The young master took out a spirit transmitter and dialed his father, the patriarch of the Li family.

He said, "Father, your son has been wronged. Please avenge me, please bring me back my honor."

The father said without even calming his kid down, "What did you do this time?"

The young master said, "Father, there was a cultivator, an old monster of the Nascent Soul realm, and he attacked me and tried to cripple me. Father, please avenge me."

The father said in harsh words, "You are the stupid one that wanted to do something to a cultivator of the Nascent Soul realm. Are you fucking insane? I am a cultivator of the Nascent Soul realm late stage. If this cultivator cannot recognize you, it just says he is probably on the same level as me, or probably even in great perfection. It would be suicide to do so. Don’t be stupid, son. If you see him again, don’t harbor any emotions or any hatred. They can feel it, and they will act upon it. This is for you."

Then the father, before the son could actually say anything, closed the call.

The young master punched the ground and said, "I will take my revenge with my own hands. You will see, old man."

Li Jiwen did not even care about the kid outside cursing him and his father.

He did not care much, even one bit, to stop him or say anything.

He was just a small shrimp in a large sea, and he knew this exactly.

He entered the auction house and looked around.

There were hundreds or perhaps thousands of different cultivators, and none of them gave him a look because he concealed his own powers and his own aura and sealed them inside.

He looked at the people differently.

He did not even know a single person among them.

Most of them were in the Golden Core realm or Foundation Establishment.

So that probably meant every person that was in the Nascent Soul realm was probably having a room or a separate entrance to the room.

He moved to a corner and just sat.

He did not really care about the auction.

He only cared about the aftermath, how he would plunder most of the people that had anything of interest to him.

He closed his eyes and put his back on the wall behind him and just stayed that way for the next five minutes.

Suddenly he felt an aura approaching and finally opened his eyes.

It was a man of huge stature, and his aura was nothing less than that.

Li Jiwen could tell that this person was no ordinary cultivator of the Nascent Soul realm.

He probably was a great perfection.

The huge man came closer to him and said, "Hello there, fellow Taoist. I had a question. Could you answer me?"

Li Jiwen said, "I can answer it if it is within my grasp."

The man said. "Why do you conceal your aura this much?"

Li Jiwen just smiled and said, "Well, I don’t like to have too many people looking at me, don’t you think?"

"Ah, you’re shy," the man said.

Li Jiwen just took his own and said, "Well, not truly shy, but I don’t like people that put their nose in my business. You understand that exactly, right?"

The man laughed loudly and said, "You are an interesting fellow. Wish you good luck in the endeavor of cultivation."

The man then turned his back to Li Jiwen and went away.

No one gave them a second look.

No one knew Li Jiwen or the other man, but in the future they would know both of their names.

These were people of actual power and actual understanding that would shake and shape the entirety of the world.

Li Jiwen looked at the man’s back with interest, and he thought, ’Being able to actually read my aura is not a small thing. This is indeed someone of great power, and as well, great insight and great understanding of true power. This was the way to go for actual cultivators who wanted to reach something in their lives.’

Li Jiwen understood that.

He said under his breath, "Interesting, truly interesting," as a small smile appeared on his face.

He could feel something interesting about that man that he had never felt in this life before.

It was the aura of a person that would probably change history and change the universe of cultivation as a whole.

This was an aura of a person that truly was a literal giant in the here, a literal insanely powerful monster that could shake the heavens.

He understood that probably if he actually stayed on his good side, then he would have chances never thought of before.

That made Li Jiwen understand that truly fate in this life works in mysterious places and ways.

He smiled and closed his eyes again.
