Li Jiwen understood exactly why Fang Zun was such a literal giant of a character.

Fang Zun was indeed someone that needed to be stopped, but as well needed to be helped.

He understood that Fang Zun was the enemy and he could not actually make amends with him.

But it was probably better and best for his interest to use Fang Zun as a stepping stone and continue with his own matters as him, stealing another person’s identity and existence.

Fang Zun was probably the perfect candidate for that, and Li Jiwen understood that somehow and somewhere within his novels, although there were things like this, they were too pricey on him and his existence.

And it would affect him. So after thinking it much, he did not decide to do it and he stopped himself from thinking about the matter again at least in the meantime. He understood exactly that Fang Zun needed to be understood much greater.

And now, he looked at Fang Zun as he looked at the entities that were about the world outside. And he did not stop. Fang Zun was an enemy of his own. But as well a huge and giant man of a character.

He thought, ’This person, this man Fang Zun, is someone that is admirable. He is someone to look out for, but as well to look up to. Indeed a huge and giant character within this realm of cultivation and within any realm that he would be put in. A huge existence that is beyond all.’

Fang Zun sat on his own throne that was made out of air, and he closed his eyes. The man looked like a peaceful grandpa that was not too old, sitting there slowly amongst the darkness.

Hissing, slithering, tenebrous and evil sounds came out of the darkness, some with hatred, some with amazement, and some with literal reverence.

Fang Zun was a man that cannot be toppled.

This man was a human at his core, and probably the only person that Li Jiwen could truly feel close to, but as well so far.

From his time with Fang Zun, he understood that both of their lives were so vastly different.

Fang Zun was a mech suit operator in the army of the Eastern Imperium of Dragons.

As for Li Jiwen, he was a low life in the slums of a fifth grade city, his parents were not even alive by his fifth birthday, let alone having a family or a home.

Li Jiwen remembered the first time he was about to die.

He looked back at his memories. A knife thrust into his side by another orphan that was used as a beggar on the streets.

He remembered the feeling of metal, cold, metallic.

The feeling of blood pouring through the wound.

The air in his lungs escaping and his legs failing him.

The first time he truly killed another.

He remembered the last words of the other orphan, "Food, please, I am hungry. Do not kill me."

The soiled pants, the smell of blood, snot, shit, piss, and the occasional smell of smoke in the slums.

All these memories moved past his eyes as he felt indifferent to them now.

He thought, ’Life is the crucible and humans are the metal.’

He closed his eyes, easy and letting go of anything and everything.

Fang Zun in the meantime was reaching within himself, searching for the other system that he had gotten from Old Jing, and finally he reached it.

A little window appeared in front of his eyes. [Welcome host. This is an announcement. The ink system is now activated for the next five years.]

[Three abilities can be chosen from the ink gallery of Old Jing and no more.]

[And you have already used 100 billion of them. So there is now only 100,000 left. Would you like to use three?]

Fang Zun nodded and chose three of the ink pieces of Old Jing. Then in amazement, Li Jiwen looked at the three actual pieces of ink art as they looked so familiar to him that he was weirded by the matter.

They looked so familiar yet so far away.

Finally he looked and noticed the three of them were so different and so unlike each other to the point that he could not tell if they were actually made by the same person.

One was a tiger, crouching ready to attack. Its eyes dark and endless like that of an endless abyss. Its own fire fiery and unstoppable.

The other was a carp. It flew over the dragon gate, turning into a dragon mid-air. It looked so alive and the waters themselves looked as if they were moving.

The third was a little pig roaming a village that was destroyed.

Li Jiwen could not tell what exactly the meaning of these things were, and he could not tell what exactly these things even did.

He just looked at Fang Zun as he moved all three of them and said, "The crouching tiger of the East, the dragon fish, and the massacre of the old village. The most adorned pieces of Old Jing."

Thinking of Old Jing, Fang Zun smiled slightly. He was probably the most unfortunate person in this realm.

He was young but at the very same time experienced enough to give him a little shock when he killed him.

Even until this moment he still could not use the system entirely as he wanted. The system was still locked, unexpectedly, and it needed such great power just to get awakened and get used by him.

And the system and the way that he got the system from Old Jing was flawed in its own core. But at the very same time it was Old Jing’s will that had already turned the system almost against him and made it slightly unusable.

One to give power to all and every person across the multiverse that is me.

One to give power to only me and join them all within me.

The other one to cull them all and join them with me.

This time Fang Zun did not use them. He looked at the darkness and summoned a person.

It was the eldest existence within the abyss itself, and even older than the three serpent gods. This was the Old Turtle of the Western Heaven.

An old turtle appeared, huge and full of darkness, unlike the green and brown of normal ones.

It was old. It looked ancient. At the very same time huge to the point that the mind could never tell how exactly it got to that size.

Fang Zun looked around and he said, "Now, now, old friend. Take these."

Then he threw him three pieces and said, "Remember what you will do. You know what you must do."

The ancient turtle nodded to its sire and said, "Yes, master. Yes, my king. Yes, my sire."

Then it slowly went back into the darkness, slowly and ever so slightly quickly.

Fang Zun looked at this place and said, "Now every piece is in its place. Only that of the heavenly path is yet to come."

"Well, that child will not survive in the next life. Every piece is in its place and every existence is there." Then he closed his eyes again, staying on his own throne.

Darkness all engulfing, darkness all encompassing.

And he was there, like that sire, the emperor, the marauder of every existence within the abyss.
