The fabric of reality tore open with a deafening crack that echoed across the entire golden canopy of the Emerald Crown, and the jagged edges of the massive portal immediately began to bleed absolute frost as Kai forced the spatial coordinates to lock directly over the central caldera of Ignis Prime.

Through the massive, swirling rift, the Frost Legion could look straight down into a terrifying ocean of bubbling red magma and thick, choking ash, where thousands of automated forge-constructs and indentured soldiers were marching in endless, brutal lines. The heat radiating from the enemy world was so intense that it instantly tried to scorch the cedar floorboards of the Sylfen pavilion, but Kai merely stepped forward and unleashed a tidal wave of zero-degree mana that forcefully shoved the hyper-heated atmosphere back through the rift.

[Host Action Required: Stabilize dimensional borders to prevent localized thermal detonation.]

"I have no intention of stabilizing anything, because I want them to feel every single ounce of this pressure drop," Kai stated coldly, his glowing starlight eyes locking onto the bubbling red caldera miles below the portal while he casually dismissed the flashing blue system panels. "Yena, Kaelen, tell the vanguard to lock their shields and prepare for a high-velocity descent, because we are not taking the stairs today."

"Lock your shields and brace for the drop!" Kaelen roared, his heavy voice booming across the courtyards as the towering Star-Forged giants flawlessly raised their starlight barricades and stepped into a tightly packed, unyielding phalanx.

Zara spurred her massive black stallion forward, pulling her void-bone scimitars from her hips while she offered a fierce, highly predatory grin that perfectly matched the feral anticipation of her Sand Wyrm cavalry. "The first one to touch the ground owes the rest of the squadron a round of drinks, so you had better not let these ancient giants beat us to the bottom!"

Kai offered a slow, incredibly confident smile as he turned his gaze back to the swirling red hellscape below, and then he simply stepped off the edge of the pavilion balcony, falling backward into the massive spatial rift with Yena diving flawlessly right after him.

The transition through the Astral Gateway was instantaneous and explosively chaotic, as the absolute zero temperature of Kai’s domain collided directly with the hyper-heated, stagnant air of the Syndicate’s capital world. Just as Yena had brilliantly predicted, the sudden, massive introduction of freezing mana into the boiling atmosphere caused an immediate, catastrophic vacuum effect that ripped the surrounding air straight out of the sky.

A deafening implosion echoed across the vast caldera, creating a massive shockwave that instantly snuffed out the high-altitude plasma anti-air batteries and sent thousands of automated sentries tumbling helplessly into the bubbling magma below. The indentured soldiers guarding the outer rims of the crater grasped at their throats as the oxygen was forcefully ripped from their lungs, completely neutralizing the heavily fortified defensive line before the Frost Legion even touched the ground.

"Your tactical mind is just as terrifying as your spear, Chief Enforcer," Kai called out smoothly, the roaring wind whipping through his dark hair as they plummeted toward the bubbling red ocean of the caldera.

"I just understand how to break things very efficiently," Yena laughed, a bright and entirely fearless sound that carried easily over the rushing wind, and she spun her super-cooled obsidian spear in a tight arc to deflect a stray chunk of falling iron debris. "Though I will admit that actually surfing a pressure vacuum into an active volcano is significantly more exhilarating than simply reading about it in a tactical manual!"

As they rapidly approached the boiling surface of the magma lake, Kai did not slow their descent, but instead channeled a massive surge of pure, unadulterated cold directly through his boots. The moment his feet made contact with the bubbling red lava, the absolute zero mana exploded outward in a flawless, expanding ring of pale blue light that instantly flash-froze the molten rock into solid, unbreakable black obsidian.

The freezing wave expanded at a terrifying speed, sweeping across the entire expanse of the massive caldera and permanently silencing the bubbling magma until the entire crater was transformed into a massive, highly polished floor of dark glass. The Star-Forged vanguard landed heavily on the newly formed surface just a second later, their heavy boots cracking the top layer of frost as they instantly formed an impenetrable wall of shields around their sovereign, while Zara’s cavalry landed with practiced grace and immediately spread out into a flawless flanking formation.

"Well, this is certainly a very dramatic way to introduce ourselves," Zara commented smoothly, resting her curved blades on her shoulders while she looked up at the towering, jagged walls of the crater, where thousands of surviving Syndicate soldiers were staring down at them in absolute, unadulterated horror. "Do you think they are going to surrender, or are they actually foolish enough to come down here and fight us on your ice?"

Before Kai could answer, the heavy, reinforced iron blast doors built into the sides of the crater walls suddenly hissed open, and a massive, heavily armored figure stepped out onto a raised observation platform overlooking the frozen caldera. The man wore a heavy suit of dark iron armor that pulsed with glowing orange veins, and his chest plate housed a spinning, highly concentrated plasma core that radiated an oppressive, suffocating wave of heat.

"You dare bring your pathetic little parlor tricks into the heart of the Ashen Syndicate!" the Ember Baron bellowed, his voice amplified by the glowing armor until it sounded like a roaring furnace, and he pointed a massive, heavily modified plasma cannon directly at Kai. "I do not care what kind of rogue cultivator you think you are, but you have just marched your foolish army straight into an inescapable oven, and I am going to personally melt your bones down into slag for our foundries!"

"They always talk entirely too much," Yena sighed softly, shaking her head while she tightened her grip on her spear. "It is honestly getting very repetitive, and I would love it if we could find an enemy who simply attacks us without reciting a terrible monologue first."

"Give him a moment, Yena, because I think he is very proud of his glowing suit," Kai chuckled, his voice carrying effortlessly across the frozen expanse of the caldera, completely unfazed by the terrifying plasma weapon aimed at his head. "Are you quite finished shouting, Baron, or do you have a few more empty threats you would like to get out of your system before I dismantle your entire empire?"

The Ember Baron’s face twisted into an ugly mask of pure rage, and he slammed his heavy iron gauntlet against his chest plate, forcing the plasma core to spin faster until it glowed with a blinding, hyper-heated white light.

"Burn them to ash!" the Baron commanded furiously, waving his cannon forward to signal the thousands of indentured soldiers lining the crater walls to open fire with their heavy thermal rifles.

Thousands of bright orange plasma bolts rained down from the cliffs, streaking toward the Frost Legion like a deadly, overwhelming storm of fire, but Kai did not even bother to draw his sword. He simply raised his left hand and snapped his fingers, sending a highly concentrated pulse of absolute zero mana directly into the ambient ’Frost-Bark’ shielding that the System had graciously provided to his entire army.

The massive volley of plasma bolts slammed into the Frost Legion’s ranks, but instead of melting their armor or burning their flesh, the hyper-heated energy simply dissipated into harmless puffs of lukewarm steam the moment it touched their glowing blue shields. The Star-Forged veterans did not even flinch, standing perfectly still while the terrifying bombardment harmlessly washed over them, and Zara’s warhorses merely snorted in mild annoyance as the warm steam brushed against their dark coats.

The Ember Baron stared down at the completely unharmed army in profound, paralyzing disbelief, his jaw dropping open as his absolute understanding of the universe shattered into a million tiny pieces.

"That... that is completely impossible," the Baron stammered, his arrogant confidence instantly evaporating as he looked at Kai’s cold, glowing eyes. "That plasma was concentrated enough to melt the hull of a dreadnought, so how are you just standing there?"

"Because your fire is weak, your empire is built on stolen energy, and you are currently standing on my floor," Kai replied smoothly, dropping his hand while he finally drew the Void-Star Fang from its sheath, the dark blade instantly screaming with lethal, freezing intent. "Kaelen, take the vanguard and secure the lower foundry levels, because I want every single indentured soldier unchained and every automated construct smashed into pieces. Zara, ride your cavalry up the crater walls and make sure absolutely no one escapes to warn their fleets."

"With extreme pleasure, my King," Kaelen rumbled, raising his heavy halberd high into the air. "Star-Forged, advance and shatter their chains!"
