"You could say that I am another side of you that only awakens during times of crisis!"

The thief narrowed his eyes upon hearing this and looked toward the prisoner cautiously. "And how am I supposed to believe you when I don’t know you? What if you want to harm me or take over my body instead of saving me!"

"Really? Is this the time for such questions! Let’s assume I want to harm you or take over the body instead of you. Wouldn’t that still be a thousand times better than those damned crocodiles tearing us apart until nothing remains of our bodies!" The prisoner shouted in an even more hurried tone and continued...

"Even if I take over the body, you will still remain alive and have a chance in the future to regain control of your body again. Not to mention that I can’t remain outside this sphere for long because I am not the original consciousness of the body, you are! You were born with this body, not me, and the body will reject me if I remain inside it for too long, just as this domain of mine rejects you with every passing moment. It will expel you from here if you remain here for too long!"

The thief looked at the prisoner with furrowed brows as thoughts clashed inside his mind, and he did not know whether to believe this strange person or not. On one hand, some of what he said was true. This world really was rejecting his existence with every passing moment, and he could actually feel it!

On the other hand, there was something extremely suspicious about this prisoner!

The thief was severely lacking information, but the most important thing the prisoner had said, and the thing the thief believed more than anything else, was that no matter what his fate would be after the prisoner took over the body, it would still be a thousand times better than becoming a meal for those filthy crocodiles!

"Hurry up and decide what you want to do before we end up in the belly of one of those crocodiles!" The prisoner shouted anxiously as he sensed a giant crocodile approaching the pointed rock and began ramming into it, wanting to make it fall!

"How the hell do I free you!" the thief shouted angrily after finally losing his patience and making his decision.

"Focus all your attention on these chains and destroy them!" The prisoner pointed toward the black chains and gave him his instructions!

The thief focused intensely on the chains and paid no attention to anything else until the chains began to crack and eventually exploded into a cluster of black shards of light before disappearing!

The white sphere gradually faded away, and the colorless symbols receded into the prisoner’s body, soon causing the prisoner’s body to appear clearly!

He looked exactly like the thief from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. If the two of them stood facing each other, anyone who saw them would think they were reflections in a mirror!

"Thank you for freeing me. I will make sure to repay this debt!" The prisoner smiled at the thief and bowed gratefully.

"There’s no need for that. What’s important now is that we survive first, but how..." The thief waved his finger with great difficulty in this place and spoke hurriedly, but before he could finish his words, he saw the prisoner raise his hand toward him, and a strange, hypocritical smile appeared on his face!

"No need for you to know how I will survive. You can rest now, you damned parasite."

As soon as he said this, a strange light began wrapping around the thief, and the white sphere soon appeared around him. The black chains appeared and restrained him instead of the prisoner. He was the prisoner now!

"I knew you would pull some shit like this!" The thief’s expression immediately changed for the worse as he looked toward the prisoner, or the one who had been the prisoner!

"Alright, what happens next? Will you save our body and leave me here in this damned place indefinitely, while you take your freedom and I rot here, or what?" The thief raised an eyebrow and asked sarcastically and angrily!

"Well, man, I have been trapped here for fifteen years while you were fooling around outside. I almost went insane staying here, or perhaps I have already gone insane and don’t even know it!" The prisoner shrugged sarcastically and looked toward the thief. "So don’t complain too much about this!"

Then he smiled and waved his finger left and right toward the thief. "But don’t worry, I won’t imprison you. I’m not cruel enough to make you experience the loneliness and insanity I felt throughout the fifteen years I spent imprisoned here, so..."

The prisoner raised his hand toward the thief again and said in a cold voice, "Say goodbye to this life, because you were never real in the first place!"

As soon as he said this, the sphere, the chains, and the thief began to fade away like a burning sheet of paper, disappearing into the air. As he faded away, the thief looked toward the prisoner in shock and disbelief, cursing himself for believing this bastard!

As soon as the thief disappeared, this strange world began shaking and trembling as if it were on the verge of destruction!

The prisoner looked at it for a moment and felt that he would miss this place, but he quickly slapped himself. "Damn you, bastard, wake up. What the hell is there to miss!"

Then he looked at his fists, clenched them, and smiled foolishly. "That bastard was controlling a body that possessed an Immortal-rank Mutated Bloodline — Void Shattering Bloodline, and he didn’t even know how to use it. What a waste!"

The prisoner shook his head regretfully, then smiled.

"But no problem, I’m here now!"

While the prisoner was happily occupied with regaining his body, the giant crocodile struck the pointed rock with tremendous force, causing it to break in the middle and fall toward the river!

The crocodiles moved aside to let the rock fall into the water and stared greedily at the thief’s corpse, while above them, the commander floated with a smile, waiting to see the crocodiles tear the thief’s body apart!

Soon, the rock fell into the water, and dozens of crocodiles lunged toward it. After several moments, the water turned red with blood, and the commander’s smile grew wider upon seeing this.

After waiting for several more minutes and making absolutely sure of the thief’s death, he flew into the sky and retreated!

"Come on, knights. Pack your belongings and collect the bodies of your brothers so we can give them a proper burial in the kingdom and let their souls and bodies rest. That damned thief is finally finished!" The commander stood before his knights and informed them of the good news!

"Is he really dead, Commander?" One of the knights approached the commander and asked doubtfully!

"Yes. The crocodiles tore his body apart, and he’ll become damned shit soon enough!"
