At first, Shinomiya was hiding his satisfaction at seeing the three imprisoned, or at least he thought he was doing so.
People looked at him and soon realized there was a certain pleasure in seeing those people behind prison bars.
The soldiers said nothing, as that would be considered an insult to him, so they all just watched in silence.
Many soldiers felt the same way. The families had always been hated, but the hatred had always remained relatively hidden, to the point that few had the courage to speak about it. This caused a false sense that people liked and respected the great families.
Shinomiya was reading some reports. He had proof that the three had tried to do something, but it would still be difficult to keep them all imprisoned for what they had done. Therefore, he planned to hand over all the evidence of financial crimes against the Imperial system.
Quer was just a different name for someone trying to take advantage of the economic system.
That was too bureaucratic for him, so he summoned some people who understood the subject better and handed all the information over to them. This way, he ensured that the plan to keep the three imprisoned would still work.
Himura was nervous. He couldn’t sit still, so he walked back and forth, and that was annoying Tsukishiro.
Shinozaki was in a cell next to them. She listened to the discussions and became nervous.
’Where is Kazuma?’
She wanted him to have some plan capable of getting her released, but as time passed, hope slowly died.
Kazuma had tried, but there was no way to get support against the general, only if the Emperor himself asked for the three to be released, but he knew that would not happen.
Tsukishiro Kiyomasa went to the Imperial Palace twice, but no one received him. The Emperor was too busy for that, or so they said, but he knew that was a lie. He was just having fun.
But he had not given up trying to buy the Emperor’s pardon.
Masaru was sitting in his chair while watching television. He was trying not to think about the new problems, but Amanda always reminded him when she asked about the stock.
Every new adventurer who came out of the dungeon brought the joy of seeing that the guild was slowly returning to normal, but then came the anxiety of knowing how he would manage to pay for all the drops they had collected.
"But isn’t that a good thing?"
Amanda did not understand the consequences of this.
Masaru was too tired to teach her. He just asked her to leave him alone and stop with the reports.
The temporary assistant, Irina, was gradually getting used to the job. She did not know that she would be hired full-time and take Amanda’s place.
It was a shame, a great loss to have Amanda fired, but at the same time, it was the best thing to do at the moment. He knew that if she continued, more problems could occur.
Just having Kaede on vacation was enough to open his mind.
The new employee did not have the same charm. Her breasts were small, and her body was unattractive. Some men might even like her, but not Masaru.
Haru drank the remaining twenty-nine XP potions. He stayed at the same level, but made the inventory’s storage space a little larger.
He took the potions that were in the inventory and offered them to the man at the weapon shop, who refused. He did not sell any potions and was not interested in alchemical items for personal use either.
He only sold and bought magical items. Even the items prepared by alchemists were prepared internally, as he liked to have control over production. This was very good for the customers, but horrible for Haru.
He went to the strange guild and made an offer. The bottomless receptionist was about to say no. But a man wearing colorful clothes went over to him. Haru looked at the man, who responded with a smile, his golden teeth shining intensely.
It looked like he was going to slap the employee, but he did not. She quickly dodged, and he gave up on hitting her.
Ryuji Genda asked to see the potions Haru wanted to sell.
He began checking their quality. All the potions had very high levels of purity, and without a doubt, those potions were the best he had ever seen in his entire life.
"The potions really are good. I’ll pay four copper coins for each one," he said slowly and wearily.
Haru knew the potions were worth more, much more.
"I can’t sell them for that price."
Genda looked at him.
"Do you know how bad the crisis is?"
Haru did not answer. He knew where the conversation was going.
"I’ll pay six copper coins," he said as he opened a seemingly expensive coin pouch.
Haru knew he was almost broke, so in a way, those coins were all he could afford to pay, but even so, Haru knew the potions were worth much more than six copper coins.
"Eight coins. I know what you’ll do. The price you’ll put on them will be much, much higher."
Haru seemed convinced, and the man did not like his tone of voice.
"All right, but let’s keep this just between us, okay?"
Haru wanted that. He did not want anyone else to know that he was offering the potions. He did not even care about the money, he just wanted to get rid of the items.
But at the same time, he did not want to be made a fool of by a seller.
The man began counting the bottles. Haru knew the exact quantity, so if the man tried to scam him, he would know.
Genda let Haru have a little fun inside the Dungeon until he finished counting.
Haru took advantage of it. He went to the twentieth floor and searched for the earth dragons, which were not on that floor. He had forgotten that in this dungeon, these monsters stayed one floor below.
Haru placed a few bets and waited for the results of the bets while he killed the dragons.

Haru began killing the dragons with one less shot. He could deal more damage using weapons that were not firearms, since the attack power was reduced by half. But firearms made him sweat less and feel less pain.
Besides, these weapons only caused a little pain in his hands, nothing as strong as the pain in his shoulders from using a heavy weapon. Even with the items to reduce the pain, he still hated having to use several items for that.
But it was a very easy problem to solve, it was just a matter of stretching before entering the dungeon. Mio and Hina always stretched, he had always hated doing that, and because of that, he felt the pain.
A few minutes passed. He still needed many points to level up, but he did not want to wait too long to reach the higher levels and thus make entering the Academy easier.
"Do you have any XP potions?" Haru asked the gigolo.
"I only have two in stock. At the moment, I’m out of any materials for these potions," he said in a disappointed tone.
"What materials do you need?"
"I need lesser chimera feathers, and the blood and crystal of normal chimeras. With those materials, I can make ten potions."
Haru did the math in his head.
"Seventeen hundred and fifty copper coins, so each potion costs one hundred and seventy-five copper coins."
"Those are only the material costs. I also consume some crystals to heat the cauldrons, the bottles, and I need time to finish them, so I sell each potion for twenty-five silver coins," he said while looking at Haru’s face.
He did not notice any change in his expression and considered that appropriate. He hated people who complained about prices.
"I want a new deal," Haru said.
"What do you suggest?"
"I’ll get the materials. I’ll bring them to you, and you’ll make the potions for me. The costs of the other materials and the labor will be deducted from what you owe me. Does that seem fair to you?"
"So ten purchased potions would be enough for ten potions produced with all the materials provided by you. Am I right?"
He was not completely right, but it seemed fair to Haru, who agreed to the offer.
"Go to the reception desk. She’ll tell you which floors you need to go to. Bring me the materials, and I’ll start producing all the potions as quickly as I can."
The lesser chimeras were killed quickly. Only one shot was enough to kill a monster.
Without Mio, he had to keep bending down to collect the drops. He hated that. He had gotten used to Mio doing this work.
He obtained twenty-five feathers.
He went to the other floor the receptionist had mentioned. He began the slaughter and obtained another twenty-five crystals and blood from greater chimeras. This was enough to produce two hundred and fifty potions.
The Emperor seemed tired. After many attempts, Tsukishiro wore him down. No one else in the palace could stand that man anymore.
"So you want me to go against the law my family created?"
Tsukishiro remained silent.
Even though he had offered a large amount of gold coins, the Emperor seemed angry.
’What did I do wrong?’
"Your son was conspiring against Kazenomi City. He and three other people were arrested and are awaiting trial. Did they really think they could cause a problem that big and get away with it?"
Yes, they did, but Tsukishiro did not know what his son had done, nor did he know why the Emperor was acting that way.
He thought about raising his voice, but he knew he was on the weaker side at that moment.
Tsukishiro knelt down, and the Emperor stared at him. That scene was amusing. He liked seeing people becoming afraid and begging for help.
"All right, I’ll issue an order for your son to be released. The others will remain. But I want him to stay away from trouble for a while. If this is not followed, I’ll have to..."
Tsukishiro slammed his head against the floor and thanked the Emperor.
Some ministers were laughing.
He felt humiliated, but it was necessary. This way, he would be able to leave the family’s image cleaner.
