Shiingg!
Crack—Boom!
A boulder burst apart after being slashed through the middle, and when the debris and dust settled, Leo appeared, holding a sword.
"Damn, an aura-infused sword works pretty well," he muttered while checking if there was any damage to the sword. But the sword was spotless. Not to mention, even his aura flowed naturally into the sword as if it were an extension of his arm, making it sturdier.
In the back, even a sliced piece of infernal serpent hide could be seen, cleanly cut through. Leo was testing the sword's limits, and for now, it had passed with flying colours, capable of cutting through the hide of a Low 5-star being. And an infernal serpent could be said to have some of the toughest hides.
"Good, I think I won't need to fight bare-handed while fighting the dragons once again."
Saying that, he changed the grip of the sword, and the next second, the sword lit up in violet flames. He changed his grip again, and the violet flames changed into neon green flames—Netherblight Poison of Pryde. In other words, the mana flow was so excellent that the sword could be coated with any desired ability like his hands.
He was using the flame properties from Shyra's [Violet Hellbrand] skill and the poison properties of Pryde's Netherblight.
Unfortunately, he didn't have any subject to test the combination on. The last time he used it on the dragon—Vulcarion—the guy lost too soon to get any productive intel.
For the last one, he used his Solarflame to cover the sword in raging flames.
"Nice!"
Skreeee!
Leo looked up after that shout and spotted Agnivar flying with Thalvyr riding on him.
Crackle—
Suddenly, a lightning strike descended from the sky, aimed at Agnivar. Agnivar flipped to dodge the attack, and Kaelion's spirit Skyreaver suddenly came into view, heading straight at Agnivar.
The thunder disappeared after missing its target mid-air so as not to hit the territory.
At that moment, Thalvyr launched himself from the back of Agni and jumped directly onto Skyreaver, his spear already in motion as he attempted to puncture the spirit body.
Leo nodded in satisfaction. The training was going on perfectly.
"Papa, look!" Niri came from the side, but she wasn't floating like usual. Rather, she was sitting on the shoulder of a big beast.
It was a Cedar Treant, almost 5 meters tall.

"I successfully managed to use my skill and upgrade the level of my first servant!" Niri cheerfully informed him and hugged Leo by wrapping her arms around his waist.
Leo patted her head and looked at the treant.
"Good job. I am proud of you," Leo encouraged Niri.
Apparently, when Niri had first used the skill, a single treant had been summoned, and that too was just around 1 meter tall with Low 1-star strength. From that time onwards, Niri had been training hard to improve her skill level, and she even made the treant do some work. By now, it was already at the Peak 2-star stage.

Niri looked up.
"Papa, can I be as strong as you and Mama?" she asked cutely.
"Of course. If you keep working hard like this, one day you can surely become as strong as us, even stronger."
"Yay! Then I will train harder!" Saying that, she unsummoned the treant and floated toward the training grounds to experiment more.
"I wonder what other creatures will come out of that skill..." Leo muttered.
Where other people complained about not being able to find wood-element beasts, Niri could now summon them anytime she wanted.
In another place, Lily and Sylrael were sparring when Brant's Leviastorm Eagle suddenly appeared, approaching the territory at terrifying speed.
Brant unsummoned the beast mid-air and fell towards the territory in an arc, landing softly after manipulating the wind.
"Brat, let's go. Vice Principal Tarun has captured the beast. All you need to do is defeat it and have your girl tame the spirit that will emerge from its core."
"I need to defeat it?" Leo asked.
"Well, it will be a good experience, considering you don't have much experience fighting a big flying draconic beast," Brant said.
"And also call Kaelion and Lily. It will be a good fighting experience for them too."
Leo nodded and called both of them, after which they took off on the eagle.
While travelling, Brant turned towards Leo and Lily.
"It's not the feathered serpent that you had requested."
Leo raised his brow.
"Then?"
"It's an Amphithere. I don't know if you knew this, but feathered serpents don't usually breathe fire. Not to mention, every sighted feathered serpent is a revered deity of some strong tribe... Let's say it will be troublesome if we go behind them hunting the beast."
Leo nodded.
"I didn't know they didn't breathe fire..."
"Yes, so they are usually wind-, water-, and wood-related... and are known as regional agricultural deities. Though I don't know what your ability is, shouldn't the two things have some similarity for it to work?"
"Usually the same species if I want any bloodline improvement."
Brant thought about it for a while.
"But didn't you say something different about beast cores? Like not needing to be connected to each other?"
"Uh, yeah... But I want Lily to tame a flying creature. Then I would use the Infernal Serpent's beast core to even make something capable of flame-breathing."
"But if the original beast wasn't flame-breathing to begin with, it would still most probably acquire a fire-breathing skill if the species were the same," Leo said, recalling how Lily's Wind-Breath Hound acquired the black lightning skill from another similar species.
"But there's the mistake: no feathered serpent has been sighted with a fire-breathing ability. Meaning, if somehow one even managed to get the ability, it would be a progenitor beast, and since fire directly opposes the title of agricultural deity, it might be extremely difficult for it to advance to the next stages."
Brant explained.
"Almost like going against nature."
He continued.
"So Tarun opted to track an Amphithere. They are fire-breathing. Well, almost all elements, and the only difference they have is the membrane or leathery wings and scaly body in contrast to the feathered wings and feathered-covered body of the feathered serpents.
"And since we know the essence gets mixed when you use your talent, Tarun figured this particular one might be the best choice to make the best use of the two-headed Infernal Serpent's beast core."
Brant turned towards Lily.
"She might get the benefits of two beasts from one contract if our formulated theory from all the fusion-type talents we have come across is correct."
