When Sunday morning arrived, Xiaoyun woke up from his sleep.

Once out of the guest room and into the hallway, he could see breakfast had already been made.

Meanwhile, over in the living room, Leyan was sitting on the sofa with Yongyi in her arms, her black eyes seeming as if she hadn’t slept all night.

"Honey, you’re awake. Breakfast is already done."

Xiaoyun gave a quiet nod as he slowly sat down beside her. His eyes stared dead into her eyes as anger appeared in his mind.

But in the end, the anger disappeared. The fist turned into an open palm as he looked towards the baby in her arms.

He couldn’t bring himself to do it. Not in front of someone whom he loved. After all the things Leyan had done for him in the past.

The rational part of his brain told him the sympathy he felt was Stockholm syndrome. But his heart told him it was a man’s responsibility.

Responsibility to just accept it. Things that had already happened and can’t be changed. Not to waste more time on something so small.

Yet, he just couldn’t swallow down the anger like it was nothing.

"Yesterday was not nice of you at all," Xiaoyun quietly whispered, not wanting to wake up the baby by accident.

"I’m sorry, honey... Is there any way for me to make it up to you?"

As Leyan raised her hand with a closed fist and filled her cheeks with air, Xiaoyun’s face blushed a little before he shook his head.

"I just want to hear you say you admit you’re wrong."

"I was wrong. I had done irreparable damage to you... I’m sincerely sorry, please forgive me, Honey."

"I accept your apology."

"Yay!"

"Waaaaaa!"

As Yongyi woke up from Leyan’s loud celebration, Xiaoyun facepalmed, letting out a small sigh as he watched Leyan try to put the baby to sleep again.

---

Yuqi was a little surprised to see Xiaoyun and Leyan sitting together at the dining table when she entered the kitchen in her dress suit.

"Morning." The two of them said out loud.

"Morning... You two have gotten over it already?" Yuqi asked as she took a seat right across from the two of them.

"What am I going to do? Ditch you guys again?" Xiaoyun questioned back with a light-toned voice.

Leyan let out an awkward laugh as she quickly got up from her seat, heading over to the stovetop by herself.

"Hey, I’ve been busy at work in the office for the past few days while you were gone. That surely makes up for my mistake for not telling you about last night’s—"

"I’m just joking. I’ve already gotten over it."

Xiaoyun immediately interupted Yuqi as she was almost going on a whole tangent to attempt to forcefully put weights onto a right and wrong scale rather than apologizing.

"You better, hmph!"

"Calm, calm. The two of you have a big press meeting later today."

As Leyan came back with a bowl of noodles for her, more and more people started showing up in the kitchen.

"Morning, Mom, morning, Yuqi," Nami murmured as she walked into the kitchen in her pajamas.

"Morning."

"Hey, where’s my morning?" Xiaoyun questioned.

"Morning... You guys gotten over it already?"

"Of course I did. My stomach can rival a prime minister’s belly in poleing a boat."

Hearing Xiaoyun attempting to use a proverb, Nami rolled her eyes as Yueyue came down into the kitchen next.

"You guys are all good now?"

"Mhm."

As Sunday morning quickly flew by, hundreds of thousands of people were standing in front of the administrative office in the cloudy afternoon.

The majority of them were just everyday citizens, standing in line that separated them from getting closer to see up close.

Cameramen were able to get past the line, with live reports standing across from a podium that had all kinds of mic recorders attached to it.

There were police at every corner standing alongside soldiers fully armed, with the road and the street completely emptied.

"How long are they going to take?"

Just as a citizen quietly muttered to himself, rows upon rows of cars suddenly appeared in the distance.

When all of them came to a stop, several army officer with stars and stripes on their shoulder pads came out first.

Soon, it was followed by several men and women in plain suits, then finally the last two people came out of their vehicles.

Within seconds, all of the cameras were immediately zoomed in on them, but they were a little surprised.

It was Yuqi and Yiming, not Xiaoyun.

"Ahem, is the mic working?" Yuqi quietly asked her assistant, who had been standing nearby the podium the whole time.

"Yes, everything has been checked."

"Okay."

Just as everyone in the crowd thought the press meeting was about to start, neither Yuqi nor Yiming stepped up to the podium.

Soon, the wait started to make some of the journalists and the news reporters quietly talk among themselves.

"Deputy Governor! Are we waiting for someone?" One of the journalists in the crowd impatiently asked out loud.

"The governor is coming."

Despite answering the question with a calm face, Yuqi’s mind was uneasy. She didn’t even know where Xiaoyun went.

The only thing he had told her was to wait.

"Yiming, what’s taking Xiaoyun so long?" Yuqi questioned as she turned over to him for an answer.

"I don’t know either... I thought you would know."

With both of them confused and unable to give an exact time, the crowd and the reporters were forced to wait.

"Jianlin, can you go call Xiaoyun?"

"Yes, governor."

Just as Jianlin was about to run off to make a phone call, a sudden loud noise came closer and closer to their ears.

"Hey! Something is in the sky!"

Everyone immediately looked up to the sky, only to see a black dot in the distance. Even the cameras were pointed towards the black dot.

Soon, the black dot got bigger and bigger.

It was a helicopter, flying high up in the sky, even higher than all of the skyscrapers inside the city center.

"Someone jumped!"

Everyone’s attention shifted once again towards the sudden black dot that jumped out of the helicopter.

"It can’t be..."

As Yuqi’s heart started pumping faster and faster like everyone else, she almost passed out when she saw the face of the person who jumped.

Xiaoyun.

---

Back over an hour ago...

"Commander! You had never done this! You need way more experience in skydiving before you could do this."

As Fei Tian rejected Xiaoyun’s demand at the helipad, he quickly took out his gun before pointing it right at his head.

"No one tells me what to do. Do you understand?"

"Commander..."

"Now help me put this on. We’re going to practice this before we go jumping to the administrative office."

The sudden attitude change made Fei Tian feel scared for the first time. He quickly nodded his head as he helped Xiaoyun put on the wingsuit.

"We have two hours of practice before the meeting starts. We’re going to keep doing this until I get the hang of it."

"Yes, sir."

Two hours later...

As Xiaoyun stood in the helicopter, he could see the administrative building and the crowds of people in the distance.

"Commander, are you sure you’re doing this?" Fei Tian questioned one last time as the helicopter remained steady in place.

"I’m going to live the way I want to... See ya."

Within seconds of jumping out, he immediately felt a strong force yanking parts of his body to swing all over the place.

Fortunately, a helmet was between him and the wind, allowing him to see clearly as he forcefully readjusted his body.

"1000... 950... 850... 800..."

As Xiaoyun’s body continued to travel down, he immediately stretched out all of his limbs right near what he thought was the right time.

The fall drastically came to a stop, enough for him to actually glide forward as he slowly glided past rows of skyscrapers beneath him.

While in the sky, he could feel the wind and the air around his body.

A sense of true freedom as he lifted his right side, causing his body to do a little roll. There was no one there to tell him what to do.

He could do all the dangerous things in the world.

Like flying closer and closer to the skyscraper, then lifting his arm at the very last second to narrowly fly above the skyscraper.

So close to the point of being able to see through the glasses. The workers standing before the window looking right back at him.

As Xiaoyun did a little wave, he quickly readjusted his leg to counteract the sudden directional change.

His heart was beating like crazy as he almost crashed into the building by accident. He had enough fun as he quickly flew away from the building.

There was now one objective left.

The only possible place was the space in front of the administrative office. One that required precise timing to parachute.

"Now!"
