Evan stared at his status window with a dazed look, still feeling shocked that he had received a Unique Skill just after becoming a Rank One Evolver.

His surprise was understandable because Unique Skills were extremely rare. Very few people had the chance to obtain one, and in fact, most Evolvers didn’t even receive a single Unique Skill throughout their entire lives.

Evan quickly looked at the details of the skill, and the more he read, the more shocked he became.

When he finally finished reading its details, only one thought came to his mind.

’What kind of broken skill is this?’

Evan’s breathing became a bit heavier as he stared at the details of Elemental Zone with burning eyes.

"I have heard about some Unique Skills from Grandpa, and they were all incredibly powerful. But this skill... It’s just broken."

Evan patted his face with both hands to calm his excitement and sighed.

"Now I feel like suffering through that torture inside the Skeleton Graveyard to receive this Class was really worth it."

He stared at the last detail of the Elemental Zone skill, and his eyes narrowed slightly.

"I should only use this skill when I am in grave danger. After all, I can only use it once a month."

Though he could use Elemental Zone only once a month, Evan didn’t find it strange considering its power.

"Once I become more powerful in the future, maybe I’ll be able to use it more frequently."

Evan looked at the remaining notifications, and when he saw the stat points he had gained, a big smile formed on his face.

"I think all my stats should now be around 300 points."

If other people saw Evan’s current stats, they would be shocked because his stats were simply too high for an Evolver who had just reached Level 29.

Forget about Level 29—even at the peak of Rank One, it was extremely difficult for someone to have stats as high as Evan’s.

When Evan saw that his Intimidation skill had also leveled up, he was surprised because it wasn’t normal for a skill to increase in level like this without being used or trained.

’Maybe it’s because it’s a spiritual skill, and my soul power increased quite a bit after evolving to Rank One...’

He thought about it for a moment but didn’t dwell on it too much.

Evan then looked at the final notification.

"I became Level 29 and received twelve Stat Points. As I had read, after becoming a Rank One Evolver, I receive three free Stat Points for each level-up."

Since he had gained four levels, he received a total of twelve Stat Points—three points for each level.

Looking at his level, Evan couldn’t help but sigh.

"It’s really not easy to increase my level after becoming a Rank One Evolver. I killed hundreds of Rank One skeletons in the dungeon, but I only leveled up four times..."

Evan shook his head and finally looked at his status.

Looking at his status window, Evan was dazed for a moment.

He compared it to his status window from a few days ago, when he had just started his journey, and felt as if he were dreaming.

He stared at his improvements for a few more seconds before taking a deep breath and closing his Status Window.

"This is just the beginning..."

He muttered to himself and flew upward, finally deciding to return home and begin his journey to Sky Pearl City.

While Evan was flying toward the exit of the Dark Forest to return home, two people were fighting against a furious Magic Beast within the forest.

One was a man in his early twenties, while the other was a girl who also appeared to be in her early twenties.

Both of them were releasing the aura of Rank One Evolvers.

However, their auras were currently unstable because of the numerous injuries covering their bodies.

And the cause of those injuries was the furious Magic Beast standing before them.

"Why are we so unlucky? How did we end up encountering an almost Peak Rank One Magic Beast here in the outer zone?"

Alex shouted while desperately trying to figure out a way to escape from the Magic Beast.

The Magic Beast standing before them was a gigantic lizard that was nearly seven meters long. It walked on four legs as it stared at Alex and Amma with predatory eyes.

"There is no point in thinking about why it’s here. We have to get out of here, or we’re done for."

Amma spoke in a trembling voice.

Both Alex and Amma had entered the Dark Forest to hunt a few low-level Rank One Magic Beasts in the outer zone to gather some materials and increase their levels.

However, they had unexpectedly encountered this almost Peak Rank One lizard.

Both of them were Level 30, so although they had been able to fight against the lizard for some time, they had been unable to harm it in any way.

Meanwhile, the lizard continued attacking them with its skills and had managed to injure both of them.

Just as both of them were thinking of a way to escape, the lizard suddenly opened its mouth.

Its snake-like tongue shot out from its mouth like a bullet and rapidly moved toward Alex and Amma.

"Earth Wall!"

Alex shouted, and a wall of earth immediately rose from the ground in front of them.

BOOM!

The lizard’s tongue struck the wall, and the entire Earth Wall shook violently, with cracks appearing all over its surface.

Though it was on the verge of collapse, the wall still successfully blocked the attack.

Alex knew that the wall wouldn’t be able to hold for long, so he spoke to Amma.

"You go first and ask other Evolvers for help. That’s the only chance we have of surviving this."

Amma looked at Alex in shock.

"Are you an idiot? Even with both of us working together, we can barely survive. If I leave, you won’t even be able to last for a minute."

Alex smiled bitterly when he heard her.

"But even if you stay and fight alongside me, both of us will die sooner or later if we don’t get any help. So it’s better to take a chance and look for help rather than die meaningless deaths here."

Amma was about to say something when both of them suddenly felt a powerful energy being condensed in one spot.

Their expressions immediately changed, and when they looked ahead, both of their faces turned pale.

A massive gray energy ball was forming inside the lizard’s mouth, and the amount of Mana being condensed inside the attack was terrifying.

It was obvious that the lizard was planning to use an incredible amount of Mana to kill both of them with a single attack.

"Damn you, bastard!"

Alex shouted in anger, and three earth spikes rapidly condensed before him, looking extremely sharp.

"Die!"

He shouted with bloodshot eyes, and all three spikes shot toward the lizard, which was in the middle of using its skill.

Amma also didn’t lag behind. Five scorching fireballs appeared around her before shooting toward the lizard.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The volley of attacks landed on the lizard, engulfing it in their combined attacks.

Both Amma and Alex had used up almost all of their Mana in their final attacks in order to create a chance for survival.

However, when the dust cleared, their already pale faces turned even paler.

The lizard only had a few superficial wounds on its body, with no serious injuries.

"Looks like we won’t be able to get out of here after all."

Alex said with a bitter smile and slumped to the ground, his face pale with helplessness.

Amma also looked toward the lizard with despair-filled eyes, her gaze fixed on the giant energy ball in its mouth.

Just as both of them had given up and the lizard was about to launch its attack toward them, its body suddenly stiffened and the lizard stopped moving.

The gray energy ball inside its mouth also disappeared, and the next second—

BOOOOOOM!

The gigantic body of the lizard suddenly collapsed onto the ground.

Alex and Amma, who had already given up were stunned when they saw this and a baffled look appeared on their faces.

At the same time, they could no longer sense any life aura from the lizard.

"This..."

Just as both of them were feeling stunned, they noticed blood flowing out from the lizard’s head.

Both of them looked at each other in disbelief before cautiously walking toward the fallen Magic Beast.

When they came closer, their eyes widened in shock as they saw a bullet-sized hole in the lizard’s head.

Something had pierced directly through its skull and destroyed its brain.

Both Alex and Amma stared at the scene before them with shocked expressions.

"Just what happened?"

Amma asked while looking at the lifeless body of the lizard.

Alex stared at the lizard for a moment before answering in a dazed voice.

"Maybe the lizard became too excited just thinking about killing us, and its brain exploded from excitement."

Amma looked toward Alex, and for a moment, neither of them said anything.

Then both of them suddenly burst into laughter, tears of relief flowing from their eyes.

They had just experienced the fear of death, and only now did they realize that they had somehow survived.

While they were reeling in the joy of surviving, high above the trees, a person was silently watching everything with a satisfied smile on his face.

[You have killed Rank One Giant Lizard, Level 43. You have acquired +20 Stamina, +17 Agility, and +14 Mana.]

Evan looked at the bullet-sized hole in the lizard’s head, his eyes gleaming slightly.

"Now I can even kill high-level Rank One Magic Beasts just by using Wind Bullets."
