Quentin Blackwood immediately called Zane Linton, telling him to arrange a flight to Elandra at once. He had to find Ivy Sherwood!

He couldn’t wait another second. He had to go now.

Quentin Blackwood’s heart was pounding in his chest. He was going to be a father!

A wave of immense joy washed over him. Compared to this, nothing else mattered.

Although Zane Linton didn’t know why President Blackwood had suddenly decided to go to Elandra, he quickly arranged for a private jet.

But by the time he was on the plane, it was nearly dawn.

...

This was Ivy Sherwood’s second time in Elandra. The country was filled with the romantic charm of Europe, and the weather was lovely, with blue skies and white clouds.

After a flight of over ten hours, Ivy was a bit tired. Her uncle and aunt had been waiting for her, and they couldn’t help but tear up the moment they saw her.

They held onto Ivy, talking for a long time and presenting her with welcome gifts.

The last time she was here, Ivy had accidentally run into Old Master Mercer. This time, she had truly and completely become one of the Mercers.

She had also brought her mother’s ashes back with her. Now, their family was finally reunited!

The Mercer Family’s rediscovery of their little princess hadn’t been announced to the public yet, and Ivy preferred it that way.

They were a low-profile family, so no rumors had spread.

Whether it was the change in climate or a bit of motion sickness, Ivy felt drowsy and went to bed early.

Ivy had made plans with Ayre last time, promising to meet up for a meal if she came to Elandra again. The Princess had also extended a warm invitation, probably because she was so fond of the perfume Ivy had created on her last visit.

Their meeting was scheduled for the next day, so after waking up, Ivy had to head over to Ayre’s house nearby.

The Princess lived in The Royal Palace, which certainly wasn’t a place an ordinary person like her could just visit. Last time, the Princess had come to Ayre’s house as well.

Fortunately, it wasn’t far. Most of Elandra’s nobility lived in this area.

As outsiders, it was no small feat for the Mercer Family to have secured a place here. The family now controlled more than half of Elandra’s economy; even the royal family couldn’t touch them carelessly.

After a day of adjusting to the time difference, Ivy prepared to go to Ayre’s. Xavier Mercer had originally wanted to escort her personally, but Ivy declined.

Ivy recalled that she had been wearing makeup the last time she met Ayre and the Princess. ’If I don’t wear makeup this time, would that mean I deceived the Princess last time?’

After some thought, she put on makeup anyway, transforming herself back into the plain and unassuming Ivy she had been before.

Ivy and Ayre hadn’t seen each other for a while. The moment Ayre saw her, he enthusiastically asked if she had brought any perfume and if he could have a few bottles.

Iris Company offered many unique fragrances, and they were extremely popular in Elandra. After the Princess started using it, nearly all of Elandra’s nobility followed suit. This word-of-mouth was more effective than any marketing campaign.

Beyond Elandra, many people were taking iris perfume to other countries. On top of that, the fact that Iris Company’s founder was the renowned perfumer Iris had somehow leaked. Now, people from many other nations were clamoring for the perfume. Because Iris Company was still growing and hadn’t reached that scale yet, supply simply couldn’t meet demand.

Ivy didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. "I really didn’t bring any with me. How about I mix a few bottles for you on the spot?"

"You can really do that?" Ayre clearly took her seriously.

Now it was Ivy’s turn to be stunned. She had just been speaking casually, but now, if she didn’t follow through, she’d be breaking her word.

"I can, if I have the right tools, but it’s a bit of a hassle."

"No problem, no problem! Just tell me what you need, and I’ll have someone prepare it right away." Ivy figured it was fine, so she listed the necessary items.

Ayre immediately sent someone to prepare the items, then explained, "I can’t help it, iris perfume is just too popular. A lot of my friends can’t get their hands on it but still want it, so they pester me every day. That’s why when you came, I wanted to ask you to make a few bottles for me. Don’t worry, I’ll pay you for your work. I definitely won’t take them for free."

Ivy said, "We’re friends, there’s no need to talk about money. Besides, it’s not that difficult to make."

"Why don’t you open a factory for Iris Company here? I can find a location for you," Ayre said, sounding even more anxious about it than Ivy.

It wasn’t that Ivy hadn’t considered it. "I won’t trouble you. I already have some ideas, I can handle it myself."

’Besides, my brothers can help. I don’t need to trouble Ayre.’

"Why be so polite? You said it yourself, we’re friends. I can’t just take your perfume for free, right?"

Ivy replied, "If I ever need your help in the future, I’ll definitely ask you directly. But you don’t need to trouble yourself with the factory."

Ayre had a very easygoing personality, so he just nodded and didn’t press the issue.

While the two of them were chatting, the Princess arrived. When the Princess saw Ivy, she frowned again but said nothing.

She was as cold as she had been last time, interested only in the perfume Ivy made.

So when Ayre mentioned that Ivy was going to make some perfume, the Princess told her to make a little extra.

Ivy nodded, but the Princess kept staring at her, looking as if something was weighing on her mind.

However, she had heard from Ayre that Ivy was just an ordinary person from Calypsos whose father was also a perfumer.

In truth, she had been thinking about Ivy’s eyes all this time. She couldn’t shake the feeling that they were so similar to that woman’s.

’Or maybe I’m just overthinking it,’ she thought. ’It’s been over twenty years since I last saw that woman.’

Besides, almost no one knew about that matter.

Soon, the items Ayre had arranged for arrived. Ivy began to mix the perfume, with Ayre helping by her side, eager to try it himself. The Princess, however, remained silent.

Ivy taught Ayre some blending techniques, mixing the fragrances according to his preferences.

Before they knew it, evening came and night began to fall.

The servants suddenly straightened up, their expressions becoming a mixture of seriousness and excitement. Surprise flickered in the Princess’s eyes, and Ayre stood up straight. Only Ivy was left wondering what was happening.

But as Ivy followed their gazes, she saw a mature, composed man. He was very tall, but his features had a distinctively Eastern look.

Ivy froze for a second. She had seen him in the news—it was the King of Elandra.

The King of Elandra was one-quarter Calypsosian; his maternal grandmother was from Calypsos. However, the King had inherited his paternal grandmother’s looks, giving him a distinctly Eastern charm. He was also exceptionally handsome.

"What are you doing here?" The Princess hurried over to him, clearly surprised by his arrival.

The King of Elandra said, "I heard you were here at Ayre’s, so I came to see. What are you all busy with?"

As the King spoke, he glanced over at Ivy and Ayre.

When he saw Ivy, a flash of surprise and astonishment crossed his eyes.
