After Earth Fell: I Became Humanity's Strongest Mecha Soldier
Chapter 60: SupernovaK’s ’’quarters’ reeked of stale metal and moulins. The bed was thin with it’s iron frame rotten and near collapse, in the dark corner of the room sat a splash of what he assumed was blood that didn’t look like it would come off anytime soon.
"Fuck it."
He kicked the iron frame and it finally gave way, collapsing in a flat heap next to his feet.

The interface had popped up and refused to leave his vision ever since he had been thrown into this place. He couldn’t tell the time or day it currently was only the timer of the quest served as his reminder of impending doom.
"Shit!"
He kicked at the bars.
The metal groaned and gave way.
"Eh?"
Now that he looked closely at it, the bars didn’t look... normal. It looked more like it had been bent sideways to let something in and was roughly bent back to its normal shape.
Now the metal was weak and easily folded under the right force.
K didn’t waste a second.
Both hands grabbed each bar and pulled.
Just as he had calculated, the metal gave way easily. He squeezed himself through it.
"I’m hungry... when is my shift going to be over?"
"By the first moon set."
"Ugh, I can’t wait. Wife is making delicious bone broth."
"Really? Can we come have some?"
"No!"
"Penis sucker!"
"Heh."
K punched a compartment in his leg armor, the area hissed and opened, exposing a Wasp. Another one from the one he had stolen from Lex.
Now he had two.
"Get yourself wife... you will be happy and not hungry. Trust."
"Wife sounds like stress."
"Wife is no stress if you act right."
"Rea—"
The large doors burst open.
The Oroths stationed outside sprang into action but before they could signify the threat, bright blue holes burned through their heads.
Porcelain bodies and silver blood littered the ground.
K reloaded the gun and marched up the way he remembered being led through to come here.
The corridors were empty which was weird but he pressed on, careful to lodge himself between cracks in the walls when he heard someone approaching. The corridor stretched on for longer than he remembered.
Did he bend a wrong corner?
He retraced his step and it led him back to where the dead Oroths were.
"What the fuck?"
He set out again, this time marking the walls in case he misssed another turn.
"That wouldn’t help you."
K turned back but no one stood in the corridor except him.
Hearing things now?
He continued walking.
"Why do you seek him?"
He stopped again, both hands up with a Wasp in each pointed at the air.
"You are quite strong, killing all my men... impressive too."
He finally knew who it was.
Tuk.
He just couldn’t see him yet.
"Come out."
"I’d like to see you fool around a bit more, allow me that satisfaction. Would you?"
"I’m not here to fuck around with you..."
A brief pause.
"Fine."
The wall behind him warbled and a large, cool body pressed against his back.
K’s eyes widened.
The temperature around him dropped.
He didn’t hesitate.
Both Wasps fired.
Tuk vanished.
The blue shots tore through the space where his head had been a moment earlier and struck the wall behind him, leaving two smoking holes in the ceramic.
K spun.
Nothing.
Then an invisible weight hit him, his knees slammed into the floor. The impact cracked the ceramic beneath his boots.
"What the—"
His entire body suddenly became impossibly heavy.
K gritted his teeth and forced one hand against the floor. His armor groaned around him as he tried to lift himself, every joint protesting beneath the invisible pressure.
A slow set of footsteps approached.
Tuk emerged from another wall.
The enormous U’Kan stood completely still, his faceless porcelain head angled toward K. More than a dozen rings glowed faintly around his body, some hovering around his arms and shoulders like pieces of a mechanical halo.
"You humans rely far too much on machinery... I do think they are impressive. Anything made by my beloved is impressive."
K’s fingers tightened around the Wasp.
"Works pretty well to me."
He fired.
Tuk raised a hand.
The bullets stopped.
They hung in the air between them.
The plasma rounds slowly rotated before dropping and melting into the floor.
Tuk tilted his head.
"Again."
K’s expression hardened.
He fired both weapons at once.
Tuk’s hand moved again.
The corridor distorted and the bullets veered sharply sideways and embedded themselves into the walls.
K pushed himself upward.
The gravity intensified.
His helmet nearly struck the floor again.
"Stay down, worthless mutt."
"Fuck you."
K activated the boosters in his boots. The sudden burst of propulsion tore him free of the floor.
He shot upward, twisted through the air, and slammed both boots into Tuk’s chest.
The U’Kan moved backward.
Only one step.
K landed and immediately fired another burst.
Tuk swept his hand sideways.
K was thrown across the corridor.
His armored body smashed into the wall hard enough to dent the metal plating across his shoulder.
He dropped.
Tuk approached.
K rolled just in time to block an incoming strike.
A massive fist struck the wall where his head had been. The ceramic exploded outward, debris and sharp tiles splashing against his visor.
K came up beneath Tuk’s arm and drove his fist into the U’Kan’s ribs.
CRACK.
Tuk barely staggered.
K followed with another strike.
Then another.
His reinforced gauntlet hammered against Tuk’s porcelain plating, each impact sending sharp echoes through the empty corridor.
Tuk growled and finally caught his wrist. K tried to pull away but he couldn’t. With each tug the U’Kan’s grip tightened.
K’s boots slowly lifted from the floor.
"Strong," Tuk said.
K kicked him hard in the chest forcing Tuk to release him.
K landed awkwardly and immediately charged.
Tuk’s rings flashed.
K froze.
Not by choice.
His entire body was suspended in midair. His arms frozen in his running motion. His legs hung uselessly beneath him.
"What did you—"
Tuk closed his fist.
The gravity around K increased.
His armor began to creak.
Warning symbols flooded his vision.
K grunted and fought against the invisible force.
Tuk walked toward him.
"You killed my soldiers."
"You said it was impressive."
"Fair point... fine, you entered my home planet."
"Your people have done that countless times and... you kidnapped Thira."
Tuk stopped.
The rings around his body brightened.
"You speak his name very freely."
K glared through his cracked helmet.
"I crossed half the galaxy for him."
"And you believe that gives you the right to take him?"
"It gives me every right to get him back."
Tuk raised his hand.
K was hurled sideways.
He struck the floor, rolled, and tore himself upright before the gravity could pin him again.
His Wasp was gone. Shattered and crackling with its energy.
He reached for the second but Tuk appeared directly in front of him. K barely raised his arm before Tuk struck.
The blow sent him skidding down the corridor. His armor scraped violently against the ceramic.
He manage to stop himself with one hand.
Then he heard something.
A faint dragging noise.
K looked past Tuk.
At the far end of the corridor stood Thira.
He was barely upright.
One hand clutched the wall.
His other arm was wrapped protectively around his stomach.
His porcelain body trembled with every step.
"...Khae’el?"
K’s eyes widened.
"Thira."
Tuk slowly turned his head.
Thira’s gaze moved between them.
His breathing became uneven.
"Tuk..."
The Emperor’s posture changed.
K pushed himself upright.
"Thira, stay back."
Thira took another step.
"I heard... leave K. You have to go!"
Tuk moved.
K charged.
The two collided.
K drove his shoulder into Tuk’s chest and forced him backward.
For a moment, the U’Kan actually stumbled.
K swung.
Tuk caught the punch.
Their faces inches apart.
K’s blue eyes burned through his visor.
"Get away from him."
Tuk’s rings ignited and the corridor shook.
K’s feet left the ground.
His body was dragged upward as gravity seized him from every direction.
"NO!"
Thira limped forward.
"Khae’el!"
Tuk tightened his fist.
K’s body snapped backward against the invisible force.
His armor fractured.
He tried to reach for Thira.
His hand stretching uselessly through the air.
"Thira, I’ll save you!"
Thira froze.
Tuk looked at the Miwa.
"Isn’t this a little familiar, Vae’Thira?"
Thira’s trembling worsened.
"T-Thira..."
Tuk raised his other hand.
The gravity around K compressed violently.
His helmet cracked and a final surge of force tore it away.
Thira’s eyes widened.
"No! Tuk! Stop! Please!"
Tuk lowered his hand. K dropped heavily to the floor, gasping for air."
Thira stared.
For several seconds, he couldn’t move.
Then he stumbled forward.
"K..."
Tuk stepped between them.
Thira stopped.
The Emperor looked down at the fallen human.
Then back at Thira.
"I made a promise, didn’t I?"
Thira’s voice barely escaped him.
"What did you do?"
Tuk said nothing.
Thira looked past him.
At K.
His body trembled.
"No..."
He sank against the wall.
Tuk approached his body slowly.
Thira looked up at the towering U’Kan, fear overtaking his face.
"Tuk..."
The Emperor reached down and lifted K by his head. The Matyr’s body dangled uselessly in his hold.
"Look very closely, Vae’Thira."
He held the man’s neck and began to pull.
