Worthy Core

So! There it is. Worthy Core. The whole thing!

It's been...a lot. Four hundred and sixty chapters, and over a million words. Much longer than I would've estimated at the start - I was expecting it to take perhaps two years - and even last year at this time I thought maybe I'd be writing the last chapter around Christmas '25. That said, I've enjoyed the whole process and I'd have a hard time taking any of it out. I hope you've enjoyed it as well! I've been running the whole thing without a Patreon, and I still have no plans to take the story to Amazon, so the comments, ratings and reviews from you readers have been the main thing keeping me going.

Hint, hint - if we're at this point and you haven't rated the story yet, perhaps now would be the ideal time?

So what does this mean for Xenia Worthy? Well, this may disappoint some readers, but I will officially state for the record that Xenia Worthy's story is now capital-D Done. There will be no sequels, prequels, shared universe-cameos, or any of that. I feel that it's important for a story to have a proper ending, and even cameos can often steal the spotlight from the 'main' characters in the stories featuring the cameos, so I won't be doing that either. I may at some point in the future add in additional epilogue chapters, if I feel the need to revisit the characters as a writing exercise, but if it does happen I expect it will be far down the line. If anyone feels that a particular character or moment got left out, or if there's unanswered questions remaining, feel free to drop a comment for consideration.

What's next for me as an author then? As I mentioned a few months ago I do have a new smut-focused story on NovelPhoenix, The Breeding Adventurers of Super Stinger, which I will likely be giving a bit of extra time to for a while. BASS will remain a side-project however, and I do have something else in mind for my next real series. One that hopefully should be allowed on Royal Road, at that. I won't go into the details here right now, as it will take me some time to prepare enough content for the launch and I may end up changing my plans before then. Perhaps my biggest regret with Worthy Core was that I went into it without knowing the ins and outs and 'meta' of a successful series launch, and frankly I'm lucky it caught on as well as it did. I want to do better with the next one, and that means that I can't even guarantee that it'll be ready to launch in 2026. Mid-November at the absolute earliest, and possibly as far back as January depending on how things go, the holidays, and so on.

That said, if you're following the story I recommend keeping that turned on as I will likely be using this space to post some updates or previews as things get closer to that point. Additionally, I can recommend joining the discord (.gg/fNFDE422rM) as I'm more likely to discuss day-to-day activities there than on an official post. I can give a few general hints about what I have in mind, however.

What will be in common with Worthy Core:

- Same genre of 'horny comedy' in a fantasy setting

- Royal Road-safe levels of smut

- A LGBT-heavy cast

- A large cast

- Same chapter length and update schedule

What will be different:

- Core cast of four protagonists rather than a single character

- No litrpg aspects

- No isekai

- More world-traveling

So, there we have it! I've learned a lot over the past three and a half years of writing Worthy Core, and I hope to put those lessons to good use by creating an even better followup series for you!
