"Hold on tight, and keep your eyes closed, or you might faint," Evan warned Lia after they left the city.

Lia’s face instantly turned pale when she heard Alfred’s words, and she took a step back with tears gathering in her eyes.

"Really?" Lia asked, still feeling doubtful.

After hearing everything, Venisa looked at Lia and spoke gently.

"Thank you," Lia quickly replied, looking somewhat nervous.

She was currently sitting beside Evan and holding onto his sleeve.

Lia, who was sitting beside Evan, slowly backed away from him.

The more she listened to Evan and Alfred’s conversation, the more she felt that something was wrong.

She looked toward Venisa, who was staring at Evan and Alfred with an expressionless face, and moved closer to her because she felt that Venisa was the only normal person in the house.

Venisa sighed when she saw this and took Lia’s hand.

"Let’s go to the other room before we get infected by their villain virus."

Lia didn’t understand what a villain virus was, but she still followed her.

Meanwhile, Alfred was still laughing as he patted Evan on the shoulder.

"Good! You didn’t disappoint me." He paused before his smile widened.

"I can’t wait to see how strong you’ve become when we spar tomorrow."

The smile on Evan’s face stiffened and he nodded weakly.

’I need to find a way to escape before tomorrow.’
