Abyss Tree Evolution: A Mission to Conquer the World

"Search everywhere. You must find him somewhere in this forest!" Several hundred knights equipped with silver armor spread out around a large blue forest, searching for someone!

"He’s hereee, hurry upppp, we found hiiim!" one of the soldiers shouted to call his companions, then raised his sword and pointed it toward a tall masked figure dressed in black from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. At his feet were more than ten corpses, while more than twenty people surrounded him, and behind him was a steep cliff that descended three hundred meters and ended in sharp rocks and a river filled with double-horned crocodiles.

And worst of all, this masked figure was severely injured, his clothes were torn, and there were numerous serious injuries and deep, scattered wounds all over his body!

At this point, as his hand became more numb and weaker, and every time he looked down at the extremely sharp pointed rocks, the masked figure felt more and more desperate. The voices in his mind grew louder and louder until they finally became understandable!

"Release me... release me... I... will save you... I... am the only one... capable... of saving you!" The voice came in broken, hurried fragments inside the masked figure’s mind, and he felt death closing in on him more and more with every passing second as his hand slipped further from the tree branch!

But before the masked figure could respond to that voice, a cheerful and mocking voice came from behind him!

"The Friendly Thief, the most famous thief in the history of our kingdom. You stole from the nobles without harming the commoners, then went around distributing that wealth among filthy commoners like yourself. But your greed did not end there. You actually dared to think about stealing from the royal family while being nothing more than a lowly Level Three, so how unfortunate is the state you have ended up in!" The Level Four commander extended his hand, removed the masked figure’s mask, and furrowed his brow in contempt and disgust!

"Just as I expected, you’re nothing more than some damned commoner of unknown identity and lineage!"

The thief had a handsome, pale face that looked like that of a fifteen-year-old teenager, with pitch-black eyes that swallowed light like the Abyss, and pitch-black hair that resembled the darkness of the deep void!

The commander searched the thief’s body and smiled after finding his spatial bag. After thoroughly searching it, he found the box he wanted and discovered that the king’s seal was still on it and that it had not been opened yet. He then returned the box to the spatial bag, put it in his pocket, looked toward the thief, drew his sword, and smiled at him!

"Now, say goodbye to your miserable life!"

The commander swung his sword and severed the thief’s hand at the wrist, looking at him coldly as he fell!

The thief stared at the commander in shock as he fell, and he did not come to his senses until one of the sharp rocks pierced through his abdomen and pinned him against the rock. The double-horned crocodiles gathered beneath the long rock and began striking it forcefully in an attempt to make it fall and take their prey down with it!

The thief’s eyes gradually began to close, and he finally surrendered to this ending, muttering in a mocking voice before finally losing consciousness. "What a miserable ending for a thief whose name spread across two worlds!"

The consciousness of The Friendly Thief appeared in a strange world where there was no sound and no sensation. He could not see any space, nor could he feel the flow of any stable time. Everything here was chaotic, as if he existed in a place and nowhere at the same time!

"Who are you!" The thief wanted to retreat, but he could not move because of the strange laws of this place!

"Don’t worry, I am you. I know everything about us from the day we were born until this day. In addition, I know that you came from another world and why you were stealing," the prisoner inside the sphere hurriedly explained his situation to the thief. "You could say that I am another side of you that only awakens during times of crisis!"
