World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch
Chapter 50: Colossal Skeleton General (Part 3)"This is exactly what I needed for this dungeon. I think the Lady of Luck was saving all my luck until now just to give me this skill," Evan said while looking at the details of the skill scroll again.

---) Sky Fall (Rank Two) Level 5 Active Skill: Greatly improves the user’s fist power and allows them to destroy anything that comes in the path of their fist. The power of the skill depends on the user’s Strength, Agility, and the amount of Mana used while activating the skill.
(This skill can be used without Mana, but if the user’s body is not strong enough, they will suffer grave injuries from the backlash.)

It was a simple skill that greatly increased the power of his fist.
Although Evan didn’t know exactly how powerful this skill was, the fact that it was a Rank Two skill was enough for him to learn it immediately.
Evan crushed the skill scroll in his hand, and it instantly turned into countless golden fragments.
The golden fragments were absorbed into his body, and he immediately learned his first Rank Two skill.
Since this skill could be used without Mana, Evan was extremely happy. Just before the final fight of the dungeon, he had obtained another powerful card.
He didn’t know whether his body was strong enough to use Sky Fall without suffering grave injuries, but he was confident that his Steel Body would greatly help him if he had to use this skill during the fight on the final floor.
"I really hope I won’t have to use this skill without Mana. Since it’s a peak Rank Two skill, its power will definitely be too much for me at my current level. I probably won’t die because of Steel Body and my high Health and Stamina stats, but serious injuries and pain... I definitely won’t be able to avoid them," Evan muttered as he stood up from the ground.
He walked toward the end of the graveyard, and a notification suddenly appeared before him.
[You have reached the end of the fourth floor. You can now enter the final floor of the dungeon.]
A portal appeared before Evan once again.
However, this time, the portal was golden.
Evan looked at the golden portal and slowly closed his eyes. He took a deep breath before finally opening them again and stepping into the portal.
When Evan opened his eyes once again, he found himself standing before a gigantic black gate.
The gate was ten meters tall, and countless skeleton skulls had been carved into its surface.
An ominous aura spread from its massive frame, making the entire area feel extremely oppressive.
Standing before the enormous gate, Evan looked almost like an ant.
[You have arrived at the final floor of the dungeon. Defeat the Colossal Skeleton General to conquer the dungeon.]
Evan read the notification and immediately understood what was waiting for him behind the giant gate.
"Colossal Skeleton General... Just from its name, I can already guess that it will be powerful," Evan said while gulping down his saliva.
Despite the nervousness he felt, he still took a deep breath and approached the giant black gate.
"Can I even open this door? It looks incredibly heavy."
Evan placed both hands against the gate and tried to push it open.
To his surprise, he was able to move it with ease.
The moment Evan pushed the door slightly, it opened automatically, as if it were welcoming a guest.
Evan tightened his grip around the Black Star and passed through the giant gate.
After entering, Evan found himself inside a massive, pitch-black hall.
He looked around, searching for the boss of the floor, but before he could find anything, the giant black gate behind him suddenly closed with a loud bang.
BANG!
Evan was startled by the sudden sound, but he didn’t even get the chance to turn around and look at the closed door as the entire hall suddenly began to shake violently.
RUMBLE! RUMBLE! RUMBLE!
One torch after another suddenly ignited along the walls of the hall.
The darkness gradually disappeared, and everything within the hall became clearly visible.
Although Evan didn’t really need light because of his Night Vision, he still felt slightly more comfortable now that the darkness surrounding him had been reduced.
However, the moment the torches illuminated the entire hall, Evan’s eyes widened.
At the center of the hall, the floor parted in two, and a gigantic bone throne slowly emerged from beneath the ground.
The throne was ten meters tall, and countless skeleton skulls hung from both sides of it. Sharp bones protruded from the sides of the throne, making it look like something created for a terrifying undead king.
Evan stared at the throne with wide eyes.
However, he wasn’t looking at the throne itself.
He was looking at the thing sitting on it like a king.
Sitting upon the bone throne was a five-meter-tall black skeleton.
Its eye sockets glowed with a deep crimson light, illuminating the darkness around its face.
Unlike the Skeleton Generals Evan had encountered before, this skeleton wasn’t wearing any armor.
Yet its bones looked as if they had been forged from black steel.
In its hand was a gigantic four-meter-long greatsword.
The skeleton casually held the hilt of the greatsword, as if the enormous weapon weighed nothing.
Evan also noticed a deep red gem embedded in the center of the skeleton’s forehead.
When the bone throne had completely emerged from the ground, the skeleton slowly stood up, its crimson eyes locked onto Evan.
The moment the skeleton looked at him, Evan’s entire body froze as the aura radiating from the skeleton was simply too powerful.
"Level 50, Peak of Rank One..." Evan muttered as he desperately tried to regain control over his body.
He already knew that the opponent waiting for him on the final floor would be extremely powerful.
But he had never expected it to be something like this.
Instinctively, Evan tried to regain control over his body by circulating his Mana.
However, he immediately stopped himself when he remembered the restriction of his evolution requirements.
’I can’t use Mana. Not now... Not when I’ve finally reached the end.’
Evan began taking deep breaths and after several breaths, he finally managed to regain control over his body.
At this moment, the Colossal Skeleton picked up its gigantic greatsword and started walking toward Evan.
Its Agility wasn’t particularly high because of its enormous body.
However, each of its steps covered more than four or five meters simply because of its colossal size.
The entire hall was enormous, almost about the same size as the training ground under Evan’s home.
Seeing the giant skeleton coming toward him, Evan also began moving, maintaining a safe distance from the skeleton while carefully observing it and trying to figure out how he could fight against it.
Evan knew that he couldn’t defeat this skeleton the same way he had destroyed the other skeletons on the lower floors.
Just by looking at its steel-like black bones, he knew that he didn’t possess enough strength to destroy them.
Soon, however, his gaze paused on the red gem embedded in the skeleton’s forehead.
He did not know why, but Evan had a feeling that if he could destroy that gem, he might be able to defeat the skeleton.
But there was one major problem.
The skeleton was nearly five meters tall.
How was he supposed to reach it, much less destroy it?
It was simply too high for him to attack.
And it wasn’t as if the skeleton would politely allow him to climb onto its forehead and destroy the gem.
The only option Evan could think of was to somehow reduce the skeleton’s height.
And the only way he could think of doing that was by destroying its legs.
However, Evan knew that he didn’t possess enough strength to destroy the skeleton’s bones.
’Just how can I destroy its legs so I can reduce its size and break that gem on its forehead?’ Evan thought while continuously running around the hall to maintain enough distance from the skeleton.
Suddenly, an idea flashed through his mind, and Evan’s eyes immediately focused on the skeleton’s joints.
More specifically, its knees.
Evan stared at the knee joints of the Colossal Skeleton, and a smile slowly appeared on his face.
’Although I can’t destroy its bones, I should be able to dislocate its knee joints if I attack the same place repeatedly.’
Just as Evan finished thinking, the skeleton suddenly stopped chasing him.
Evan also stopped when he saw this, wondering if the skeleton had given up.
However, the next second, his expression changed.
The Colossal Skeleton slowly raised its gigantic sword into the air.
Then, a strange roar came out from its bony mouth.
"ROOOOOAR!"
The skeleton suddenly slammed the gigantic greatsword toward the ground.
BOOOOOOM!
The moment the sword came into contact with the ground, a powerful shockwave erupted from the impact point and spread throughout the hall.
Evan was caught completely off guard, and despite being nearly one hundred meters away from the skeleton, the shockwave struck his body before he could react.
BOOM!
Evan’s body was violently pushed backward, and to his horror, he discovered that after being touched by the shockwave, he couldn’t move his body anymore, as if he had been frozen in place.
’What the hell is going on?!’ Evan shouted inwardly, desperately trying to move his body.
But no matter what he did, his muscles refused to respond.
Meanwhile, the Colossal Skeleton once again began walking toward him.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! - - - -
Each step of the massive skeleton shook the ground, and as it got closer, Evan felt as if the skeleton’s steps were landing directly on his heart.
He gritted his teeth and desperately tried to regain control over his body.
But he could only watch helplessly as the Colossal Skeleton continued closing the distance between them, its gigantic greatsword glowing with an eerie light.
