Chapter 83.Life that requires struggle-4Chapter 83: 83.Life that requires struggle-4
Mylo looked at the Bearash. His eyes were tired, but completely focused. He tensed every muscle in his body, held it for a beat, and then let go, relaxing his posture.
The wounds were still there, carved deep into his flesh. He could feel blood dripping from various parts of his body, but with his skill active, it was all bearable.
He exhaled slowly, raising his machete a fraction.
The next second, the Bearash broke into a full sprint. It brought its massive bone shield up for protection, its narrow, rod-like hand aimed directly at Mylo’s chest.
Mylo didn’t run. He just stood his ground. His hands gripped the weapons tightly.
The very next moment, the Bearash was right on top of him. Its sharp, bone hand plunged viciously toward Mylo’s face, but Mylo was already gone.
His body had dashed backward in the blink of an eye.
Tritia’s eyes went wide. "Huh?!"
Mylo swung his two-spiked antler, scraping away the dense outer layer of ash from the monster’s flank.
The Bearash whipped its shield around, blocking the incoming follow-up strike from the machete.
Instead of pulling back, Mylo pressed forward, taking two swift steps into the creature’s guard before driving his leg upward in a sharp kick. The jab connected squarely on the monster’s narrow hand, shoving the heavy beast backward off balance.
Mylo closed the gap between them in an instant. Sending a roundhouse kick against the shield, he slapped the heavy bone guard away, completely exposing the monster’s chest.
Yet Mylo didn’t aim for a fatal weakness just yet. His machete flashed forward, slashing straight across the beast’s torso.
A hoarse growl tore from the creature, but Mylo ignored it.
Reaching out, he slammed his palm onto the monster’s raised, narrow hand. Grunting with the effort, he swung his entire body and leapt high into the air, bringing his knee down hard against the Bearash’s skull.
For a second, Tritia couldn’t believe her eyes. She instinctively brought her hand to her mouth.
How... how is this possible?
Just minutes ago, she and Mylo were clinging to life against these exact beasts. But now, Mylo was dominating, no, completely playing with it.
Did he ascend? But I didn’t feel any sudden shift in his mana. Hmm? If he didn’t ascend, where did this sudden strength come from?
She could only watch in awe. Mylo was dancing around the creature, carving slashes across its body.
No blood poured out, only clouds of grey ash that filled the damp air.
He didn’t slow down for even a second, hacking away as if releasing an entire mountain of built-up frustration.
Tritia walked closer. All the fear had left her. Her bruised eyes reflected the chaotic scene in front of her.
No... this isn’t a fight. A faint smile touched her cracked lips. Mylo, you’re so much stronger now.
Despite his complete control over the fight, Mylo was panting, his breath ragged.
"I guess that’s enough, huff..," he muttered. "Let’s finish this!"
Sprinting forward, Mylo drove his machete straight through the beast’s leg, forcing it down onto its knees.
He spun in the air and delivered a brutal kick to its shield arm, the force cracking the limb right off its ashy body and sending it flying meters away.
Desperate, the Bearash tried to impale Mylo with its remaining narrow hand.
Mylo used his two-spiked antler to trap the limb, pinning it flush against the hard ground.
He felt no pushback from the once-terrifying monster. Bringing his heel down, he snapped the arm clean off, leaving the Bearash completely limbless.
With no way left for the beast to fight back, Mylo grabbed its hard head and plunged his machete deep into its navel. He twisted the blade and carved straight through the rest of its abdomen.
The Bearash collapsed into the mud, its massive frame dissolving entirely into a cloud of black ash.
’’Haah... Haah...!’’

Releasing a long, heavy breath, Mylo wiped the sweat from his forehead and turned back to Tritia.
She stood stunned just a few meters away, watching him. As their eyes met, Mylo flashed a wide smile and began walking toward her.
BOOM!
A massive cloud of dark earth exploded between them, instantly severing their line of sight.
Skre-tre-ret-rat-ret-rat-tet~
Through the thick fog, a massive silhouette emerged. The unsettling grinding of its dense bones echoed throughout the forest as its jaw snapped shut with a hollow, resonant click.
Mylo froze in his tracks, his heart hammering against his ribs before kicking his instincts back into gear.
Grinding his teeth, he raised his machete and antler, leveling them toward the fog.
"I had a feeling you wouldn’t let us go that easily," he roared into the haze. "You’re finally here, Barebone!"
The creature’s grinding joints suddenly went silent. Its heavy skull locked onto Mylo’s position.
On the other side of the impact, Tritia scrambled up from the dirt.
"Ah!" she gasped, brushing off the dark soil.
Skre-treee-raetttt!
A high-pitched screech tore through the air as the Barebone suddenly lunged to the side.
Oh no-it’s charging straight for Mylo!
Dropping to all fours, Tritia burst through the clearing smoke just as a deafening metal-on-bone clang rang out.
"Mylo!"
Mylo’s roar cut through the chaos as Tritia spotted him mid-air. He brought the antler down hard, deflecting a sweeping bone fang before landing heavily on his feet.

"I can fight you! I can take you!"
His hands were trembling, the machete in his right and the antler in his left vibrating from the sheer force of the impact.
Yet as Tritia skidded to his side, she saw no fear on his face.
His expression carried a broad, manic smile.
Without wasting a single second, Mylo lunged forward.
"Tritia, flank it! We attack from the sides! Target its legs and watch out for the tail!"
He ducked beneath a violent tail swipe, sliding low across the black soil.
Sweeping his machete upward, the steel struck the tip of the tail, only to ring out with a dull bite.
Damn it, its armor is too dense!
Scrambling directly beneath its underbelly, Mylo jammed his antler between its ribcage, trying to leverage and twist the bone free. But before he could pry it loose, the Barebone’s sheer momentum shifted, slamming him hard against the earth.
The monster surged past, almost appearing to glide through the air with terrifying fluid movement.
It’s too fast... Is its Agility too high?!
Gripping his partially splintered antler, Mylo scrambled to his feet to pursue it. But Tritia was already ahead of him, matching the monster’s blinding speed step for step.
She drove a heavy kick straight into its hind leg, sending the towering beast tumbling into the dirt.
Following up instantly, she slashed her claws across its exposed frame, but the strike only grazed the dense bone armor without leaving a mark.
Clicking her tongue in frustration, Tritia slipped between its legs, grabbed the monster with both hands, and used its own weight to hurl it across the clearing, dragging its frame through the mud.
Skreeeeeeettt!!
Mylo leapt into the air, landing square on top of the thrashing beast.
He scrambled up its exposed ribs like a ladder, digging his fingers in tight to keep from being thrown off.
Blish drain! Blish drain! Blish drain! Blish drain! Blish drain!
Reaching the base of its skull, he locked his hands around the monster’s spine and screamed at the top of his lungs:
"PLEASURE!"
