He looked around.
He did not care too much about what was happening around him.
He just looked into one place and decided to go to the auction straight off.
He did not want to slack off or face another calamity creature or calamity demon.
He understood that if he faced another couple ones, he would die. He would not even survive if he tried.
This was the death that came his way.
He understood that death in this life would waste everything that he had done.
Although he had learned many things, he would still like to try and solve the calamity beforehand.
But fleeing for the next life was probably the best option here.
He understood that.
He knew that this was not weakness.
This was rather smart of him to think of.
He knew exactly that death was not the end for him, but it was the end for the entirety of the universe.
Although he did not truly care about that, he cared about one thing alone.
That thing was that he must survive.
He would try to his last breath.
Not for the people, not for anyone, but for himself.
He just wanted to live and suffer through everything that was chosen in this life.
He knew exactly that if he truly did not do everything correctly, he would die and he would be a waste of life.
The true power that he wanted to have, truth be said, was far, far away.
He moved across the city and normal grounds.
He looked around.
Cultivators were all around.
Even cultivators of the Nascent Soul realm would appear from time to time.
People moved to the sides in fear.
Some people looked at them with reverence, and some with hatred under their eyes.
He noticed everyone and everything.
This was the first time that he had looked at normal people in this life and thought about them correctly.
’What about the normal humans? What about the people? What would they think about a creature or an entity such as a cultivator of the Nascent Soul or even Soul Transformation?’
These entities were so powerful and so ridiculous that even thinking about them would put someone in danger.
Especially those monsters of the Soul Transformation realm.
They could topple down a little mountain range with a couple of swings of their fingers.
If they truly attacked seriously, they could erase an entire continent.
This was the true power of them.
And continents were not too small in this world.
They were just a couple of hundred million li at most, and so they were not too small.
But there were thousands of them.
Even those cultivators of the 10th realm would not even think about where exactly the end of this universe was.
This was not a universe that was made out of planets or sized space.
It was entirely made out of actual continents, even smaller ones and bigger ones.
There were hundreds of millions of trillions of continents out there, and no one had ever seen or visited some before.
This was truly the future.
This was truly the actual interesting thing about this universe.
’But what was a normal human in this world to do?’
He thought to himself.
He would have been a normal human if he did not choose the Heavenly Marrow as the very first item that he chose.
He understood that living as a human in this way would have been a truly horrific experience that he would not wish upon his worst enemies.
To understand that humans in this world were more like cattle.
They were just people to be used and be exploited.
Not truly given any eye or any look.
Not a second, not even a first look.
This was the truth.
This was the harsh truth that he understood from the very beginning.
He understood that knowing the truth about all of this would not change him even a bit.
But he would find something of interest, be it huge or small.
He would find something worthwhile.
He loved life and he searched for it.
Finally, he reached the auction house and he looked at the door.
It was large, huge, even almost three huge men at the top of each other horizontally.
It was more than six meters in height and it was large, too large even for a normal human to push it an inch.
Li Jiwen smiled and said, "Well, that looks interesting and promising."
Suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder trying to push him to the side.
With a sound that was not truly interested, the person said, "Move aside, coward."
He turned his head back and saw the person trying to move him.
It was a person that he knew exactly the identity of.
This was the young master of the Li family.
Coincidentally enough, he guessed.
He just looked at the young man who only had a cultivation of Foundation Establishment.
He released his Nascent Soul aura entirely.
The power made the kid kneel to his knees, blood trickling down his face and his orifices nonstop.
This was the power that had already made people tremble, let alone a kid that did not know the size of the heavens and earths.
He said, "Respect your elders, kid."
Then he entered the auction house without a second word.
He was used the powers of himself in the face of wicked and weak people.
This was the truth of the world of cultivation.
Only power meant anything at all...
