Wizard: Starting With Synthesized Gems

Chapter 733 - 2.5x Alternation of Generations

As Locke's Moon of Evolution descended, both Witch Jesse and the Crimson Deep Court's Second Circle black wizard felt a simultaneous surge of terror.

At the same time, a fern spear formed from a Second Circle climbing fern materialized before Locke.

Locke smiled, "There is a spell I have been wanting to use for a very long time. I simply never found a suitable moment to use it during the competition. How fortunate that the two of you have delivered yourselves to my door."

"You have given me the perfect opportunity."

"Everyone says the world of Second Circle wizards is extraordinarily difficult, and even Senior Chad has said the same. So, to commemorate my officially becoming a Second Circle wizard today,"

A third eye appeared on Locke's forehead, a tiger's eye filled with malice, gazing down at those below.

"I will kill two Second Circle wizards as my gift to the world of Second Circle wizards."

Witch Jesse and the Second Circle black wizard were both startled, and hurriedly summoned their respective Grand Magics. Witch Jesse's Grand Magic was a vine resembling an enormous python, vine coiled upon vine, while the Second Circle black wizard's Grand Magic was the Crimson Deep Court's divine kingdom itself.

At this moment, Locke's Moon of Evolution shifted from a full moon to a crescent, and the climbing fern before him transformed from its sporophyte form into its gametophyte form, becoming a heart-shaped leaf.

Simultaneously, a beam of moonlight fell upon it, and a dose of Type 2 Tyrant Element was infused into it, transforming it into a Tyrant Climbing Fern.

This was the first attribute shift of the Alternation of Generations.

The Second Circle botanical spell model, Alternation of Generations, each time a fern switches between its sporophyte and gametophyte forms, could increase instantaneous output magic pressure by 50%.

Then the moon shifted once more, from a crescent back to a full moon.

At the same time, the climbing fern transitioned from its gametophyte back into its mature sporophyte form, changing from a heart-shaped leaf into a green spiral staircase, and a beam of moonlight fell upon it, casting the Firetree Silver Blossom Curse onto the climbing fern.

In an instant, the entire climbing fern ignited with crimson flames, while its leaf veins released a radiant emerald glow.

This was the second attribute shift. Because it had switched back to the sporophyte form, the tyrant attribute was cancelled, and in its place the Firetree Silver Blossom Curse bestowed upon it a flame attribute.

But it was not finished. The mature sporophyte shifted once more, and an earth-yellow heart-shaped leaf appeared in midair.

This was the third attribute shift.

This was the power of the World Tree leaf.

Yet still it was not finished.

Locke caused the climbing fern to become a sporophyte for the fifth time, and on this occasion he infused it with an Abyssal Devourer Body, transforming it into an Abyssal Devourer Body Climbing Fern.

This was the fourth attribute shift.

But at this moment, the full moon shifted once more into a crescent, and in this final change, Locke's climbing fern switched from its sporophyte back into its gametophyte, becoming a heart-shaped leaf once more.

The Lunar Cultivation Method caused this climbing fern to absorb the planar information of the divine kingdom space around them, granting it the attribute of the Crimson Deep Court's holy weapon.

And in that instant, because the Second Circle climbing fern had become imbued with the planar information of the Crimson Divine Court and had acquired the attribute of a special holy weapon, the crescent moon behind Locke's back turned... blood red.

In the next moment, the gametophyte transformed back into a sporophyte, reverting once more into a fern spear. This fern spear gleamed with a cold light, and due to the Alternation of Generations, the instantaneous magic pressure multiplier of its next strike would reach 250%, an increase of 2.5 times.

At that moment, Locke unleashed the Second Circle botanical spell with full force, Lone Tree Cannot Form a Forest. In an instant, a terrifying fern spear blazing with bloody magical radiance pierced straight through Witch Jesse's two magical vines, through the Second Circle black wizard's mace, and through the deep crimson holy weapon great shield he had raised before himself.

At the same time, the fern spear's momentum did not falter in the slightest, and it directly pierced through the special magical realm space that the Crimson Deep Court had constructed. The entire magical realm was run through in a single thrust.

Outside, in the mountain valley, a brilliant light erupted from the ground, followed by a chaotic shockwave of terrifying magic pressure, and the earth was once again forced to reveal that crimson river flowing across its surface.

Yet the river had barely appeared before the two Second Circle wizards were sent flying by Locke's single strike. Had they not had permanent defensive force fields on their bodies, they would likely have died on the spot.

As it was, half of Witch Jesse's body was blown away, and the Second Circle black wizard's right arm was reduced entirely to dust.

The two of them were sent flying.

At the same time, the magic pressure Locke released tore apart the temporary magical realm they had constructed using their special holy school spells. The tremendous deep violet magic pressure rose like a soaring crescent moon, sweeping upward toward the sky.

Then, in an instant, all of that magic pressure contracted, and the energy scattered through the air, bathed in moonlight and under the influence of the spiritual mist emanating from the Veles Pearl, was drawn entirely back into the fern spear.

With that single strike of the fern spear, more than a dozen black wizards were sent flying, two Second Circle wizards were gravely injured, their Grand Magics were crushed outright, and the magical realm they had painstakingly constructed was completely destroyed.

The tremendous magic pressure appeared in the world like a pillar of light, and like a beacon in the dark of night, it drew the attention of everyone in the surrounding area.

Above the layered peaks of the towering mountain ranges, a brilliant Moon of Evolution rose into the sky.

At the same time, the surrounding magical carriage convoy, still nearby, came to a halt one after another, and many people raised their heads to look toward the sky.

"Whose magic pressure is that?"

"It seems to be that wizard called Locke Augustine. He has actually already become a Second Circle wizard! His magic pressure is still at sixteen thousand. Good heavens, that was fast. Who were those people fighting him? Hmm? It looks like a group of black wizards!"

"No, surely not, were those black wizards trying to surround and kill that Locke from Golden Crown Mountain? And a whole group of them was taken down by him alone?"

Everyone could not help but stop their carriages, standing and watching. The magic pressure Locke had released in that single instant was even more staggering than anything he had used during the competition, so staggering that people could barely believe it was something an ordinary Second Circle wizard could produce.

At this moment, people could see that in midair, more than a dozen black wizards appeared to be overcome with terror and were beginning to scatter and flee.

After being sent flying by Locke's single strike, they had immediately abandoned any thought of continuing to fight.

This was white wizard territory, and all around them were magical carriages belonging to high-circle white wizards.

Within Golden Crown Mountain's main convoy, Wizard Fischer stood looking utterly bewildered, raising his head toward the sky. "What is going on now?"

A sun ring wizard from the Academic Committee stepped out of his carriage and looked toward Wizard Chad.

"You knew about this all along?"

Wizard Chad wore an expression of complete innocence.

"This... was entirely Locke's own insistence."

The sun ring wizard furrowed his brow.

"This is simply absurd. Fine, let me go and clean up those black wizards."

Wizard Chad hurriedly stopped him, "Wait, Senior. It seems Locke has a plan in mind. I have to say, this fellow really does push himself. He has barely finished winning one competition, and he is already laying the groundwork for his commercial empire."

The sun ring wizard paused for a moment, gave a slight nod, and seemed to understand.

Second Circle wizards possessed a right that First Circle wizards did not, and that was the right to establish a shop alliance, along with all the associated benefits that came with that qualification.

In essence, every Second Circle wizard had the opportunity to build their own commercial empire.

The White Wizard Association was fond of encouraging people to start their own ventures, because only by starting a venture could one go bankrupt, and only by going bankrupt could debt slaves be created and wealth be set in motion.

And so the White Wizard Association was very happy to see high-circle wizards go out and start their ventures.

The Academic Committee's sun ring wizard, Marius, raised his head to look at Locke, "Only, it seems that Brother Augustine's progress after this competition has become even greater than before. The instantaneous magic pressure of that spell just now exceeded twenty thousand, did it not."

"It is difficult to imagine that an ordinary Second Circle wizard could produce such a spell. Even more difficult to imagine that such an outstanding spell came from a single person's hands."

"Something like that ought to be the product of a research group's years of accumulated effort."

Meanwhile, as Locke saw the dozen or so black wizards fleeing, he did not appear to be in any particular hurry. He turned and walked toward his moon, then took out two Golden Cloud Peaches and hung them on his Golden Palace Legacy Branch.

The Golden Cloud Peaches hung upon the Golden Palace Legacy Branch, and his Moon of Evolution immediately gained several golden clouds.

A single Golden Cloud Peach could grant the Moon of Evolution one golden cloud.

These golden clouds could enhance his Grand Magic and allow it to interact with the wizard world, though they could only take effect within the wizard world and could not function in other planes.

This could further reduce the energy dissipation of his Grand Magic, enhance energy compatibility, and relatively increase the instantaneous burst capability of his Grand Magic.

And it could also increase the enhancement capacity of his Grand Magic.

"The Golden Palace Legacy Branch is still at First Circle magical plant grade. I will need the magic pressure of a Second Circle wizard to be able to advance the grade of my Golden Palace Legacy Branch. Of course, it is quite likely that a single Golden Palace Legacy Branch will not be enough for my needs, and I will have to purchase several more."

No matter, he would very soon be able to earn a large sum of money by virtue of his champion status.

And he did not need to worry about being short on Second Circle-level spirituality either, because as it happened, someone had just delivered a pillow right when he was feeling sleepy.

Locke switched into a pair of Snow Crown Bromeliad wizard shoes, and with a wave of his hand, a beam of moonlight shone down onto his wizard shoes, pouring in the remaining thirty percent of Zero Potion all at once, boosting the magic pressure of these wizard shoes to their absolute limit within the briefest span of time, to the level nearest to Second Circle.

At this moment, the Pixiu Angle Fractal Spiral Constraint Equations of these wizard shoes rapidly absorbed the magical tides from the surrounding air, while the glandular root pouches released their stored energy. Combined with the enhancement of the Moon of Evolution, trails of ice appeared one after another, and Locke moved as though the world itself were a ski slope, effortlessly catching up to those... black wizards.

Those fleeing First Circle black wizards turned to look back, and what they saw was Locke, wearing his wizard shoes and skating smoothly toward them. The sight sent them into absolute terror, their eyes nearly bursting from their sockets.

In the next moment, one First Circle wizard's permanent defensive force field shattered, and the wizard himself was killed by Locke's Second Circle fern spear.

The tiger's eye on Locke's forehead quickly locked onto the next target.

A pupil technique was released, the Second Circle-level Polar Geomagnetic.

One black wizard from the Crimson Deep Court had used a holy spell to summon the blood wings of a Pain Angel and was flying through the air above, but was directly dissolved entirely, dying within the electromagnetic explosion.

"Another one."

Locke pursued the black wizards methodically, relying on the speed of his wizard shoes, his pupil techniques, and the tremendous offensive power of his Second Circle fern spear.

In the eyes of the many wizards standing and watching, he overwhelmingly and decisively killed those extremely troublesome Crimson Deep Court black wizards one by one.

All of those wizards stood watching, speaking in hushed voices among themselves, because the wizard shoes Locke was displaying were exceptionally distinctive. They had clearly not yet reached Second Circle, yet they possessed such extraordinary speed.

Many wizards had even already begun searching for the same product, and had taken notice of the four Augustus Wizard Shoes styles.

At the same time, some wizards also noticed that Witch Jesse had switched into a pair of Solas Light Foot's latest model Light Speed 1000 wizard shoes, a Second Circle-grade pair.

She had fled using Solas Light Foot's entry-level Second Circle wizard shoes, and yet she had still been chased down from behind by Locke wearing a pair of First Circle-grade, lower-priced, pure magical plant wizard shoes with no additional services.

Locke even had time left over to kill every last one of the First Circle black wizards.

Of course, this was primarily because Locke's opening strike, using sixteen thousand magic pressure stacked with the glitch of repeated Alternation of Generations, iterated five full times, had transformed what was otherwise an ordinary Second Circle spell into an extraordinarily powerful aberrant form of Alternation of Generations, severely wounding Witch Jesse from the outset and piercing straight through her Grand Magic.

A Grand Magic was the source of a wizard's power. Once damaged, it was as though a crucial component had been broken, and so Witch Jesse's magic pressure at this moment was extremely unstable.

Add to that the fact that the Snow Crown wizard shoes were genuinely outstanding.

With one side weakening and the other strengthening, this created the bizarre spectacle of a First Circle wizard's shoes catching up to a Second Circle wizard's shoes.

But the key point was that the many wizards standing and watching had absolutely no way of accounting for all of these factors.

For those who were neither breeders nor alchemists, the best proof was simply to see the results with their own eyes.

Which meant that to all of them, Locke's Snow Crown wizard shoes had beaten Solas Light Foot's latest entry-level Second Circle wizard shoes in a direct head-to-head, and everyone had seen it with their own eyes.

The wizard shareholders of Solas Light Foot and Melechi Magic Step, watching the outcome from a distance, ground their teeth and stamped their feet in rage, gripping their telescopes.

Those absolute animals!

They even saw some of the watching wizards capturing the entire scene with their True Sight Orbs.

At this, the wizard shareholders all felt their hearts bleeding.

Their money, their share prices, seemed on the verge of evaporating.

Meanwhile, some of the wizard shareholders exchanged calculating glances. They had never been all that loyal to one or two particular shop alliances to begin with, and Locke had clearly already become a Second Circle wizard and would soon be establishing his own shop alliance.

Money could be invested anywhere.

Why not invest it in the strongest?

At this moment, Locke caught up to Witch Jesse. She turned and pleaded, "Wait, Locke, just wait. I had no choice, I was forced into this. I am a debt slave, I was just following orders."

In the next instant, his fern spear pierced through her heart, and simultaneously struck directly against her soul structure, aiming to kill her completely.

Yet even as Witch Jesse spoke those pleading words, a botanical attack spell had appeared in her hand, and the ring of grass on her right ring finger had raised needles of iron-hard leaves. It was clear that her plea for mercy just now had been nothing more than an attempt to lull Locke into letting his guard down so that she could catch him off balance.

After killing her, Locke stored her directly in the Bronze Cauldron.

'What a nuisance. This person is a white wizard. White wizards are human beings, and even though she attacked me in front of everyone, it will still have to go through a court trial, which means endless trouble. Her body absolutely cannot be made use of. Otherwise the Ethics and Morality Committee will investigate me to death.'

Locke's gaze settled on the last remaining Second Circle black wizard. 'But he is different. He can serve as fertilizer for my moon plants.'

In that instant, even the fanatical black wizard of the Crimson Deep Court felt a chill run down his spine, as though something had fixed its gaze upon him.
