"You’re like a ghost," Charlotte remarked with a faint smile.
"No need for small talk. Just tell me if you’ve found anything that suits me," Violet replied.
"Actually, there is something that really suits you," Charlotte answered. "But I don’t know whether you’ll like it."
After saying that, she showed Violet the screen of her phone.
It displayed the image of a humanoid figure with the head of a black bull.
The first thought that came to Enzo’s mind when he saw it was simple.
Ugly.
"This is an S-Class External Power," Charlotte said with a smile. "It’s called the Head of Bull of Darkness. Although it will merge with your head, it will only change your head when you activate it."
"What does it do?" Violet asked.
Although Enzo wanted Violet to always look attractive, he wasn’t completely against it if the item could genuinely make her stronger.
"It can release something called the Domain of Bull of Darkness. I’m sure you know what a domain is. Of course, since this is an S-Class item that enhances your power, your current level isn’t suitable for using it for long periods. So, are you interested? If not, I’ll look for something else."
"No need. I’ll take this one..." Violet nodded.
Enzo couldn’t refuse this.
Where else would he find an item like this?
Without a doubt, it would genuinely help Violet.
"Alright, then it’s settled. I’ll have someone deliver it now. We can wait here. At most, it’ll take around thirty minutes," Charlotte said.
After that, Violet sat quietly.
She simply waited, never touching her coffee.
It seemed as though she had something on her mind, but in reality, it was because Enzo was smoking at the moment.
Charlotte was the only one drinking her coffee, occasionally glancing at Violet.
"You seem to have appeared out of nowhere. No one knows your background or your past. No one even seems to know you," she said after glancing at her several times.
Violet frowned slightly upon hearing that.
"Is there something you want to say or ask?"
"No..." Charlotte shook her head. "I’m just curious, but I’m not the type to dig into other people’s information. It’s just that, for some reason, I feel like we’ve talked privately before."
Enzo: "..."
He hadn’t expected to hear that from her.
Fortunately, he quickly put on a confused expression, which Violet naturally mirrored.
Violet looked puzzled by Charlotte’s words, but after a moment, she seemed indifferent and didn’t think much of it.
After that, she clearly had no desire to communicate anymore and simply closed her eyes while waiting.
If she hadn’t done that, who knew what else Charlotte might have said?
Knock! Knock! Knock!
About thirty minutes later, someone suddenly knocked on the door.
Violet opened her eyes while Charlotte immediately stood up.
She opened the door, revealing a middle-aged man with scars on his cheek and neck.
Violet became serious the moment she saw him.
This middle-aged man gave off an incredibly threatening presence.
Enzo estimated that the sense of danger he gave off wasn’t much weaker than Rebecca’s.
"Uncle Gober, I didn’t expect you to be the one coming," Charlotte greeted him warmly.
It was clear that she genuinely respected this middle-aged man.
"I happened to have some business in Sanctuary, so I decided to take care of this task myself," the middle-aged man replied.
His expression remained fairly indifferent even while speaking to Charlotte.
"The item is inside this ring," he added, handing a ring to her.
"Thank you," Charlotte said.
"It’s nothing. Alright, I’ll be going now!"
The middle-aged man immediately left without saying anything else.
Charlotte closed the door before returning to her seat.
Surprisingly, after sitting down, she placed the ring in front of Violet with a smile.
"You’re not afraid I’ll run off with this?" Violet commented.
"I’m only worried that you still don’t trust me. If I didn’t do this, this transaction might never happen because of your suspicions. Check it yourself," Charlotte replied.
Violet picked up the ring and examined it.
Inside the ring was indeed the bull’s head.
It was real.
Fooling someone’s eyes was easy, but fooling the System was something that had never happened.
Trying to deceive the System during a transaction was practically impossible.
Violet transferred the bull’s head into her own Storage Artifact, then moved the Steel Ant Source into the ring before returning it to Charlotte.
"When will you open the Monster Prison, and where?" Violet asked.
"Z City. Of course, I need some preparations first. Although there’s already a suitable building, it needs to be renovated. I’ll also have to recruit several Healers to help me breed the Steel Ants."
"Ohh..."
Enzo hadn’t expected her to choose Z City.
After all, the O’Conner Family didn’t live there.
But that wasn’t his concern.
Violet stood up, opened the door, and disappeared into Invisible Mode.
[External Power:]
- Armor (B)
- Slime Heart (A+)
- Eye of Time (S)
- Head of Bull of Darkness (S)
She now had another External Power, and it was S-Class.
As Violet’s controller, Enzo naturally felt incredible.
"Ohhh..."
Through the screen, he saw Augus and his companions entering the portal.
They were leaving Sanctuary.
This was somewhat surprising.
Whether he had other business elsewhere or had simply become frustrated, this meant fewer problems for Violet.
Of course, Violet remained in Invisible Mode until she was outside Sanctuary.
She revealed herself about two hundred meters away from the gate and continued walking casually.
For Enzo, the problem now was that he had no destination.
He studied the map again.
In fact, there were still many things on the map that he hadn’t paid attention to.
There were numerous markings, but none of them had descriptions, so he had no idea what they represented.
This time, he became interested in two markings positioned next to each other.
They were located above the river.
One was an image of a broken bridge, while the one beside it depicted a whirlpool.
On the map, they were located near the corner of the river.
Not an actual corner of the river, of course, but rather the corner of the river as it appeared on the map.
"Let’s go there..." Enzo decided.
At first, he had considered sending Violet across the river.
But that location, despite not requiring her to cross the river, was actually quite a long journey.
