"Oh, wait..." Leo muttered.
"What happened?" Tarun asked.
"I forgot to extract the beastcore from the Infernal Serpent's body..."
Leo then looked around and saw no suitable place to lay out the beast's body so it could be extracted.
Tarun simply instructed Leo to summon it mid-air, and the rest would be done by him.
Leo did so, and Tarun used telekinesis to lift the whole body into the air. Brant then went to look for the core to bring it out. Tarun's ice sword might damage the Infernal Serpent's hot meat, so Brant took the task.
Meanwhile, Kaelion was baffled.
"You hunted that thing?!"
Leo scratched the back of his head and went on to explain how he technically didn't hunt it, but rather avoided it until it died on its own. And when Kaelion asked why it would die automatically, he received another shock.
"How the fuck did you even acquire the pearl in the first place?"
But Brant had already extracted the almost 2-meter-wide beastcore, which seemed to be made of crusted magma, still furiously glowing hot through the gaps in its crust.
And so, Leo began the process.
"I wish you luck," Tarun said before retreating into the distance alongside the others.
The luck was for their theory about two beasts from 1 contract being successful.
With that, Leo activated his talent and willed the Infernal Serpent's core to fuse with the Wind Amphithere flying in front of them.
The 2-meter-wide beastcore turned into wispy streaks of pure fiery energy that seeped deep into the Amphithere's body, causing the beast's eyes to widen at the strange sensation.
"Hm?" Tarun narrowed his eyes when he noticed something in the Spirit Amphithere.
He snapped his fingers, and a few large mana crystals and soul crystals materialised beside him. He immediately turned them into digestible essences and proceeded to direct them into the Wind Amphithere just as the beastcore essence entered its body.
Leo noticed that, but his attention was on the system notifications appearing one after another.
Ding!
>Infernal Serpent's Beastcore successfully assimilated with the spirit beast, Wind Amphithere.
At that moment, the spirit beast's body began to shake violently as its pale bluish-white eyes slowly started glowing with violent red and orange fire. And with that came the bodily changes.
It seemed that because the Infernal Serpent's core was stronger, the resulting appearance was, overall, taking its form. Soon enough, all the white and blue scales transformed into black and orange scales.
The long, slick-back and pearly horns transformed into ruby-red horns, and in front of everybody, the part where the wings were attached started to expand.
Leo's eyes sharpened when he realised what was happening.
The Amphithere was generating another head like the Infernal Serpent!
Ding!
>A unique fusion has taken place due to the Infernal Serpent's core being stronger, and the physical structure of the Wind Amphithere is being altered.
>Note: The process was successful only because the beast's original structure was a spirit.
Ding!
>Wind Amphithere has transformed into Infernal Tempest Amphithere.
Ding!
>Energy requirements have been met to advance in ranks.
>Mid 4-star -> High 4-star -> Peak 4-star.
The new beast had two heads, each with a separate neck, both emerging from the point where the wings had expanded. Its body had also elongated from the original 100 meters to nearly 200 meters, and its 100-meter wingspan had expanded into a sky-covering 150-meter. The wings had a leathery or membranous design like a bat... colossal bat wings.
Its whole body looked as if it were made out of molten lava, while the dark, stormy wind covering its frame gave it a dangerous appearance.

>Due to some strange compatibility, a mutation has occurred in the original Wind Amphithere's [Tempest Phantom] skill.
[Tempest Phantom]:
-Summons an independent clone formed from pure wind. It possesses a portion of the user's combat ability, while its attacks unleash violent airwaves and its storm-like body allows it to evade physical attacks.
Ding!
>New, transformed skill created!
[Dual Aspect Manifestation]:
- The Infernal Tempest Amphithere separates its two heads from the main body, causing each head to manifest a complete serpentine spirit body. The original body disappears as its power divides between the two newly formed beasts.
The Infernal Aspect manifests as a molten spirit beast, wielding spiritual magma and infernal energy to overwhelm enemies with destructive attacks and powerful regeneration.
The Tempest Aspect manifests as a storm spirit beast, wielding pure wind and tempest energy. It can move at extreme speeds and unleash razor-sharp wind blades, hurricanes, and devastating pressure waves, while dispersing its body into violent winds to evade attacks.
Both beasts retain independent consciousness and can fight simultaneously.

Leo's eyes widened in surprise.
So this is what Vice Principal Tarun and Professor Brant meant! Leo exclaimed internally.
Two beasts in 1 contract... this was it.
Ding!

>Personal stats can only cross the 10,000 mark after the World Baptism!
Again, the same thing.
What is the World Baptism? Leo thought and tried asking the system the same thing. To his surprise, the system actually responded with something that seemed like information Leo shouldn't know.
>World Baptism is an event where the world acknowledges an individual's existence and grants them the right to continue advancing beyond the limits of mortal beings.
During the World Baptism, an individual must choose a World Core to which they will pledge their allegiance.
The chosen World Core will become the foundation of the individual's future advancement, granting them its recognition and allowing them to draw upon the authority of the world it represents.
Once an allegiance is established, it cannot be changed.
Until the World Baptism is completed, an individual's personal stats cannot surpass 10,000.
Leo was left floating in place as he read the system notification. He momentarily even forgot about the mystical creature that had taken birth in front of him, considering how serious this new information felt.
Pledge my allegiance... Damn...
Leo was in a dilemma now. One of his motivations to grow stronger was to never be under anyone, and somehow, if he needed to grow stronger, he needed to be under someone... even if it was the World itself.
