With the promise finally made, the woman tried to push her frail body onto her feet. But her knees shook and her legs almost gave in. She was about to collapse back on the ground when Gu Fan moved and caught her mid-way.

"What are you doing?" The woman looked at her and blinked.

"You walk slower than a turtle carrying a mountain," Gu Fan replied in annoyance, completely losing his heavy patience as he stepped forward, and without any hesitation, Gu Fan grabbed the old woman by her hand, lifting her light body off the floor like an empty bag of dry bones.

The old woman smiled sadly, "This is just what we have acquired in the last two years."

"There was more?" Gu Fan’s eyes widened in surprise, only to see the old woman nod.

"We gathered everything little by little."

"Now..." Gu Fan grinned, "It belongs to the victor."

"Boy..." The old man began to speak.

"Don’t worry. I will remember my promise." Gu Fan cut her off in the middle.

"Very well then, this is all yours now," the old woman nodded as she struggled to properly breathe.

She slowly held out her thin, trembling hand, offering him the dark purple jade token once again.

"Take this elder token to my Sect, and save my sisters from that useless imbecile."

Gu Fan walked over to her as his eyes stared entirely down at her before reaching out to take the jade token from her trembling fingers.

"Now you can rest easy," Gu Fan said, his eyes glued to the token.

"Wha...?!" The old woman looked slightly confused, but before she could register his words, Gu Fan’s eyes narrowed.

Without any hesitation, Gu Fan smoothly pulled out the Earth-Grade steel dagger he had looted from Gu Tian earlier and swung the sharp dagger at her throat.

The razor-sharp blade cleanly severed her thin, frail neck with absolutely zero resistance, cutting through her decaying flesh and brittle bones like a hot knife through butter.

And the very next second, her wrinkled, surprised head flew right off her bony shoulders, bouncing across the cold stone floor as a pressurized fountain of thick dark blood sprayed all over the nearest wooden crate of glowing spirit stones.
