[Two Days Later]

’...God fucking Damn.’

Amon stood in front of a massive villa, quietly staring at the enormous property that stretched across the hill in front of him.

The evening sunlight fell across the white walls and tall glass windows, giving the entire villa a warm golden glow.

The carefully maintained gardens surrounding it made the place look more like a small palace than a private residence.

Amon adjusted the collar of his suit before looking at the enormous gates. ’I almost forgot how fucking rich Seraphina’s family is.’

He had known that the Vale family was wealthy, but seeing the place in person was still something else.

The driveway alone was wide enough for several carriages and cars to pass through at the same time.

Expensive-looking magical lamps had already begun illuminating the path toward the main building.

Amon walked toward the entrance, carrying a neatly wrapped gift in one hand and a bouquet of lilies in the other.

He had chosen the flowers specifically for Seraphina.

It wasn’t her birthday, but considering he was already attending her mother’s birthday party, showing up without something for her would have felt somewhat strange.

As Amon reached the gate, one of the guards immediately stepped forward.

"Invitation, please."

Amon nodded before reaching into his pocket.

He pulled out the invitation Seraphina had given him and handed it to the guard.

The man carefully examined the card before looking at Amon’s face.

After confirming the information, he returned the invitation. "You’re free to enter."

Amon nodded. "Thanks."

He walked through the gate before suddenly looking back at the guard.

’What would’ve happened if I forgot the invitation?’

Amon imagined himself standing outside the gate while the guards refused to let him enter.

’Would I have acted like one of those degenerate main characters and stormed inside anyway?’

He chuckled inwardly. ’Probably not.’

There was no reason to cause a scene at someone else’s birthday party.

Amon continued walking toward the villa.

The closer he got, the more overwhelmed he became by the sheer number of guests.

Luxury cars and carriages were parked along both sides of the driveway.

Many servants moved between them carrying drinks and guiding guests toward the main building.

Everyone inside seemed to belong to wealthy families or hold some kind of important position.

Expensive dresses, tailored suits, jewelry, magical accessories and various other signs of wealth could be seen everywhere.

Amon couldn’t help noticing several people glancing toward him.

Some whispered quietly to one another while others simply looked at him with curious expressions.

’They’re probably wondering who the hell I am and how I got invited.’ Amon smiled inwardly before shaking his head.

’Well, I wonder the same thing sometimes.’

He continued toward the main entrance while casually looking around.

The interior of the villa was even more extravagant than the outside.

A massive chandelier hung from the ceiling, casting light across the marble floor.

Several groups of guests were standing around with drinks in their hands, quietly discussing business, politics, adventurer organizations, and other matters Amon barely understood.

Amon’s gaze eventually wandered upward as he looked toward the second floor balcony and suddenly stopped.

A woman was standing there.

She wore a long elegant gown that covered her entire body, its design simple but sophisticated enough to immediately distinguish her from the other guests.

Her light blonde hair contained a faint silver tint that became more noticeable under the chandelier’s light.

Her beautiful blue eyes moved calmly across the hall, while the black lipstick she wore created a surprisingly sharp contrast against her otherwise elegant appearance.

Amon stared at her for several seconds.

’Wait.’ His eyes slowly widened. ’That’s Seraphina’s mother.’

He had never actually seen her in person before, but there was no mistaking the resemblance.

The woman was none other than the head of Vale Enterprises. ’So that’s the woman who gave birth to Seraphina.’

Amon continued looking at her before something else caught his attention.

An elderly man was standing beside her who had stoic look on his face.

’No fucking way.’ He stared at the old man for another second before immediately recognizing him. ’Daniel Edinburgh.’

The father of the Duke of Edinburgh.

The same man whom Amon had "accidentally" scammed.

Amon’s mind immediately began replaying everything that had happened.

Especially, the Duke threatening people involved in the case.

’Fuck.’

Amon slowly turned around as he began walking in the opposite direction without making eye contact with anyone.

He started taking increasingly strange paths around the hall, deliberately putting as much distance between himself and Daniel as possible.

’He can’t see me.’

Amon walked behind a group of guests before moving toward another part of the room.

’If he recognizes me, I’m fucked.’

He had no idea whether Daniel would still believe his bluff or send him to jail.

Though, Amon wasn’t interested in finding out.

Amon quickly turned around again, only to suddenly feel someone grab his hand.

"Wait." A familiar voice came from beside him. "What happened to you?"

Amon slowly turned his head as Seraphina stood beside him.

The moment he saw her, his expression softened slightly before his eyes traveled downward.

She looked completely different from her usual academy uniform.

Her elegant gown fitted tightly around her full breasts and slim waist before flowing down her hips, the soft fabric outlining every curve whenever she moved.

Her long blue hair had been carefully styled, with several strands framing her flushed face while the rest cascaded down her back.

Amon stared at her for several seconds.

Seraphina tilted her head. "Why are you staring at me?"

Amon blinked before quickly looking around. "Hide me."

Seraphina stared at him. "...What?"

"Just hide me."

She looked at him as though he had suddenly lost his mind. "Why?"

"I’ll explain later."

Amon glanced toward the second floor again.

Seraphina followed his gaze but couldn’t figure out what he was looking at.

Still, seeing the unusual seriousness on his face, she eventually sighed.

"Fine." She grabbed his hand and began pulling him through the crowd. "Come with me."

Amon followed without hesitation as the two of them eventually reached a quieter hallway away from the main gathering.

Seraphina opened a door and led him inside.

The room was spacious and bright, with several large windows overlooking the garden.

A comfortable sofa sat against one wall, while several paintings and bookshelves decorated the rest of the room.

Amon looked around before slowly releasing the breath he had been holding.

"Finally." He walked toward the sofa and sat down.

Seraphina closed the door behind them before turning toward him. "What exactly are you running from?"

Amon leaned back and took a deep breath. "Which room is this?"

Seraphina crossed her arms. "My old room."

Amon looked around again. "You still use it?"

"Not really." She glanced around the room. "I mostly use it as a drawing room now."

Amon nodded slowly. "So this is what it’s like being rich."

Seraphina gave him a strange look. "You say that as if you’ve never been inside a wealthy person’s house."

"I haven’t." Amon’s eyes wandered around the room again. "I’ve mostly lived in ordinary apartments."

Seraphina folded her arms while listening to him, unintentionally making her figure even more noticeable.

Amon’s eyes drifted toward her for a moment, especially on her full breast and Seraphina noticed immediately.

She snapped her fingers in front of his face. "Hello?"

Amon blinked and looked back at her. "What?"

"You were staring too hard." She said in a annoyed voice.

"I was thinking."

"About what?"

Amon paused. ’Definitely not telling her that.’

He scratched the side of his face and gave an embarrassed chuckle. "I saw someone familiar."

Seraphina narrowed her eyes. "Who?"

Amon scratched his cheek again. "Someone I really don’t want to meet."

Seraphina stared at him for a few seconds before letting out a quiet groan.

"I can’t deal with you right now." She turned toward the door. "There are already so many guests waiting for me, and I still need to--"

Amon suddenly moved his hand as Mana flowed through his fingers.

A thin strand of glowing mana shot forward and wrapped gently around Seraphina’s waist.

He pulled the thread as Seraphina stumbled backward before falling directly into his arms.

Amon caught her firmly, one hand settling on the soft curve of her hip while the other rested against the small of her back.

Her full breasts pressed against his chest through the thin fabric of her gown. Their faces were only inches apart.

Seraphina looked up at him, lips slightly parted.

Amon’s gaze dropped to her mouth. "Are you busy?"

"...Not really," she whispered.

She leaned in first and Amon followed the next instant as their lips met for the first time.

Seraphina’s soft mouth opened almost immediately, and Amon’s tongue slipped inside, tasting her.

She made a quiet, needy sound against his lips as her hands slid up his chest and gripped his suit.

Amon pulled her tighter, feeling the warm press of her body and the way her breasts crushed against him.

When they finally separated, a thin string of saliva briefly connected their lips before breaking.

Seraphina’s cheeks were burning red, her lips slightly swollen and glistening.

She looked away, voice soft and breathless. "You could’ve just asked me to stay."

Amon smiled, still holding her close. "I thought this was more convincing."

She leaned in for another kiss without saying anything else.
