A year passed silently in cultivation.
For ordinary people, a year is more than three hundred days and nights, the cycle of four seasons, the accumulation of countless trivial details in life.
But for a Level 3 Mage immersed in Rule Enlightenment, a year is nothing more than a long Meditation, a few crucial moments of insight, and countless failures combined.
The sky above the Light God Court remained bright and gentle, the golden halo of the Golden Tree gently swaying in the breeze, and the surface of the Spring of Life reflecting the World Tree Seed quietly suspended deep within the spring.
The seed was wrapped in a layer of pale green Light Cocoon, with very fine Life Energy lines flowing on the surface of the cocoon, pulsing gently at regular intervals like a sleeping heartbeat.
At present, it seemed that it still had a long way to go before sprouting, but the intensity of the life rhythm had become significantly stronger than the initial faintly perceptible state.
Duke sat cross-legged beside the Spring of Life, eyes closed.
This area was the most energetically active and Rule-stable place in the central part of the Light God Court.
The air was filled with a very faint green life mist, naturally emitted by the World Tree Seed as it slumbered, mixing with the vapor from the Spring of Life to form a unique aroma.
With each breath, this mist flowed into his body through his nose, carrying a rhythm of inclusivity and harmony, keeping the Six-Element Compound Spiritual Power Crystal in his Spiritual Sea running in the most stable state.
In the Spiritual Sea, two new Rule patterns were slowly taking shape.
The pale gold Light Rule veins, like countless fine gold threads, extended from the Light Divine Status at the crystal core, spreading inch by inch along the crystal lattice.
The dark yellow Earth Rule veins, on the other hand, spread upwards from the bottom of the crystal, with each line cruder and heavier than the Light Rule, possessing the most primitive texture of rocks and veins.
When the last trace of pale gold vein and dark yellow vein simultaneously reached the designated nodes on the crystal’s surface, the Spiritual Sea shuddered suddenly.
Duke opened his eyes and accessed the Skill Tree interface. A translucent light screen unfolded before him, and at the top of the Skill Tree, beside the fiery red and jet-black branches, two new branches were forming, pale gold and dark yellow, with two lines of text appearing simultaneously:
[Rule of Light: LV1 (1/10000)]
[Earth Rules: LV1 (1/10000)]
The four Rule branches quietly floated at the top of the Skill Tree, fiery red, jet-black, pale gold, and dark yellow, interwoven in four distinctly different colors, representing four introductory Rule Powers.
But this was not enough. Rule Enlightenment was only the foundation; what could truly transform the Multi-Rule Talent into combat power was Rule Fusion.
Operating two or more Rule Powers within the same Magic framework simultaneously, forming an exponential Power amplification.
This was the Power he had witnessed firsthand in the Four Spirits Elemental Plane, when Jin Mo wiped the entire Molten Fire Fortress along with hundreds of wizards and tens of thousands of slave creatures off the map with a palm of four-attribute Rule Fusion. That scene was still imprinted deep in his memory.
However, he had spent a whole year searching through the Six-Ring Tower Library, from the public area to the encrypted area requiring Level 3 Authority, and all the documents on Rule Fusion remained solely at the level of theoretical value and Power amplification principles. Not a single book recorded the specific operating method.
Later, he spent quite a few days in the virtual tavern, piecing together a conclusion from the idle chatter of some High-tier Mages: Rule Fusion was never something learned from books. The vast majority of Multi-Rule Mages discovered their Fusion methods accidentally in real-life combat and took them as secrets to the grave.
At the level of a Level 3 Mage, many problems seemed unable to form universal solutions.
Due to different experiences, Talents, bloodline differences, and so forth, completely different conditions could be formed.
The only place in the Wizard Plane that might record the specific methods of Rule Fusion was the Book of Truth.
The Book of Truth, as Albert’s world-class secret treasure, was said to store the most extensive knowledge in the entire Wizard Plane.
Formal members of the Six-Ring Tower could exchange Contribution Points for an opportunity to speak with the Book of Truth to resolve various questions.
Duke submitted an exchange application on the Six-Ring Badge’s operating interface, and the system automatically deducted ten thousand Contribution Points, reducing the current balance from 25,515 points to 15,515 points.
On the day of the exchange’s completion, he followed the guidance received on the badge, came to the library, passed through a Rune Door Restriction he had never set foot in, ascended a spiraling silver-blue staircase, and arrived in front of the unmarked dark silver metal door on the library’s 6th Floor.
There were no bookshelves here; it looked nothing like a library, not even having a floor.
Underfoot was a path paved with flowing silver-blue radiance, overhead an endless dark blue void, surrounding him was eternal silence.
The only thing in the entire space was the massive book suspended in the center, the Book of Truth.
The cover was a substance flowing with dark golden radiance, between entity and Energy, the pages were semi-transparent, with countless fine light points slowly circulating within.
A voice sounded directly in his consciousness.
"I know you. Albert mentioned your name when he was flipping through your Automatic Meditation Magic Potion thesis. He said your pragmatic research style reminded him of his youth. Albert rarely praises anyone."
