[Leaderboard!]

1. Team Raven: 900 points

2. Team Carles: 100 points

3. Team Klein: 90

4. ...

"T-Team Raven!? Is that my team?"

Raven froze, unable to believe what he was seeing.

According to the rules of the third mission, the leaderboard displayed each party under its leader’s name.

Since Raven was the leader, his name naturally appeared on it.

What he hadn’t expected was for his team, consisting of Claire and Rose, to be ranked first by such an overwhelming margin.

"Raven? Why do you look so surprised?"

Reina’s curious voice pulled him from his thoughts.

Raven took a deep breath before letting it out.

"Try opening the leaderboard."

Reina did as he said. The moment she looked at it, her eyes widened in disbelief.

"9—900 points!?" she exclaimed. "H-How is that even possible!?"

The third mission had only started an hour ago, yet Raven’s team already had 900 points. It simply didn’t make sense.

"I don’t know either." Raven let out a small chuckle. "But I have a feeling it was either Rose or Claire. I’m leaning more toward Rose, though."

Compared to Claire, Rose’s combat skills were far superior. On top of that, she’d awakened the Assassin class, making her movements even faster and more agile than before.

As for how she had done it, Raven honestly had no idea. Nor did he care, as long as the three of them could hold onto that ranking.

"Tsk! You’re really lucky to have such amazing party members."

Reina let out a long sigh, her face full of envy.

She searched for "Leo’s Group" on the leaderboard and found it ranked 105th.

Although that rank was relatively safe, she still wasn’t satisfied.

Raven smiled and gently patted her on the head.

"Don’t worry. Since we’ve run into each other, I’ll help you hunt monsters. At the very least, by the end of this mission, you and Leo will be safe."

A smile returned to Reina’s face. However, the moment she heard Leo’s name, a flicker of anger crossed her eyes.

She remembered his cowardice—how he’d abandoned her when those people had surrounded her.

If the third mission hadn’t appeared out of nowhere, she might have died at their hands.

Oblivious to Reina’s thoughts, Raven took her hand and led her off to hunt monsters.

...

The appearance of the Raven Group on the leaderboard immediately caught everyone’s attention throughout the ancient site.

"Damn it! How is this possible? Nine hundred points? Is the system broken?"

A burly, bald man gritted his teeth in frustration. Even after splitting up to speed things up, he and his group had only managed to earn 80 points.

He wasn’t the only one complaining. Many others felt the same. Nine hundred points was an absurd number, and since killing other participants was allowed, many of them immediately set their sights on the three members of the Raven Group.

They had only one goal: kill all three and claim their points.

...

Two days later...

North Area, Hall of Judgment...

The Hall of Judgment was one of the largest areas within the ancient site where the third mission was taking place.

It was large enough to accommodate over a thousand people at once. Even if every participant gathered there, the hall would still have more than enough space.

At that moment, six people were locked in battle.

"You guys must be the Raven Group, right!?" shouted a short, fierce-looking man.

He swung his sword at the fat man standing in front of him.

"Damn it!" the fat man yelled. "Do we look like the Raven Group!? Don’t be ridiculous! We’re not the Raven Group!"

But the short man wasn’t convinced. He kept swinging his sword without letting up, while the fat man blocked every strike.

Seeing how skilled he was, the short man became even more certain that they were members of the Raven Group.

"Everyone, it’s the Raven Group! Get them!"

His two companions immediately rushed toward the fat man’s teammates—a woman and a lanky man.

Since they were lower-level than their opponents, the two were quickly overwhelmed and began to lose ground.

"Hey, it’s really crowded in here."

Both groups immediately tensed up. They stopped fighting and turned toward the voice at the same time.

A handsome man walked in through the north entrance. Beside him was a beautiful woman with shoulder-length black hair and a pair of glasses.

Their sudden appearance put both the short man and the fat man on guard.

"Who are you?" the fat man asked coldly.

Raven smiled faintly. Instead of answering, he opened the status panels of the two men.

The moment he saw them, his faint smile turned into one of contempt.

"Just two weaklings."

He shifted his gaze to the other four and checked their status before shaking his head.

"More weaklings."

His voice was calm, yet loud enough for all six of them to hear. Their expressions darkened as anger flared within them.

"What did you just say!?"

The short man, who had a hot temper, was about to charge at Raven when he suddenly froze.

The anger on his face instantly turned to terror.

He tried to speak, but before a single word could leave his mouth, his head was severed from his neck.

Srck!

Blood erupted from his neck like a fountain.

In an instant, the Hall of Judgment fell deathly silent. Everyone except Raven held their breath, as though afraid they would be next.

Thud!

The short man’s headless body collapsed to the ground.

"I-I..."

Before the fat man could finish speaking, Raven casually waved his hand.

Srck!

The fat man and the remaining four people were beheaded in the blink of an eye.

Their blood splattered across the hall, painting a gruesome scene.

When the dust finally settled, only Raven and Reina remained.

"Nice catch."

Raven looked up at the leaderboard and smiled.

Raven’s Group was still sitting comfortably in first place with 20,000 points.

Meanwhile, second and third place had only 8,000 and 7,000 points, respectively. The gap between them was so vast that it seemed impossible to overcome.

"Thanks for the help, buddy," he said, glancing down at the black shadow beneath him.

The shadow slowly materialized into a man wielding a black katana. He wore armor reminiscent of the shogun era.

His entire body was pitch black, while his eyes glowed crimson.

[Status]

Name: Migel

Monster Type: Fallen Warrior

Level: 12

Description: A ghost-type monster with extraordinary combat abilities. Its speed and endurance are equally terrifying.

Raven couldn’t hide his smile. Migel was the first monster he had summoned with his Necromancer class.

Because of his current level, he could only summon one monster.

Of course, once his level increased, he would be able to summon far more monsters, and each one would be even more powerful.

Migel bowed his head to Raven before fading back into the shadows.

Raven then turned to Reina. Her face was pale, though she was doing her best to hide it.

"Are you scared?"
