to a halt.

Dense dark-red magic patterns surfaced across his skin. These patterns were no longer the shallow lines floating on the surface as in Level 2, but three-dimensional patterns that seemed grown from deep within the bones, fully integrated with muscle fibers and Magic Circulation.

Every single magic pattern pulsed at an extremely slow frequency, as though it had acquired an independent life.

A layer of dark-golden full-body armor automatically condensed out of the magic patterns. The armor’s texture lay somewhere between metal and the carapace of some creature; its surface bore no runes, yet the edges of every single armor plate burned with extremely fine dark flames, silently wavering in the air.

His hair rapidly faded from black to dark gold, its length extending down to his shoulders.

His pupils contracted into pure-black vertical slits, with a ring of dark-golden halo flowing around the edges.

A pair of dark-golden metallic wings unfurled behind his back, with a wingspan longer than at Level 2. The dark flames at the edges of the wings were like liquefied Shadows, dripping from the wing tips only to dissipate into the air.

But this was only the beginning.

Duke’s body did not stop at six meters. A deeper layer of Power continued to gush out from the bloodline brand, like a flood long suppressed finally finding its spillway.

His body kept swelling—ten meters, twenty meters, thirty meters...

The dark-golden armor expanded in sync with his growing size, thicker dark flames pouring out from the gaps between armor plates, forming a layer of Shadow Energy Field around him that was visible to the naked eye.

Duke’s size ultimately stabilized at a height of more than fifty meters. The grass beneath his feet had already turned into miniature moss in his eyes, and that crater in the distance blasted out by the Fireball earlier now appeared like a small puddle.

When the dark-golden wings on his back were fully spread, their wingspan exceeded eighty meters. Every gentle flap would raise a whirlwind in the air of the Divine Court, laden with Shadow Energy.

The Shadow Energy radiating from his body had grown dense enough to form a spontaneous Energy Field, spreading outward nearly a hundred meters around him with himself at the center.

Within the Energy Field, the air, under the erosion of Shadow Rules, displayed a strange gray-black semi-transparent state. Light passing through the Energy Field would be greatly attenuated; from the outside, one could only see a blurry giant silhouette wrapped in darkness.

This Energy Field was not something he deliberately released, but rather a passive defense naturally produced by the Dark Form at the Level 3 stage.

The Shadow Energy in his body was too overflowing, to the point that it automatically spilled out to form a natural Rule-level barrier.

Duke lowered his head to look at his own hands.

Those hands were now large enough to casually crush a small building. The surface of his palms was covered with dark-golden scales, and micro-curved claws extended from his fingertips. The tips of the claws were not metallic in sheen, but an extremely deep black that seemed to devour all surrounding light—that was the Shadow Rules highly condensed at his fingertips, manifested into a tangible form.
