Aksai looked at the Devil’s Den surrounding Emerald Cove Island.

The formation was still functioning at full capacity.

In fact, with three of its four major targets gone, the pressure on the formation had decreased considerably.

The Demon Tree had more freedom to manipulate the formation, and the Demon Vines no longer needed to divide their attention between multiple battlefields.

The various killing mechanisms of the Devil’s Den could now be concentrated almost entirely on Varesh.

This was exactly what Aksai wanted.

’Now I can finally make full use of the formation.’

His eyes became sharp.

The Devil’s Den was at its peak.

And so was he.

At least, that was how he intended to enter the final battle.

Aksai took a slow breath.

He looked around the fog-covered island one last time. He was about to fly toward Varesh’s location when a certain spectral prompt flashed before his vision.

A familiar voice followed.

[Master. Kalina’s Spirit Mark has been successfully decoded and generated.]

[Using a drop of Kalina’s blood as a medium, you can create a Blood Rune on your arms. The Spirit Pulse released through the Blood Rune will be handled by me.]

[The Blood Rune will allow you to wield Kalina’s Natal Sword for up to two hours. Kalina’s Natal Sword will retain up to 80 percent of its efficiency under such conditions.]

A faint smile slowly appeared on Aksai’s face.

This was what he had been waiting for.

Ever since he had obtained Kalina’s Natal Sword, Aksai had understood its value. But possessing the Natal Sword and being able to properly wield it were two completely different matters.

A Natal Sword wasn’t an ordinary artifact. It was deeply connected to its owner’s cultivation path, bloodline, soul, Weapon Intent, and other such factors.

Without the appropriate means, trying to forcefully wield such a weapon was no different from grabbing a blade that didn’t recognize its owner. In some cases, it could be even worse than using an ordinary weapon.

But now, Nuri had found a way after updating her database.

Aksai hadn’t been idle after killing Kalina. Even though he hadn’t personally checked Kalina’s possessions carefully, he had asked Nuri to analyze all the jade scrolls she possessed.

Nuri then used that information, along with the knowledge contained in the Bloodfiend Manual, to come up with this little trick.

Using Kalina’s blood as the base, Aksai could temporarily establish a Blood Rune. This Blood Rune would be directly linked to Nuri, allowing her to alter the Spirit Pulse released through it and mimic the Spirit Pulse of the Natal Sword’s original owner.

Although it sounded simple, controlling the Blood Rune and making it mimic the owner’s Spirit Pulse in the dynamic environment of a Lord-level battlefield required a tremendous amount of calculations.

Such calculations were far beyond the capabilities of any Lord-level cultivator. Thus, even though the cultivators of the Shinayin Empire had similar techniques to temporarily make use of someone else’s Natal Artifact, they were practically useless in real-life scenarios and only served as reference projects.

Only Aksai, who could make use of Nuri, was able to wield someone else’s Natal Sword in this manner.

Of course, this trick also had its limitations.

First, it required the original owner’s blood with its essence still intact.

Second, the Blood Rune wouldn’t work if the owner of the Natal Sword was still alive and present at the scene.

Lastly, a single Blood Rune could only generate a duplicate Spirit Pulse that matched the original owner’s for two hours before the blood essence ran dry.

However, two hours were more than enough for Aksai’s current needs.

Especially for the battle he was about to fight.

The Spirit farmer’s hands slowly clenched, and his smile disappeared.

What remained was determination.

Aksai didn’t waste any more time.

A spectral screen appeared before him.

Nuri’s runic interface shifted several times before a complicated diagram appeared in the center. It was made of various Essence Equation Runes that came together to form a single Blood Rune.

From a distance, it resembled a tiny python formed entirely from crimson-gold runes.

Its body was covered in miniature Essence Equation patterns. Its head was no larger than Aksai’s fingernail, yet the runic creature continuously twisted and moved across the spectral screen as if it were alive.

[Generating Blood Rune.]

[Constructing Spirit Pulse replication structure.]

[Establishing a temporary connection with Kalina’s Natal Sword.]

Aksai didn’t waste time admiring Nuri’s ongoing work.

"Yelia."

His voice echoed through the Enchanted Everwood Farm.

A moment later, the spatial connection between the farm and the outside world opened.

A small vial flew through the opening.

Aksai caught it with one hand.

The vial was made of transparent jade and tightly sealed with several layers of protective runes.

Inside it was a single drop of dark-red blood essence.

It was Kalina’s blood.

Aksai had preserved it carefully after killing her and storing her entire body inside a specialized puppet container.

Aksai opened the vial.

A faint bloody fragrance immediately spread through the air.

Without hesitation, he dipped two fingers into the blood essence.

Then, he touched his left arm.

The first stroke landed.

Hummm...

Crimson-gold light spread across his skin.

A tiny runic python emerged from his fingertips.

It slithered upward.

The creature’s body stretched as more and more runes formed behind it.

From his wrist to his forearm.

From his forearm to his elbow.

Then from his elbow toward his shoulder.

The runic python wrapped itself around his arm again and again.

Its body intertwined with itself, forming a dense network of Blood Runes.

Aksai didn’t stop.

He dipped his fingers into the blood essence again.

Then, he drew the same pattern across his right arm.

Hummm...

Another runic python emerged.

It immediately crawled across his skin.

The two Blood Runes soon covered both of Aksai’s arms completely.

They looked almost like two crimson-gold serpents had coiled around his limbs.

Then—

[Blood Rune construction complete.]

[Beginning Spirit Pulse synchronization.]

Nuri’s voice sounded in Aksai’s mind.
