Chapter 150: Chapter 150: No One is Simple (7)

The three exchanged a look. ’Who did she get on the wrong side of this time? Well, it’s got nothing to do with me!’

"Which one of you is Seraphina Sterling?" a one-eyed man carrying a large iron bar roared at the three of them.

Simon and Genevieve Churchill glanced at Seraphina. ’Where on earth did you manage to piss off this murderous-looking crew?’

Seraphina’s slender eyebrows nearly knitted together. ’How should I know!’

"You! That’s right, you! Get over here!" The one-eyed man locked his gaze on Seraphina. "Someone paid me to come teach you a lesson. To make you remember your place and what someone of your status should and shouldn’t be doing! Don’t overreach, or it won’t be just a broken arm next time! Today, me and my boys are gonna bust this arm of yours!"

Before the one-eyed man could even finish, he had already grabbed Seraphina’s right arm. Just as he was about to make good on his threat, Seraphina twisted free with a sudden burst of strength. While breaking his hold, she seized his wrist. "You want to teach me a lesson? Break my arm? I’m actually quite curious. Who thinks so highly of me that they’d need to send so many people?"

"That’s— AARGH..." Before the one-eyed man could finish his sentence, Seraphina gave a sharp tug and snapped his arm.

"You bitch! Everyone, get her! Beat her! Beat her senseless! She dared to break my arm!" The one-eyed man clutched his now-broken arm and screamed at his underlings.

Seraphina rolled her wrists. "Excellent. A perfect chance to loosen up." She didn’t even see these small-time thugs as a threat. It was just that someone on their period tends to be extremely irritable and in desperate need of a release.

Genevieve Churchill had wanted to join the fight and help, but Simon pulled her back. "Save your fancy but useless moves. If you joined in, she’d probably have to split her attention just to protect you."

"So my skills aren’t good enough to help. Why don’t you go?" Genevieve shot him a glare, then turned her full attention back to the fight.

"These guys aren’t even a warm-up for her. Just let her have them to herself to blow off some steam. We just need to watch quietly." Simon’s eyes were fixed on Seraphina. ’She really has had special training!’

Genevieve’s initial worry had already transformed into pure admiration. Her eyes held only two words: ’Teach me! Teach me!’

After kicking the last man to the ground, Seraphina turned and walked slowly toward the one-eyed man. "Who hired you?"

"It’s the code of the streets. We can’t ever reveal a client’s information!"

Seraphina leaned forward, forcing the one-eyed man to take step after shuffling step backward. Looking at the smiling girl before him, an indescribable fear began to well up inside him. He couldn’t help but swallow hard several times.

"It was Miles Galloway, wasn’t it?" Seraphina’s bright eyes stared into his, her soft voice making it easy for one to let down their guard.

"Yes." The one-eyed man blurted it out, a conditioned reflex he didn’t even have to think about.

’Miles Galloway!’

’Fine!’

’Great!’

’Just perfect!’

’I haven’t even come for you yet, and you’re already coming after me!’

"Go back and tell him that if he wants to come after me, he should hire some competent people. Stop sending these bottom-of-the-barrel thugs. It only lowers the standards of the Galloway family patriarch." With that, Seraphina landed another kick on the one-eyed man, sending him flying.

The one-eyed man winced in pain, staring at Seraphina in terror, as if he were looking at some kind of monster. "You bitch! You just wait, this isn’t over! We’ll get you back for this!"
