Amon sat in his seat inside the academy while people all around him kept staring in his direction.

He had already heard his name several times since arriving.

Most of them were still having trouble accepting what they were seeing.

The boy who had once been fat and constantly struggled with his body had somehow become fit and healthy in less than a month.

Amon listened to all of it without saying anything. ’Keep staring.’

He nodded inwardly, feeling rather pleased with the attention.

He had received way too much hate during his time at the academy, and for now, all he wanted was a little peace.

If people wanted to stare at him because of his appearance, he didn’t really care. At least they weren’t insulting him anymore.

It didn’t take long before the classroom door opened and Miss Helena entered the room with a stack of documents in her hands.

She walked toward the teacher’s desk with a smile on her face. Her eyes lingered on Amon for a moment longer than the others.

Amon noticed it but decided not to say anything.

Helena placed the documents on her desk and turned toward the students.

"Good morning, everyone."

The classroom gradually became quiet.

"Today will be the only class you’ll have, so after this, you’ll be free to prepare yourselves for tomorrow’s University and College Screening."

Several students immediately became excited after hearing that.

Helena smiled when she noticed their reactions. "Tomorrow is an important day for all of you, so I want everyone to do their best and try to get into the best college possible."

She paused for a moment before continuing. "Even if you don’t get into your first choice, don’t let that discourage you, because there are many good universities outside of the Royal University."

Amon leaned back slightly in his seat. ’Here we go.’

He had already heard some of this information before, but there were still several things he wanted to know.

Helena walked with her crystal tablet toward the whiteboard and touched it.

The crystal immediately lit up and projected images on the whiteboard.

A large map of the kingdom appeared on the screen behind her. "As you all know, there are seven major sections participating in this year’s screening."

Seven different areas appeared on the map.

"Each section is watched over by one of the seven noble families of the kingdom."

The image changed again, showing the territory surrounding the academy.

"All seven of these sections come under the authority of the Duke of Edinburgh, who is one of the three Dukes of the kingdom."

Amon quietly listened while several students around him whispered to one another.

Helena continued explaining the situation.

"This year, approximately two thousand students will participate in the screening, but only one hundred students will receive seats at the Royal University."

The classroom became noticeably quieter.

Two thousand students competing for only one hundred seats meant that most of them would inevitably be rejected.

"However, remember that the Royal University isn’t the only university worth attending."

She then changed the image on the screen.

"You already know the four parameters of the screening, so I won’t waste your time explaining them again."

The screen displayed four categories.

[Physical Test]

[Mana Test]

[Combat Test]

[Potential Test]

Helena touched the crystal tablet again, and the screen suddenly changed.

Six students appeared one after another. "These are six students you should be careful around tomorrow."

The classroom immediately became interested.

Helena’s expression became more serious. "If you encounter any of them during the screening, don’t try to prove how strong you are by fighting them."

She looked directly at the students. "Run."

Several students exchanged nervous glances.

Helena pointed toward the first image. "First is Darian Voss, a student from the Northern Combat Academy."

The image showed a tall boy with short black hair and a scar across his eyebrow.

"Darian is a commoner who awakened a rare physical enhancement ability and has spent the last three years training under professional adventurers."

Amon quietly raised an eyebrow. ’Sounds troublesome.’

Helena moved to the second student. "Second is Selene Arkwright, the daughter of a noble family."

The girl on the screen had long silver hair and a cold expression.

"Her family specializes in magical research, and Selene possesses exceptionally high Mana and Intelligence attributes."

Amon nodded slightly. ’Long-range mage would really be troublesome.’

Helena moved to the third student.

"This is Marcus Hale, a student from the Royal Combat Institute."

Marcus looked like a fairly ordinary young man, but his expression was unusually calm.

"He doesn’t come from a noble family, but his combat record is one of the best among this year’s students."

Amon frowned slightly. ’That’s actually annoying.’

The fourth image appeared. "This is Lyra Ven, another commoner."

The girl on the screen had short brown hair and a confident smile.

"She possesses a rare movement ability and is considered one of the fastest students participating this year."

The fifth student appeared. "This is Kael Draven, another noble family child."

The boy on the screen had dark red hair and an arrogant expression.

"His family has produced several famous adventurers, and Kael inherited a powerful fire-based ability."

Helena sighed slightly. "He’s extremely competitive and doesn’t like losing, so if you somehow end up fighting him, don’t expect him to stop simply because you’ve already surrendered."

Amon glanced at the image. ’That sounds like a pain in the ass.’

The final image appeared. "And finally, we have Nolan Reed."

The boy looked younger than the others, with messy blond hair and a harmless expression.

"Don’t let his appearance fool you."

Helena’s tone became serious. "Nolan is a specialist in Spirit abilities, and his Spirit attribute is believed to be among the highest in the entire screening."

Amon’s eyes narrowed slightly. ’Spirit user?’

That immediately caught his attention.

Helena continued. "His abilities aren’t well understood because he rarely displays them publicly, but several experienced instructors have already warned that he is extremely dangerous."

She turned toward the students. "These six aren’t necessarily the strongest people participating, but they’re among the students most likely to cause problems."

Helena dismissed the images. "If you meet them tomorrow, don’t be stupid and run if you have to."

The classroom became quiet.

Amon couldn’t help smiling slightly. ’She’s really serious about that.’

Helena then changed the screen again. "This brings us to something else that some of you may find interesting."

A large website interface appeared on the screen.

"There is a betting site overseen by the Royal Family, and it allows people to place predictions on the screening."

Several students immediately became excited.

"You can check the estimated chances of different students getting into the Royal University, see how people are ranking you, and even place a bet on yourself if you want."

Amon looked at the screen. ’...A state-run betting site, and here I thought I saw it all.’

Helena chuckled when she saw their reactions. "Of course, don’t get carried away. The odds aren’t guaranteed to be accurate, and losing money because you became too confident would be rather embarrassing."

The class laughed.

Helena spent the next hour going over the remaining information they would need for tomorrow.

It included the rules of the screening, the general schedule, and several things they should keep in mind when dealing with students from the other sections.

By the time she finished, the students were already eager to leave.

Helena looked around the classroom and smiled.

"Alright, everyone." She picked up the documents from her desk. "Be happy, get some rest, and don’t spend the entire night worrying about tomorrow."

She waved her hand toward the door. "Class dismissed."

The students immediately began gathering their belongings and heading outside.

Amon stood up and was about to leave when Helena called him.

"Amon, wait a moment."

Amon turned around.

Most of the students had already left, leaving only a few people in the hallway.

Helena walked closer to him. "If you get into a good university tomorrow, the academy is prepared to sponsor you."

Amon looked at her with slight surprise. "You don’t have to do that."

Helena shook her head. "I know, but you’ve worked hard recently, and if you manage to get into a good university, I’d rather see the academy help you than watch you struggle because of money."

Amon smiled. "I appreciate your help, Miss Helena."

Helena nodded. "Then do your best tomorrow."

Amon gave her a small nod before walking out of the classroom.

The academy corridors were much quieter now, and most students had already gone home to prepare for the screening.

Amon walked toward the entrance while thinking about everything Helena had told them.

’Two thousand students.’

He wasn’t nervous, but he couldn’t deny that he was curious about how he would compare to them.

As Amon stepped outside the academy, his phone suddenly vibrated.

He pulled it out and looked at the message.

----

Seraphina: Quintin Hotel, 481 Street. Room 320

----

Amon stared at it for a moment before recognizing the location.

His eyebrow slowly rose. ’Seraphina?’

He looked at the address again... It was the address of a love hotel.

Amon remained standing outside the academy while staring at his phone. "...What the hell is she planning?"
