It was already night when Amon returned back to Langton City.

A car finally came to a stop in front of Amon’s apartment building.

He stepped out of the backseat and stretched his arms slightly after spending most of the journey sitting inside the cramped space.

Amon turned toward the open door and looked inside at Felicia, who was still sitting comfortably in the back. "Thanks for the ride."

Felicia waved her hand dismissively. "You did a good job today."

Amon smiled before reaching for the door.

Just as he was about to close it, Felicia suddenly spoke again. "Come to my office on Sunday."

Amon paused and looked back at her. "For what?"

Felicia’s lips curled into a small smile. "Business, partner."

Amon remained silent for a few seconds.

The word partner continued echoing inside his head as Felicia closed the car door.

The vehicle slowly drove away, leaving Amon standing alone in front of his apartment building.

He stared at the disappearing car for several seconds before his face suddenly brightened.

"Fuck yeah!" Amon slammed both hands together in excitement.

’I’m finally getting into business with someone powerful and influence!’

He had already been thinking about how much capital he would need to begin his plans.

If Felicia was willing to invest, things would become much easier.

Amon couldn’t help grinning as he walked toward the entrance.

’Now I just need to make sure I don’t screw this up.’

He reached his apartment, opened the door and stepped inside.

The moment he entered the main hall, he noticed someone sitting on one of the sofas.

Ambrosia was calmly reading a document while occasionally sipping tea from the cup beside her.

She looked up when she heard him enter.

A gentle smile appeared on her face. "You’re finally back."

Amon stopped for a moment.

Felicia’s warning immediately came back to him.

Those savages won’t hesitate to kill anyone if they believe that person can bring them harm.

His expression became slightly more serious before he walked toward Ambrosia.

"Yeah."

Ambrosia placed the document on the table. "Did you have a good trip?"

"It was interesting."

Amon sat down across from her before remembering something important. "What happened with the Cordo family case?"

Ambrosia’s expression brightened immediately. "I submitted copies of all the information I gathered."

She looked rather pleased with herself. "Everything is in the hands of the court now. All I need to do is appear when the court gives its final decision."

Amon nodded slowly before he cautiously asked, "Did you really have to involve yourself in this mess?"

Ambrosia raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"The Cordo family isn’t exactly harmless." Amon leaned back slightly. "Wouldn’t getting involved even more put your life in danger?"

Ambrosia smiled as though she had already considered the possibility.

"You don’t need to worry about that." She picked up her cup again. "They won’t openly attack a public attorney."

Amon frowned slightly. "You’re sure?"

"Of course." Ambrosia took a sip of tea. "If something happened to me after I submitted evidence against them, the entire matter would become much worse for them."

She placed the cup down before continuing. "They have enough enemies already. They aren’t stupid enough to make themselves responsible for attacking a public official."

Amon slowly nodded. "That makes sense."

Still, he didn’t felt completely comfortable with the idea. He inwardly thought of keeping her safe.

The two continued talking for a while.

Ambrosia asked him about his trip, and Amon gave her a vague explanation about the dungeon without mentioning anything about the hidden elf or Nadya’s secret.

Eventually, Amon stood up. "I’m tired. I’m going to my room."

Ambrosia smiled. "Get some rest."

Amon nodded before walking upstairs.

---

The moment he entered his room, Amon closed the door behind him.

He walked toward the bed and dropped onto it with a long sigh. "Finally."

He leaned back against the mattress before opening the System.

The familiar interface appeared before his eyes.

---

---

Amon stared at his status for several seconds. ’Level thirteen.’

He had gained several levels during the dungeon expedition, but his stats still weren’t where he wanted them to be.

’I need to figure out my next step.’

Simply increasing his attributes wasn’t enough anymore.

He wanted to refine his skills and expand both his defence and attack.

Amon eventually moved toward the rewards he had received from the Spirit cultivation method and Azure Spirit Stone.

The first item appeared before him.

---

[Item: Spirit Sovereign Scripture]

[Grade: Platinum]

[Description: A profound Spirit cultivation method capable of allowing the cultivator to refine and strengthen their spirit.]

[Additional Effect: Can repair damaged spirits, walk into the spirit world and stabilize corrupted spiritual structures.]

---

Amon’s eyes immediately widened. ’This might actually help Nadya.’

The cultivation method was considerably more advanced than the one he had given her.

More importantly, it specifically contained a method for repairing damaged spirits.

He had no idea what does the walking part means, so, he left it alone for now.

’I’ll have to study this properly.’ Amon moved toward the second item.

---

[Item: Soulpiercer]

[Grade: Platinum]

[Type: Spirit Weapon]

[Description: A weapon formed from condensed spiritual energy. It can directly attack the spirit of a target while bypassing most physical defenses.]

[Special Effect: Spirit Rend]

[Effect: Attacks made with Soulpiercer can damage spiritual structures and disrupt spiritual energy.]

---

Amon stared at the weapon for several seconds. The weapon appeared in his hand.

It was a slender dark blade with a nearly transparent edge.

Unlike ordinary weapons, it didn’t feel completely physical.

Faint silver particles continuously moved along its surface, almost like tiny stars trapped inside the blade.

Amon slowly ran his fingers along the handle before looking at the weapon more carefully.

’This is definitely going to be useful.’

He placed Soulpiercer beside him and leaned backward on the bed.

His thoughts drifted toward Nadya. ’First I need to understand this cultivation method.’

If the information inside it was enough to help him treat her, then his supposed one-week deadline might not be impossible after all.

Amon stared at the ceiling for several seconds. The exhaustion from the dungeon finally caught up with him.

His eyelids became increasingly heavy.

He slowly closed his eyes. "Tomorrow..."

His voice faded as sleep took over.

---

Amon suddenly woke up as his eyes opened halfway.

For several seconds, he couldn’t understand what had disturbed him.

...Until he looked under his blanket.
