"Hm?" Leo woke up in the middle of the night due to a system prompt.

Ding!

>Soulmate 'Lily's' soul servant 'Miho' has formed a Soulmate connection with individual 'Kaelion Von Arvonnon'.

Leo stared at the notification for a while, as if he had seen it wrong.

Even rubbing his eyes didn't change a thing.

"The fuck...?" Though he was pleasantly surprised by Miho and Kaelion's new soul connection, the troublesome part was much more apparent.

"Von... Arvonnon?" He paused again.

"Why does it sound familiar?"

Though Leo wanted to deny it with his whole being, the fact couldn't be changed. The title was the same as that of the Human Emperor, Louis Von Arvonnon.

"Fuuucccckkkkk..." Leo groaned loudly as if something disastrous had happened and rubbed his forehead in tension.

It was the same feeling he had gotten when Brant had first laid eyes on him.

Being an eyepiece of a superior.

"So much for not catching attention..." Leo muttered.

He had fumbled from the very beginning. Wanting to turn a son of the Emperor into his subordinate.

"Now that I think of it... Kaelion became soul-bonded with Miho... Miho is a soul servant of Lily... Lily is my soulmate... isn't he technically... my servant?" Leo felt another wave of headache forming. He was still half asleep as he muttered all of this.

When trying to sit upright, Leo realised Lily was snugly nestled in his arm, her face pressed against the side of his chest—sleeping peacefully while breathing soft, warm air over his chest through her slightly parted mouth.

"Tsk..." Leo clicked his tongue and simply threw the notification out of his sight. Then, he proceeded to bring Lily up so his face could snuggle against her neck, took a deep breath of her sweet fragrance, and drifted back to sleep while Lily brought her hands up to hold him close in her sleep.

He could worry about things in the morning; right now, he should focus on spending time with the most treasured thing in the world to him.

Meanwhile...

Miho softly pushed against Kaelion's chest, prompting him to reluctantly break the long kiss they had just shared. The sweet flavour of Miho's lips still lingered on his mouth.

Haah... Haah...

Miho gasped for breath while clutching Kaelion's shirt.

Kaelion proceeded to hug her, which made her stiffen momentarily before she melted into his arms, wrapping her arms around his back.

"Are you feeling good now?" Kaelion asked softly.

"Mhm..." Miho quietly responded.

Just a while ago, Miho had cried in front of Kaelion until her eyes had turned red and tears streamed down her cheeks, even drenching her top. It was due to her parents' deaths; she had been holding it in since the time they came back from Kendru, and when Kaelion finally comforted her, her suppressed emotions spilled out.

Kaelion waited for her to vent everything before finally moving in for a kiss, and now they found themselves in this situation.

With her senses returning and her sadness having spilled out, Miho finally came to realise what had happened. Her whole body started to heat up, and her face turned red, especially her ears; they seemed to have been burned by the redness that appeared on them.

But even then, her hold around Kaelion's body didn't loosen. Rather, she buried herself further into his chest while Kaelion adjusted his position to make things more comfortable for her.

Seeing those bright red ears, Kaelion couldn't help but grin and went ahead to pinch them.

"Ek!" Miho cutely yelped at the touch and looked up into his eyes with puffed-up cheeks. Her flustered, embarrassed face, mixed with mock anger, was a breathtaking sight.

"Now this is the face that I like."

Kaelion raised one hand as magic swirled around them and used the same hand to wipe across Miho's cheeks and eyelids, washing the tear marks away. All the while, Miho was turning redder and redder until she had no choice but to lower her head, unable to look up.

Kaelion patted her head.

"If you still want to cry, I am always here. So don't keep things to yourself, alright? I don't like seeing you the way you have been these last couple of days."

"I feel fine now... thank you," Miho spoke in a quiet voice, then clutched his shirt tighter behind his back while pressing her ears against his chest as if listening to his heartbeat.

This time, Kaelion's face took on a shade of red because his heart was racing like a wild horse.

Miho didn't comment on that and simply stayed there.

"I want..."

"Hm?" Kaelion couldn't hear her properly as she swallowed half of the words.

She took a deep breath and spoke again.

"I want to k-kiss again..." Then she panicked.

"O-only if you wan—mhff!"

Kaelion proceeded to lift her cheeks with one hand and kissed her lightly.

"You don't need to ask." Saying that, he kissed her once again, deeper this time.

Miho didn't even realise when her hands had clutched the back of Kaelion's head and dug into his hair to pull him closer, while Kaelion pushed her against the soft bed to make her lie on her back, stroking her waist and neck affectionately as he kissed her deeply.

"Nng~" Miho moaned against Kaelion's lips.

They both only took a few moments to breathe before kissing once again.

At some point, to Kaelion's surprise, it was Miho who started to lose herself. She flipped their positions to straddle him while she did whatever she wished with his face and neck.

"Mh!"

She only came back to her senses when her thighs hit something hard below. Steam seemed to rise through her face, and she planned to retreat.

But Kaelion clamped her in place while looking into her dreamy, disoriented eyes.

"Where are you going now? Don't tell me you're chickening out after coming this far," Kaelion said with a sly smile.

Miho's whole body shuddered with intense heat. Her mind was half hazy with arousal and half lost in wild thoughts.

"B-brother K... Please..." she muttered desperately.

"I think you'll need to change the way you address me from now on," Kaelion said with a chuckle before pulling her petite body into a tight hug that made Miho gasp.

But she didn't refute it nonetheless.
