Drip! Drip!
Drops of blood slid down Evan’s face before slowly falling to the ground.
Half of his body was drenched in the ape’s blood, which had splashed all over him when its head suddenly exploded.
’I didn’t expect its head to simply explode like that...’ Evan’s mouth twitched slightly as he stared at the headless corpse.
He took a deep breath to calm his surging emotions before looking down at his hand.
"I didn’t even use my full power," He muttered under his breath.
"What if I improve the power of Sky Fall with the help of Wind Aura? And since Wind Aura is an elemental-type skill, it will receive another thirty percent boost from my job class, Elemental Apprentice."
Just thinking about the kind of power Sky Fall would display if he improved it even further made Evan tremble slightly with excitement.
While Evan was lost in thought, the rhino looked at its dead companion and immediately turned around to flee.
The guards were still stunned by what they had just witnessed, and by the time they came back to their senses, the rhino had already fled far away.
After snapping out of his thoughts, Evan looked toward the guards and when the guards saw his blood-covered face, they couldn’t help but take a step back.
Evan’s mouth twitched slightly, and he couldn’t help but roll his eyes.
"The rhino ran away?" He asked the guards after failing to see the rhino anywhere nearby.
The guards nodded, but no one dared to speak to him.
Evan shook his head when he saw their reaction and walked around the ape’s body to see if it had dropped anything.
After looking around for a moment, a surprised expression appeared on his face when he found a Rare Grade Treasure Orb lying beside the ape’s corpse.
He happily picked up the orb and put it away inside his storage ring before walking toward the guards.
When the guards saw Evan coming toward them, they all tensed up slightly.
There was no particular reason for their reaction. After seeing him kill a Rank One Magical Beast so easily, they simply couldn’t help but feel nervous around him.
Not to mention, he was currently covered in blood.
Evan sighed slightly when he saw their tense expressions and shook his head inwardly.
"Can I use the shower in your guard office?"
He had just checked out of the inn, and if he were to go back there, he would have to pay again. Although he wasn’t short on money, he didn’t want to waste it simply for taking a bath.
Hearing Evan’s question, the guard captain, who was holding a spear quickly nodded.
"Please come with me. I will lead the way."
Before going to the guard office, Evan went to fetch Lia, who was looking at him with sparkling eyes.
"Big Brother, you are so strong! You killed that big monster so easily!" Lia said with shining eyes, looking at him like a devoted fan.
Evan chuckled and gently patted her head.
"When you turn fifteen and start evolving, you will also be able to kill monsters like that easily."
After picking up Lia, Evan went to the guard office and took a shower to clean the blood off his body.
Once he was done, he came out and saw Lia waiting for him alongside the guards.
Seeing Evan come out, the guard captain spoke sincerely.
"Thank you for your help earlier. If you need anything, please tell us, and we will try our best to help you."
Evan shook his head and spoke calmly.
"You don’t need to worry about it. I did everything because I wanted to."
He then looked at Lia and asked,
"Are you ready to leave?"
Lia nodded, and the two of them headed outside the office.
Seeing them walking away, the guard captain quickly called out.
"You are not taking the ape’s body with you?"
Evan remembered the enormous size of the ape’s body and shook his head.
"You can keep it."
Hearing this, the expressions of all the guards brightened. The meat of a Rank One Magical Beast was very rare in Red Cape Town, so they were naturally delighted.
Evan didn’t waste any more time and soon left Red Cape Town.
Once outside the town, he picked up Lia and flew away using Wings of Wind.
While flying through the sky, Evan began thinking about their next destination.
’We will reach Sky Pearl City by tomorrow. But there are no towns between here and there, so we will have to camp outside tonight...’
He thought about his days of sleeping outside when he had gone to the Dark Forest and shook his head inwardly.
They continued flying for hours before finally taking a break in the afternoon.
While resting, Evan took out the Rare Grade Treasure Orb he had obtained after killing the ape.
’Let’s see what I will get from this,’ He thought inwardly before crushing the orb.
The moment he crushed it, the orb disappeared, and a silver ring with a blue gem embedded at its center appeared in his hand.
As he looked at it, Evan could even see occasional sparks of lightning flashing inside the blue gem embedded in the ring.
A look of surprise flashed across Evan’s face, and he immediately checked its details.
