Chapter 23: Chapter 21: Malice

Zhou Diao remained impassive, subtly shaking the hand behind his back.

The team members exchanged glances and silently put away their weapons.

One of the female members deliberately raised her voice. "What’s going on? Weren’t we told there was a tunnel? Who dug such a huge pit?"

Zhou Diao played along. "Those two down there look a little suspicious to me. I don’t see any injured Alien Species, either. This could be a trap."

Zhou Diao wrapped the rope a few times around his left hand and said to Feng Ling, "I’ll go down first. You bring up the rear."

Beside her, Huangfu Miaomiao looked at her pitifully, her eyes seemingly begging, ’Can I not go down?’
