Chapter 650: Ancient Savage Beast

Leo's eyes immediately sharpened the moment its name was displayed by the system.

After that, Tarun began to explain.

"It seems you have already caught on to it, but I will explain nonetheless. Yes, it's the beast core of an ancient savage beast personally hunted by me when it was threatening to destroy an inner city. And even after trying to convince it to change its path, it didn't, and I ended up killing it in a battle that lasted nearly two months years ago."

Tarun looked at Leo, who looked back.

"This was very much needed, Vice Principal Tarun. I cannot thank you enough. Even I was about to go and look for some ancient savage beasts to help Howl."

"Howl? Nice name you've given it. Anyways, this is your first reward from the information I gathered from Brant and Katherine. The second reward comes from information gathered from Gunther."

"A-alright..." Leo muttered as Tarun tossed him a spatial ring after storing away the massive beast core in the same, which Leo caught.

"That ring also contains treasures that boost your agility stat to a great degree. Gunther informed me that you lack in that department."

Leo raised his brow in surprise.

Turns out, the academy indeed offered personalized rewards based on an individual. A privilege of the high-ranking students. While training with Gunther, Leo hadn't been using the optional boost to his stats that he got from the traits of his beasts. In other words, his agility had indeed been low when observed by Gunther, and now came the rewards.

Tarun simply laughed and then retrieved another spatial ring before tossing it to Lily.

"That ring contains treasures that will greatly boost your stats equally across all the factors. Consume them with patience."

"Thank you very much, Vice Principal Tarun." Lily slightly bowed.

"That's not the only thing," Tarun said, but he didn't go to retrieve anything else.

"To be honest, I couldn't find anything suitable that might help you. So I ask you, what do you need? If it's acceptable, I will help in providing it."

Lily went into thought. At that time, Leo raised his hand to speak.

"May I ask for something for Lily that will help her?"

One creates a perfect beast structure, and other brings it to life. Don't tell me you even have ways to make them all loyal. Hahaha, that will be going too far I guess."

Tarun slapped his thighs in happiness. While Leo simply remained quiet, not allowing his mind to wander at Niri's new talent, or else Tarun might catch a wisp of it.

"Nice, good, great! So you want to use a Feathered Serpent's beast core to enhance the double-headed Infernal Serpent's beast core and then have the summoned Spirit Beast tamed by Lily." Tarun fell into contemplation.

"You know what? I know exactly what you need. And trust me when I say this, if this goes well, you might get two beasts out of one contract. HAHAHAHA, I haven't been this excited to see another person get stronger. It will be so interesting to watch." Tarun seemed to be cooking up tons of possibilities in his head.

"Alright! You will get your reward before the Inter-Academy Competition begins. But I want one thing from you both."

Both Leo and Lily listened intently.

"I want both of you to occupy the top ranks in the competition and have the Human Empire's name, along with Aurelius Beast Academy's name, echo through the other two Empires!"

"Two Empires??" both Leo and Lily asked simultaneously.

Tarun grinned.

"Oh, you people still don't know the reason the competition was delayed. For your information, Elven Empire Aeloria and Dragon Empire Sunborn are both participating in the Inter-Academy Competition!"
