The first step that Li Jiwen was now taking was indeed to actually use his own powers and refine that Changdu Space as much as possible.
If he could, he would like to refine it completely.
He knew that death could come at any moment.
Those who would actually come and fight him and who tried to kill him previously and catch him would come again.
He was sure of it, and he was actually too afraid to admit that he was afraid of death.
But he would certainly continue.
Over time and with death, if they came ever, he would actually come closer to death and die hundreds or thousands of times.
That feeling for someone who was still young, although too knowledgeable and experienced with the real world now, especially the world of cultivation, he knew that probably it was either his own abilities and his own deaths to enhance his own powers, or just die and get into some kind of depressive state.
To someone whose life had been not totally well in his normal world, and in this world that was much different than that, he knew that he had a chance to change everything and make things into his own hand and his own grip.
With the knowledge of that, Li Jiwen understood exactly why cultivators were so cold hearted.
Even those who would come out of actual life and death situations would still wish for life and hate death entirely.
He knew that this was a valid fear and a valid concern, not something that would be called a literal performance of primordial fear that he would call previously.
This was exactly why fear was so powerful.
He knew and he felt it was so viable in news and in actual experience.
He was so fearful of death, and he knew that death would come anyway.
Even if he was still alive after the calamity somehow, and then probably continued and nothing past it, he would still face this in the end, if he did not achieve complete and utter immortality in all aspects.
He knew that at some point the fear of death would come out and would disappear out of him.
He would see life and death as many things of use and trial and error more than actual ending events.
Li Jiwen emphasised and thought, ’Life and death, the actual rebirth and the actual connection between them, was something that still baffles me greatly.’
’If truly Samsara exists and I am within the Samsara but a closed Samsara, then what does anything mean?’
’Would it mean that I would actually die eventually? Did that mean that I would still die and would still actually be defeated by death at some point?’
’Though would I still be in this actual position and in this hell of mine? I guess we will never know until I actually die for the first time.’
’Somehow I am looking for it, and I do not even know how or why. I still fear death, but I am looking forward to it. Indeed, humans are complicated creatures of great contradiction.’
Li Jiwen, as someone who had read and wrote tons of novels, knew that his mindset was already long formed for the true world of cultivation and fantasy.
He was not too fearful or too prideful for this world.
He knew how to advance and how to retreat.
That was exactly why he was still alive until this moment in this new life and in this new world.
He himself had not the very best life, so he knew just how dark life could be.
The actual refinement of the space was still ongoing, and he still did not really achieve anything of great value until the moment.
He was still in the very first step, if he could say that even.
He knew that if he truly got back and made things faster, even a bit, that would be totally unwinnable.
He thought sorrowfully, ’So, you know, I guess life can be harsh, but we must be harsher, if we can, if we are going to be a little bit instead. Death and life, huh?’
He raised his eyes again.
An orb of orange and black spherical power of spiritual existence appeared in front of him, and he began to refine it again through his will and just through his own spiritual power.
He knew that this thing would not be refined quickly, and it would take due time.
But no matter how much time it took, he would still do it, no matter how much.
This was a viable thing to get back things through the life and death situations that he would face.
So it was the most important thing at the moment.
Even if he spent the next eight and a half years doing it until the calamity fell upon his head, then he would do it and he would not do anything other than that.
The actual resources that he had at the moment were so vast and so many that it would be a literal loss for him if he truly just let everything and went back in time at the moment or at any moment before doing so.
The weapons that he had at the moment could even be said to be worth more than a billion and a half spiritual stones of the middle grade.
He had almost a hundred weapons of the lower earth grade.
These alone would be sold for more than half a billion at least, even if he was selling them with some kind of lowball.
But he would not do so. He was not that stupid.
The time passed, and the Changdu Space did not even move in the slightest.
Finally, Li Jiwen opened his eyes and said, "Well, it should have been already starting to get refined by this morning. I am actually wondering what exactly is happening to this thing. Why the hell is it not actually doing anything or even reacting?"
"That’s weird."
This was the first time that he was using something really in this life, and he did not have an answer for even the catalogue and his knowledge of time-space.
They did not actually provide anything or how to refine it completely, even how to start refining it.
It only said to use his will and his soul power and soul energy to refine it and try and refine it in place.
But that was not viable.
He closed his eyes slightly and began to think.
Suddenly the Changdu space began to expand, and it engulfed him and swallowed him entirely.
This was something weird and unexpected to Li Jiwen that he did not even react at all.
He had the time to react, and he was entirely swallowed.
He disappeared from the entirety of the world, and his aura and his own existence in the heavenly Dao was erased at the moment.
The only thing that was in the room was the Changdu Space.
