"And why should I say that to you?" Leo said, turning towards him.
"If you are so interested, I am always ready to have a ranked match," Leo added with a smirk.
"N-no, thanks..." Aaron quietly sat down.
There was no way he was going to defeat Leo in his lifetime. Not to mention, he didn't had any plans to be the scapegoat to check what Leo would do to his challengers.
After that, Leo continued.
"So, anyways. This Vulcan Dragon emanated the strength of Mid 4-star, and the other two were Low 4-star."
As Leo explained, the room became silent. This was serious.
"I don't know what rank they hold in their academy... well, I don't even know what rank their academy belongs to or if they even belong to an academy. But what I do know is that they will be participating in the Inter-Academy Competition. I heard someone shouting about how he would settle the score there."
Saying that, Leo then proceeded to talk about their flame colour, how Vulcarion's looked more like normal flames while the other two had a red tint to them. He also described their dragon forms and the superior healing factor they possessed.
Hearing all that, the other top 10 students were left stunned.
"If that is true... then there's no way we can handle them..." Uraan said.
"From what I can see, only Leo, Leon, and Lily are capable... and the higher-ranking ones can only be dealt with by Leo..."
At that, Brant stroked his chin.
Currently, it's indeed only Leo from our academy who can go toe to toe with the top-ranking members of the Dragon Empire.
But... how long?
Brant thought.
He can handle 2... 4 at once... but what if more come?
His eyes naturally shifted to Lily.
If she succeeds in contracting the Infernal Serpent, she might be able to help him out... no, she might actually stand toe to toe with him... albeit a bit lower.
These two actually have a high chance to secure the first position... and if Tarun really finds that fire-breathing Wind Amphithere in time, it becomes even easier.
After that, Brant went ahead and engaged them in lighthearted talk to ease the pressure that had been created by all the previous discussions.
With that done, Brant took them to the final thing for today.
Weapon distribution.
"Many of you already have your desired weapons, but for those who don't and those who ended up destroying their weapons, the academy will provide you with the same according to your level."
"There's no worry if you already have a weapon. You can take extras. Because weapons are bound to break, having an extra can save the day. Remember, what you are getting now is the last thing that the academy will provide before the competition that will aid you in battles, so take as many as you can."
"Because once the competition starts, even if you are forced to fight bare-handed, nobody will step in. You are not allowed to buy anything. Just create what you can with your abilities and the items you gather from the wildlife."
At that, Lyra raised her hand.
"Professor..." She looked around, a bit shy.
"What about soap and water? I mean, we don't have anybody with the water element, and though we can get water in the wild, we cannot get soap to bathe?"
Brant shrugged.
"Nothing, just your weapons. Even your spatial rings are not allowed."
Then he turned towards Leo. To the others, he didn't speak anything, but he conveyed his thoughts telepathically.
Don't worry, Spiritual Space storages will be allowed, but the items that you can draw out and put in will be restricted to what you acquire in the competition.
"Damn..." Leo muttered.
Lily walked up to Lyra and patted her shoulder.
"Don't worry, I can use the water element. We will never be in trouble."
Lyra and Dhalia had been getting stressed, but Lily's words made their faces brighten.
Even the boys wanted to say something to Lily about how she should share some water, but they hesitated in case it came out with the wrong meaning.
"Don't worry, I can also use the water element."
"Haha, I knew it!" Uraan had already considered Leo an all-rounder sort of person, so Leo having the water element further proved his point.
"But professor, what if someone has spatial abilities?"
"Well, it's their ability. They should obviously get some advantages."
With that, Brant led the students to the Academy Arsenal.
"Choose your weapons and bring them here for me to examine, and remember to choose only what your capabilities can handle and carry. There are sections made according to the star level."
With that, Brant pushed open the large gates, and a strong smell of metal and rust hit everybody's noses.
Wherever their eyes landed, the large Arsenal was filled to the brim with various kinds of weapons.
Whatever sort of design that could be thought of and made was there. Some designs were so peculiar that people were left wondering who came up with them and who would even use them.
Leo also stopped at some unusually large weapons that couldn't be wielded by normal-sized humans. Almost as if they were made for giants.
Though he did notice that all the weapons didn't have any particular abilities to them, just plain, sturdy metal forged into the shape of the desired weapon.
In other words, there was no use in fretting over what he should choose.
But he contemplated for a while.
Though I have the highest proficiency in daggers... their reach is not that good. Maybe I should make a sword my main weapon for now and daggers as secondary.
Leo thought. With Patric's crash course on swordsmanship, Leo had already gotten the hang of it. And it wasn't like he was going to rely on weapons. His punches were the best weapons of all.
Still, he proceeded to walk to the 5-star weapon collection and started to browse through the swords and daggers.
Brant raised his brow at that.
"5-star? But he has the aura of some sitting at cusp of Peak 4-star at best... Maybe Gunther's deduction of Trait Copy is indeed true... this boosts his strength further, to the point that we are unable to sense it."
Back to Leo's location, he found only 3 items in the 5-star sword and dagger sections. It was almost as if the higher the weapon's rank, the fewer they became.
Because apparently, there were no weapons starting from 6-star.
And to Leo's surprise, the system reacted to the weapons.
