Amon floated silently above his body, staring at the strange world around him.

An endless spiritual ocean stretched in every direction, its surface glowing with faint blue and silver light.

Enormous waves moved beneath him without making the slightest ripple.

The sky above him was impossible to describe.

It wasn’t truly a sky, but it wasn’t darkness either.

Countless points of light drifted through the distance like stars beneath the surface of a gigantic sea.

Strange streams of spiritual energy moved between them like glowing currents.

Amon slowly looked around. ’What is this place?’

He couldn’t find an answer.

There was no System notification explaining what had happened.

For some reason, however, he wasn’t particularly worried.

Instead, he felt strangely relaxed.

Amon lowered himself into the spiritual ocean, and his astral body immediately began moving through it as naturally as if he had been swimming his entire life.

The water wasn’t wet.

It felt more like an enormous collection of energy surrounding his body, flowing around him while carrying pieces of light along with it.

Amon pushed himself forward and began swimming. ’This is actually pretty fun.’

He didn’t know where he was going, but there was something strangely enjoyable about simply moving through the endless ocean.

As he swam farther away, he began noticing creatures moving beneath him.

Some were small enough to fit into the palm of his hand, resembling tiny glowing fish that moved together in enormous schools.

Others were much larger.

He saw a creature with the body of a deer and antlers made from spiritual energy walking across the surface.

Farther away, Amon spotted something resembling a giant bird flying beneath the water.

There were also serpents, wolves, cats, insects, and creatures Amon couldn’t even begin to identify.

Each one had a different shape and size, and all of them seemed to exist naturally within this strange spiritual world.

Amon swam closer to one particularly large creature.

It looked like a whale.

The enormous creature passed beneath him, its body so massive that Amon couldn’t see its entire length at once.

A deep sound suddenly echoed through the spiritual ocean.

"Wooooooommmmm..."

The sound was so deep that Amon could feel it passing through his entire astral body.

His eyes widened. ’Was that a whale’s call?’

The whale slowly disappeared into the distance, its enormous tail creating waves of spiritual energy.

Amon laughed quietly and followed it for a while.

He had completely forgotten about cultivation, his family, and everything else.

Amon continued swimming through the spiritual ocean, occasionally approaching one of the strange creatures before moving somewhere else.

He simply enjoyed himself.

Several minutes passed before Amon finally noticed something strange.

He looked down at his hand.

A faint stream of spiritual energy was drifting away from his fingers.

At first, he thought it was simply part of the environment.

But then he noticed that his fingers were becoming transparent.

Amon stopped swimming. "...Huh?"

He stared at his hand in confusion as the transparency slowly spread toward his wrist.

’...Wait.’

He looked at the rest of his body, and the same thing was happening everywhere.

His astral form was slowly disappearing.

Panic should have immediately taken over his mind.

He should have been terrified.

But Amon simply stared at his fading body with an oddly calm expression.

’Why am I not scared?’

His thoughts became clearer, and his memories returned.

Normally, those thoughts would have immediately filled his mind with anger, worry, or anxiety.

But right now... There was nothing.

Not even the smallest negative emotion remained.

’Something is wrong.’

The realization finally broke through his peaceful state.

Even though he knew he was slowly disappearing, he couldn’t properly feel the panic that should have accompanied it.

’I’m losing my emotions.’

Amon immediately turned around.

His physical body was somewhere behind him, but the endless spiritual ocean made it difficult to tell exactly where he had come from.

Amon began swimming as quickly as possible.

He pushed through the spiritual currents, ignoring the strange creatures around him.

He didn’t know what would happen if his astral form completely disappeared, and he wasn’t willing to find out.

His body was already becoming increasingly transparent. ’Come on, where is it?’

Amon searched desperately, and he finally saw it.

A faint connection of spiritual energy stretched through the ocean, leading toward something that looked like a distant silhouette.

Amon immediately followed the connection.

He accelerated as much as he could and eventually saw himself sitting cross-legged on the bed.

Without thinking twice, Amon rushed toward his body.

His astral form collided with his physical body, and for a brief moment, everything went white.

Amon’s consciousness disappeared, and his body fell sideways onto the bed, completely unconscious.

Inside the next room, Ambrosia and Sidney were lying together beneath the blanket.

Despite supposedly going to sleep, neither of them had actually fallen asleep yet.

Ambrosia was still affected by the medicine, which had left her unusually cheerful and childish.

Sidney had been quietly staring at the ceiling for several minutes before finally turning toward her mother.

"Mom?"

Ambrosia turned her head. "What is it?"

Sidney hesitated for a moment before asking, "Do you like Amon?"

Ambrosia blinked, and a small smile appeared on her face.

"Of course I do." She sounded completely sincere. "I’ve always liked him."

Sidney looked at her curiously. "Since when?"

Ambrosia thought about it for a moment. "Since the beginning, I suppose."

She smiled softly as she remembered the years they had spent together. "Amon is probably the best thing that ever happened to my life."

Sidney’s expression softened. "I feel the same."

The words came out naturally, but the moment Sidney realized what she had said, her face changed. "I mean... I used to like him when we were kids."

Ambrosia raised an eyebrow.

Sidney quickly continued before her mother could say anything.

"Even back then, when he was still chubby, I thought he looked nice." She paused and frowned. "But that doesn’t mean I like him now."

Ambrosia looked amused. "Really?"

"Really." Sidney crossed her arms beneath the blanket. "I just don’t like it when he starts acting all caring and protective toward me."

Ambrosia tilted her head. "Then what do you want him to do?"

Sidney opened her mouth and closed it. She thought about it for a few seconds before answering.

"I like it when he’s strict with me." Sidney was oddly mesmerized by her thoughts. "And when he’s always giving me that death glare."

She tried to imitate Amon’s expression, narrowing her eyes and making herself look as intimidating as possible.

Ambrosia couldn’t help but laugh.

Sidney continued, getting carried away by her own explanation. "I don’t know, I just prefer it when he’s more aggressive and dominant about things, like when he’s acting like a strict fath—"

She suddenly stopped herself as her face became red with embarrassment.

Ambrosia shook her head while still smiling.

"Amon would never act like that." She reached over and gently patted Sidney’s head. "He’s a sweet and good boy who cares about his family more than anything."

Sidney immediately looked away.

"He would never." She paused rememcing the distant past between them. "He’s still annoying, though."

Ambrosia smiled gently. "He isn’t."

Sidney nodded seriously. "He’s incredibly annoying."

She began listing his flaws, from his habit of lecturing her to the way he sometimes looked at her whenever she did something stupid.

Ambrosia listened with an amused expression.

After a while, she suddenly asked, "Do you like your brother?"

Sidney immediately answered.

"No." The response was so fast that Ambrosia couldn’t help but smile.

"I don’t like him or anything. I am just tolerating his presence."

Sidney turned her face toward the other side of the bed.

Her voice had become quieter, and she avoided looking directly at her mother.

Ambrosia stared at her daughter for several seconds.

She soon noticed the faint blush spreading across Sidney’s cheeks.

"I like Amon more than anything now," Ambrosia said softly. "More than my late husba..."

She fell asleep halfway through her words.
