Chapter 568: Chapter 567: Saintess

It wasn’t until the next day that Rasel returned. However, her new appearance left everyone wondering if their memories had failed them.

She was dressed in the unique attire that only the Ancestor wore, showing the tremendous authority she now possessed. But the most striking feature was the emerald-green tattoos that covered her entire body, each emitting a soft green glow.

They didn’t look ugly.

In fact, they were the complete opposite.

There was an indescribable beauty to them, not to mention the sacred presence they carried.

At this moment, Rasel was back in the main hall. Only this time, she sat on the highest seat while everyone else sat below her. Food and drinks were laid out before them.

This time, Keith and Kiro were allowed to enter as well, especially after everyone learned they were Leon’s personal guards.

Even without anyone telling them, they could feel that Rasel’s position within the family had completely changed.

They themselves had also been given a huge amount of resources. If they digested them over the following days, they would at the very least advance by one realm.

"We greet the Saintess," the elders and the family head said in unison.

Keith couldn’t help but be stunned as he watched the long line of old men bow respectfully toward Rasel.

"Leon," Rasel called.

She merely nodded as she spoke, her voice calm and carrying a faint sense of authority that made people want to listen to every single word she said.

"Yes, Saintess," Leon replied.

"Thank you once again. We couldn’t have done this without your help," Rasel said.

"My pleasure, little sis," Leon replied before sitting down.

The next instant, Rasel’s aura flared.

For a brief moment, even the Ancestor deep within the Molak Family’s secret realm was startled.

"Quite interesting... so this is the power of a pure bloodline?" he muttered with a smile.

Meanwhile, Devon, Kiro, Keith, and everyone else gulped.

That aura was terrifying.

At that moment, they felt as though a terrifying entity had cast its gaze upon them, locking their bodies in place.

"Something is definitely happening that we know nothing about. But it stands to reason that whatever their plan is, it made the hooded figure target the throne of the Ynvashi Kingdom," Rasel paused.

"I will need to send envoys to the neutral forces with the Recording Stone as evidence and have them join us. Also, the spies we’ve placed within those organizations should be activated and ordered to report back so we can get an idea of what exactly is happening, or at the very least, a rough outline of their plans."

"Then..."

"We prepare for war."

Rasel finished as everyone felt their hearts skip a beat.

Ever since Rasel had come out, she had been told everything about the Molak Family and the other major forces.

She now understood their strengths, their weaknesses, and just how dire the situation would become if events unfolded the way Leon had predicted.

The Ynvashi Kingdom, as the strongest mortal kingdom, possessed immense influence and authority.

Under no circumstances could it be allowed to fall.

After that, they discussed a few more topics, but everything ended with everyone congratulating Rasel.

By the time night fell, the Molak Family had already begun moving.

The geniuses had all been summoned, more resources were allocated to them, and a new order was issued throughout the family.

As long as you broke through or became stronger, even more resources would be allocated to you.

The entire family entered a cultivation frenzy.

Of course, everyone knew something was happening.

But they believed they would be informed when the time came.

---

At this moment, inside Keith’s room, while he was cultivating using the Molak Family’s special cultivation manual, something unexpected happened.

All of a sudden, his blood began flowing backward, as though it were trying to escape through his skin, causing him to almost become a mummified corpse.

"Huff... huff..."

Keith panted heavily as he desperately struggled to draw his blood back into his body. Beads of cold sweat rolled down his forehead.

His hands trembled.

His face was filled with horror.

Badum!

Badum!

His heartbeat pounded violently as a thunderous sound rumbled inside his ears.

He watched as his skin began glowing crimson before tiny scales started emerging one after another.

Dark obsidian in color.

Soon, Keith’s entire body was covered in them as that terrifying form appeared once again.

Keith felt himself losing consciousness.

He desperately struggled to stay awake.

To remain sane.

But his throat felt as dry as an arid desert as a thirst unlike anything he had ever experienced overwhelmed him.

And it wasn’t a thirst for water.

Nor was it a thirst for blood.

It was a thirst for death.

He wanted to kill someone.

A grin slowly spread across his face as the last strand of Keith’s sanity vanished.

A new Keith was born.

A figure resembling a demon appeared, though it was still incomplete, with parts of Keith’s face remaining human.

The new Keith slowly rose to his feet as the temperature inside the room spiked.

Keith walked toward the window and gazed into the distance, beyond the Molak Family’s hidden space.

His eyes locked onto Molak City.

He licked his lips as he moved.

***********

Elsewhere...

"His awakening is quite interesting, don’t you think?" a soft female voice was heard as Leo rolled his eyes.

"You would say that, but isn’t that common? I mean, someone with the Demon Bloodline would awaken like that," Leo said matter-of-factly as she shook her head.

"Do you actually hate him?" the female, covered from head to toe in a dark hooded cloak, couldn’t help but ask.

Her magnetic voice was like heavenly notes dancing in the air, while her exposed skin was as smooth as silk.

"No," Leo replied almost instantly.

"Then what? Are you jealous of him? Do you realize he will be the future leader of our organization? He is the prophesied Son of Darkness who will lead us, the oppressed, into a new world," she couldn’t help but say.

The man leaned against the house. Both of them were currently in the backyard of a small house near the exit of Molak City.

"That is exactly it."

"Why him? Why not someone else? All because he has the Demon Bloodline? Please..." Leo couldn’t help but say.

"Leo... this is bad. Don’t let the higher-ups hear you," the female said with concern.

"Tch, Shiera... let them hear."

"This just doesn’t make sense."

"I mean, look at him."

"He can’t even control his bloodline."

"And what about his strength?"

"With everything happening in the Mortal Realm, he would be cannon fodder," Leo paused as he gritted his teeth.

"Not to mention what will happen in the Upper Realm and the coming changes."

"When the One... the Son of Destiny... finally rises, is this the person we’re supposed to rely on?"

"A weak Rank 0 being who can’t even control his own form," Leo finished as Shiera let out a sigh.

"I’ll go stop him before he does something stupid," Shiera said.

"Yeah... good luck," Leo replied, not interested in joining.

Shiera disappeared and reappeared midair behind the new Keith as he leaped toward the Molak Family.

Then, with a gentle chop to the back of his neck, Keith lost consciousness and fell from the sky.

Shiera caught him effortlessly as she stood in the air as though solid ground had suddenly formed beneath her feet.

She looked at Keith, who had already reverted to his normal human form, with pity.

"More of this will happen."

"You awakened far too late."

"Even with how terrible things were..."

"Were you just unlucky, or were you simply not talented enough to awaken your demon form when you were still a child?" Shiera said.

Then she appeared inside Keith’s room and laid him down.

"The organization has high hopes for you."

"Don’t let us down," Shiera said before vanishing, leaving Keith sleeping peacefully.
