Zombie Bodyguard

Chapter 2098 - 2095: Women’s Clothing

Chapter 2098: Chapter 2095: Women’s Clothing

Mr. Yun’s expression was solemn as he said, "Being an inheritor is a responsibility, a family responsibility, a societal responsibility. If you only focus on power, the family will eventually be ruined."

"No matter who among you becomes the inheritor, remember this well." Mr. Yun concluded seriously.

"Yes, Grandpa," Ghost and Yun Xiaotian said simultaneously.

Lin Tian deeply admired Mr. Yun’s magnanimity. People with such spirit are perhaps the true entrepreneurs.

"By the way, Ghost—uh, I mean Yun Tian—with your current status, it’s probably not appropriate to be in Tianxuan Special Security anymore," Lin Tian reminded.

As the Yun Family’s eldest son and first in line for inheritance, working as a bodyguard in a security company indeed seems unsuitable.

Unexpectedly, Ghost just laughed, unconcerned. "What’s the big deal? In the future, I’ll just have one more identity, but everything else will remain unchanged. I can’t part with Brother Tian."

"Oh, come on, that’s too mushy. Leave those words for Stone and the others," Lin Tian said helplessly.

"I don’t care what Yun Tian decides to do; it’s his freedom. His identity change won’t change it," Mr. Yun said understandingly.

Lin Tian and the others chatted as the car reached the Yun family estate. Due to the incident at the annual meeting, everyone hadn’t eaten properly. Mr. Yun feared Lin Tian and the young ones were hungry, so he instructed the servants to prepare something light.

Lin Tian still returned to his usual courtyard, changed his clothes, and went to the Yun family’s dining room. It was already late, and Mr. Yun had gone to rest given his age, but most others were there except for Yun Xiaotian.

"At the Ziwei Garden, I noticed Xiaotian was unusually quiet. Has the shock been too much for her?" Xiao Manxuan remarked.

Lin Tian recalled that on the ride back, Yun Xiaotian had spoken only once at the beginning and remained silent afterward, seemingly unsettled.

The sudden revelation of a long-lost brother was one thing, but having her gender identity exposed publicly was not something an ordinary person could endure, especially given she was only fifteen or sixteen.

"Lin Tian, go check on her," Wang Wanxi offered him some pastries with an odd look directed at him.

Lin Tian couldn’t decipher this expression. He thought to himself, you’re Xiaotian’s mother; you should go. Or Yun Tian could go—after all, he’s her brother; they must have a lot to talk about. Why me?

Despite thinking this, Wang Wanxi didn’t retract the pastries, so Lin Tian unwillingly accepted and took on the suggestion.

"Xiaotian has some emotional knots. I hope you can help her untie them," Wang Wanxi sighed.

Lin Tian nodded seriously before leaving the dining room and carrying the pastries to find Yun Xiaotian. Her room was in the villa just outside the Yun family’s restricted area, not hard to locate. When he arrived, he noticed the villa was dark; both the room and living room lights were off.

What’s she up to? Wait, no, what’s the little girl doing? Lin Tian was perplexed, still adjusting to Yun Xiaotian now being a little girl, not a little guy.

Feeling something, Lin Tian looked up and saw a white figure standing atop the villa, facing the night wind and moonlight, seemingly ready to fall down at any moment. It was Yun Xiaotian, alone.

"No way, she wouldn’t be..." Lin Tian muttered under his breath, worried. Without a second thought, he vaulted upwards, leaping agilely like a bird until he reached the rooftop, swiftly pulling Yun Xiaotian to safety.

Lin Tian couldn’t help but scold, "Hey, are you crazy? You’d have loads of people upset if you jumped off!"

"Brother Lin..." Yun Xiaotian exclaimed joyfully, hugging Lin Tian unconsciously.

Lin Tian sighed internally, patting her back. She’s still just a kid, no matter how composed she seems, no matter how well the family trained her; she’s still a child. She can’t be unaffected by these blows.

After a while, Yun Xiaotian stepped back, looking at Lin Tian, with a tear still hanging from her long eyelashes, showing she had cried earlier.

Only now did Lin Tian notice Yun Xiaotian seemed different tonight. Her short, supple hair, her increasingly fair and delicate face under the moonlight; more importantly, she was wearing a white dress with pink sneakers.

Usually, she wore slightly loose boys’ clothing, but now she was in a dress. The mere change of a skirt completely erased the image of the boy she once was.

With the dress fitting well, she appeared more petite than when dressed in boys’ clothes—a delicate and beautiful young girl.

Lin Tian finally understood why he had felt something was off before; Yun Xiaotian was indeed an exquisite young lady.

"Look, such a beautiful girl. If you jumped down, you’d end up as just a mess of flesh," Lin Tian advised, taking advantage of the moment.

A blush spread across Yun Xiaotian’s fair face as she softly said, "I was just catching some fresh air, not trying to end my life."

"Are you sure?" Lin Tian studied her expression, finding no sign of suicidal intent.

"I’ve just found my brother Yun Tian. Why would I want to die? I just have some internal struggles and can’t figure out a few things, so I came to catch some air," Yun Xiaotian confidently replied.

Lin Tian greatly relaxed, "That’s good; you scared me."

You can’t keep an eye on someone truly bent on ending their life. Lin Tian’s main worry was her mindset; if she genuinely intended to die, saving her once wouldn’t ensure she wouldn’t attempt it again.

"Brother Lin cares so much about me?" Yun Xiaotian blinked, showing some happiness.

"Not just me; everyone worries about you. See, these pastries were brought by your mom for you," Lin Tian smiled, handing her the pastries.

Yun Xiaotian took them, lowering her head slightly without speaking. Lin Tian was unsure what she was thinking and said, "What were those things you couldn’t figure out?"

"Ever since I became aware, I’ve always presented myself in boy’s clothing, almost sixteen years now. Suddenly reverting to my identity, do you think others might see me as neither male nor female?" Yun Xiaotian raised her gaze, earnestly seeking Lin Tian’s answer.

Lin Tian lightly furrowed his brows and asked, "Do you see yourself as male or female?"

This was a serious question; some males raised dressed as females end up unable to accept their male identity, and there are similar circumstances with females.

Yun Xiaotian replied without hesitation, "Of course, female."

"That’s good; what others think doesn’t matter," Lin Tian relaxed again. If Yun Xiaotian faced a mental gender identity conflict, it’d be troubling.

Her clear self-awareness showed the family did much to help her, at least not harming her, or her entire life could’ve been ruined.

After some thought, Lin Tian still asked, concerned, "Do you have any proof, like hobbies?"

"Proof?" Yun Xiaotian blinked and hesitated before saying, "I like you, does that count?"
