Age of Wizards: I Can Analyze All Things
Chapter 378 - 203: Clearance RewardChapter 378: Chapter 203: Clearance Reward
Pei Ze won!
Watching Pei Ze on the screen, many Wizards looked dazed, still unable to process what had just happened.
Before today, no one had ever imagined that the winner of the Battle of the Holy Ring would be an ’ordinary’ Wizard.
The Chosen, long considered the most outstanding of the Star Realm Alliance’s younger generation, had been overshadowed. It was something no one had expected.
Even the Elemental Mages from the major Wizard Cities were silent for a moment, their expressions unreadable.
"Pei Ze won!"
Gu Yi muttered, his face filled with irrepressible shock and disbelief.
Before the Battle of the Holy Ring began, he wouldn’t have believed Pei Ze could take first place even if you cracked his head open. It felt as absurd as a dream.
Mo Weng’s eyes, meanwhile, were filled with relief and admiration.
His disciple had, once again, managed to surprise him.
"Congratulations, Mo Weng."
"Chenxi City has really hit the jackpot this time."
"Mo Weng, you certainly kept him well hidden. Are you sure that young man, Pei Ze, isn’t one of the Chosen?"
Over a dozen Elemental Mages gathered around. On the surface, they were congratulating Mo Weng, but in reality, they were trying to dig up information on Pei Ze.
Mo Weng responded with a smile, but he calmly deflected all inquiries about Pei Ze.
He knew perfectly well that when the other Wizard Cities first learned Chenxi City was sending an ’ordinary’ Wizard to the Battle of the Holy Ring, many of them had secretly mocked Chenxi City for being weak and in decline, unable to even find a Chosen of the right age.
Now that Pei Ze had won, they were running over to pry for information. Did they really think he was a pushover?
Mo Weng sneered inwardly. ’They’re definitely up to no good, probably planning to poach Pei Ze for their own Wizard Cities.’
It wouldn’t be the first time something like this had happened; it had even led to wars between Wizard Cities in the past.
And if even the Chosen had been successfully lured away, an ’ordinary’ Wizard with no strong ties would be even easier prey—at least, that’s what many of them surely thought.
Mo Weng had no intention of giving these vultures an opportunity.
...
Pei Ze was unaware of the undercurrents his victory had stirred up outside.
After defeating Wen Huachun, a milky-white pillar of light descended from the sky, enveloping him.
Pei Ze saw a flash of light, and when he came to his senses, he was in a spacious room.
The room was about two or three hundred square meters, constructed entirely from an unknown silver metal. The floor, ceiling, and walls were all covered in a dense, irregular network of intersecting crevices, giving it a futuristic, high-tech feel.
’So this is the fifth floor of the Tower of the Holy Ring?’
Pei Ze thought to himself, scanning his surroundings.
Just then, about ten meters away, light and shadow flickered on the metal floor, and a blurry, silver, humanoid silhouette materialized out of thin air.
"Welcome to the Tower of the Holy Ring, young Wizard."
A gentle voice suddenly rang out, tinged with a faint, almost imperceptible monotony, as if it were mechanical.
"Who are you?" Pei Ze asked curiously.
"I am Tower Spirit Commander No. 1 of the Tower of the Holy Ring."
A Tower Spirit Commander!
Pei Ze’s expression shifted.
Generally, every Wizard Tower has at least one Tower Spirit construct responsible for its integrated operations, handling tasks like terminal computation, data logging, combat command, and assisting with experiments.
A Tower Spirit Commander was a higher-level Tower Spirit than a regular construct. They possessed greater intelligence and capabilities and were typically used as the core intelligence for operating a Floating City.
To use a Tower Spirit Commander just to maintain a single floor of the tower—and judging by the designation "No. 1," there was likely more than one—meant the Wizard who originally built the Tower of the Holy Ring must have been an exceptionally powerful being.
"First, congratulations on passing the trials of the Tower of the Holy Ring. In accordance with this tower’s highest rule, you will now receive your completion reward."
Pei Ze’s eyes lit up. ’There’s a completion reward?’
"What is the reward?" Pei Ze asked.
The Tower Spirit Commander raised its palm, from which a beam of white light shot out and scanned Pei Ze from head to toe.
"Scan complete. Target’s Spiritual Power is at the Third-Grade Crystallization level. Physical constitution is at the Seventh-Tier Legendary level. Has mastered the Heart of Thunder Element. Subject meets the criteria for Reward Standard No. 18. Dispensing reward now."
As the Tower Spirit Commander finished speaking, a section of the floor in front of Pei Ze opened with a low hum. Three rectangular metal pillars slowly rose, each topped with an item.
Pei Ze’s gaze swept over them. On the far right was a round Crystal Stone, about the size of a longan fruit. It was crystal clear and dotted with specks of starlight, as magnificent as a Star River. Staring at it for too long created the illusion that one’s very soul was being pulled inside.
In the middle was a potion. The transparent, thumb-sized vial contained a liquid as red as fresh blood.
Just looking at the blood-red liquid made Pei Ze feel his own blood quicken and his body grow hot.
Startled, he quickly looked away. It took a few seconds for the feeling to subside.
Pei Ze was amazed. After composing himself, he looked at the final item. It was a broken, palm-sized stone tablet engraved with several lightning-like patterns. The design looked simple, but when he focused his gaze on it, he found himself involuntarily engrossed, only snapping out of it after a long moment.
’What just happened?’
Pei Ze was puzzled, sensing a subtle change in his body.
He checked himself carefully and found that his perception of the surrounding Thunder Element Particles seemed to have become much sharper.
However, this heightened sensitivity was slowly fading, gradually returning to normal.
’This tablet can increase my affinity for the thunder element?’
A look of astonishment crossed Pei Ze’s face. When he looked at the tablet again, the lightning-bolt patterns suddenly seemed far from simple.
