Amon sat on the edge of his bed with an exhausted sigh.

The apartment had finally become quiet after the "punishment" of Sidney.

But instead of feeling relieved, Amon found himself staring at the ceiling and wondering about his own behavior.

’Why do I keep doing this to her?’

Sidney was undoubtedly a horrible person at times, and her attitude was enough to test the patience of anyone around her.

Still, Amon couldn’t understand why he always ended up messing with her.

’Maybe I’m secretly some kind of sadist.’

Amon frowned at the thought before immediately shaking his head.

"No, that’s stupid."

He leaned backward and stared at the ceiling for a few more seconds before another thought suddenly appeared in his mind.

"Wait." Amon’s expression became curious. "Why isn’t Sidney on the Wife Candidate list?"

The System responded almost immediately.

[You already know the answer.]

Amon became silent as he already understood how the System selected its candidates.

It wasn’t based on whether someone was beautiful, powerful, talented, or even compatible with him.

The System chose candidates according to his genuine feelings toward them.

Amon slowly lowered his gaze. ’So if Sidney isn’t there...’

Deep down, he simply didn’t have those kinds of feelings toward her.

Amon let out a quiet sigh. "Whatever."

There was no reason to overthink it.

Instead, he reached toward the spatial bracelet on his wrist and took out the Azure Spirit Stone he had recovered from the mountain.

The blue crystal immediately caught the light from his bedroom lamp, creating faint ripples of azure light across the walls.

Amon turned it around in his hand. ’What exactly am I supposed to do with this thing?’

The System hadn’t given him any useful information about it.

He didn’t know whether consuming it would strengthen his mana or simply cause him to explode.

He couldn’t even sell it easily.

The stone had been part of an illegal auction connected to the Cordo family.

Selling something that valuable could potentially bring unwanted attention straight to him.

"Keeping it is probably safer."

Amon placed the stone on the desk before taking out the thin green cultivation manual.

He flipped through several pages while examining the strange symbols written inside.

The method was clearly valuable, but he still hadn’t decided what to do with it.

His original plan had been simple.

Give it to Seraphina, trigger the tenfold return from the System, and walk away with an enormous reward.

Amon’s fingers stopped moving.

’But Felicia would definitely become suspicious.’

Giving her daughter a precious cultivation method was already strange enough considering his supposed financial background.

He was supposed to be an ordinary middle-class student who had suddenly become interested in adventuring.

If he casually produced an expensive cultivation method, an extremely valuable spirit stone, and other rare treasures, someone like Felicia would eventually start asking questions.

’I can’t ignore the fact that she is a businesswoman who could very well sell me for money.’ Amon thought to himself.

’For now, it makes more sense to keep it for myself.’

Amon closed the book and placed it back inside his spatial bracelet.

He leaned against the headboard and sighed. "Why do I even like that woman?"

The moment Felicia appeared in his thoughts, his expression became slightly complicated.

Amon shook his head. "Forget it."

There was something more important to think about.

Tomorrow was the day he would enter the dungeon with Seraphina.

Amon closed his eyes and took a deep breath. ’Hopefully, everything goes smoothly.’

---

The following morning, Amon arrived at the train station.

The platform was already crowded with students, workers, adventurers, and merchants preparing to travel to different parts of the kingdom.

Amon looked around for a few seconds before quickly spotting Seraphina.

She was standing near one of the pillars, and even in the middle of the crowd, she was surprisingly easy to identify.

Her long blue hair fell neatly down her back, while she wore a fitted dark-blue jacket over a simple white shirt and a pair of comfortable black trousers.

A small travel bag hung from one shoulder, and her calm expression made her look completely prepared for the journey.

The moment Seraphina noticed Amon, a faint smile appeared on her face.

She immediately walked toward him. "Good morning."

Amon smiled. "Morning."

Seraphina stopped in front of him as Amon said, "We’re going to Unond for the dungeon."

Seraphina gave him a slightly amused look.

"You already told me that yesterday." She lifted the two train tickets in her hand.

"I even brought the tickets, so you don’t need to worry about anything."

Amon looked at them before chuckling. "Then let’s go."

The two boarded the train and found seats together near the window.

The train slowly began moving, and the scenery outside gradually changed.

Seraphina looked at Amon for a moment before her eyes moved toward his empty hands.

"Where are your weapons?"

Amon blinked. "My weapons?"

"Yes." She looked at him with a puzzled expression. "And where is your armor? We’re going into a dungeon."

Amon smiled and, without answering, reached over and took her travel bag.

Seraphina watched curiously as he placed it inside his spatial bracelet.

Her eyes immediately widened. "You have a spatial bracelet?"

Amon nodded.

"You should have told me about this." She looked at the bracelet with obvious interest. "If I had known, I could have packed more things."

Amon chuckled. "You don’t need to bring your entire house into the dungeon."

Seraphina ignored the comment and gently took his hand.

She examined the bracelet for several seconds before sighing.

"My mother promised to buy me one someday." Her expression became slightly disappointed. "But she never did."

Amon smiled. "If you want one, I can buy you one."

Seraphina immediately looked at him. "For me?"

"Of course."

A happy smile appeared on her face, but she quickly shook her head.

"No."

Amon raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

"Because you’ve already given me enough." She looked down at his hand before smiling again. "I’m happy with what you have already given me."

Amon remained quiet for a moment, and before he could respond, Seraphina changed the subject.

"We should discuss how we’re going to handle the dungeon."

Amon nodded. "I’ll stay at the front."

Seraphina’s expression immediately became serious. "And I’ll stay behind you?"

"Exactly."

She narrowed her eyes. "Can you actually handle the front, or are you doing this because you want to impress me?"

Amon’s lips curled into a small smile. "What if I am trying to impress you?"

Seraphina’s cheeks became faintly red.

"I’ve already been impressed." She looked away toward the window. "You don’t need to risk your life just to impress me."

"I’ll be fine." He leaned back against the seat. "I’m better suited for close combat, so I’ll handle anything that gets too close."

Seraphina eventually nodded. "Fine. I’ll stay behind you and use spells and skills from mid-range or long range."

Amon nodded. "I’ll keep that in mind."

The two continued discussing their formation for the rest of the journey.

Although the plan was simple, Amon made sure they had a clear understanding of what each person would do if something unexpected happened.

After all, the last thing he wanted was to enter a dungeon without a plan.

---

Several hours later, the two finally arrived at the dungeon.

Amon stood before the entrance and silently examined it.

The dungeon was located beneath a rocky hill surrounded by dense vegetation, with a massive stone arch marking its entrance.

Dark blue mana leaked from the cracks in the stone and drifted through the air like thin smoke.

The temperature around the entrance was noticeably lower than the surrounding area.

Even the nearby plants appeared slightly different, with pale leaves covered in a thin layer of frost despite the warm weather outside.

Amon frowned.’...So this is the place.’

He could already feel something unusual coming from deeper inside.

It wasn’t overwhelming, but there was a strange pressure hidden beneath the surface.

Amon turned toward Seraphina, who was standing beside him and quietly staring at the dungeon entrance.

"Are you ready?"

Seraphina took a slow breath before nodding. "I’m ready."

Amon gave her a small smile.

"Then let’s go."

The two stepped forward together.

As soon as they crossed the entrance, the world outside disappeared behind them.

The temperature dropped sharply, and the sound of their footsteps echoed through the dark passage.

Seraphina instinctively moved a little closer to Amon.

Amon activated his Truthseeker’s Eye and looked deeper into the dungeon.

The entire world glowed red.
