After reading the notification, Enzo’s smile faded.

It would take 300 million EXP to reach Level 26. How was he supposed to accumulate that much?

’Well, at least I’ve reached an impressive level now,’ he thought with a sigh.

Violet made her way back through the tunnel in Slime Mode.

Surprisingly, there were no more attacks.

With nothing else to worry about, she returned to Normal Mode and sprinted toward the tunnel’s exit.

The man from earlier was still waiting outside. He didn’t look particularly happy, but the moment he saw Violet return, curiosity appeared on his face.

Violet, however, was too lazy to explain anything.

She walked toward the cave entrance.

Shua!

Before the wolves could pounce on her, she had already leaped high into the air and shot one of her threads toward a rock, wrapping it around the surface.

Her body was instantly pulled upward.

The man followed her, seemingly wanting to see how she managed to climb.

Unexpectedly, a pair of wings suddenly appeared on his back. With a single flap, he shot upward.

So he was another person with wings.

"Miss, if you’re willing to cooperate with me, I can take you to another place where a treasure is hidden," the man said after landing in front of Violet.

He closed the glass bottle in his hand, and the flame inside immediately went out, leaving behind what looked like a strange, damaged wick.

It could clearly be lit again if supplied with a new flame. The important thing was that the bottle remained sealed.

"Is it a better place?" Violet asked.

Her eyes lit up again when she heard that.

"It’s definitely better. The challenge is much harder, after all. But how am I supposed to trust you?" the man replied.

"What’s your name?" Violet asked.

"My name is Abel Wilson," the man answered.

"Fine. You want to know how you can trust me? There’s no way. But I have no reason to deceive you. That’s not my style. If I wanted to, I could simply force you to tell me. I doubt you’d be able to withstand it if I cut off one or two of your fingers. Since I haven’t done that, just trust that I won’t deceive you and that I’ll divide the treasure fairly."

Abel fell silent.

His lips moved as if he wanted to say something, but no words came out.

"So, do you want to cooperate or not? Unless you’d rather find someone else?" Violet asked again with a faint, mocking smile.

People who relied on others for their strength were often betrayed. This man had probably experienced something similar before. That was why he was so cautious.

After saying that, Violet took a step forward.

"Can you handle a Level 31 Monster?" Abel spoke again. "You know, reaching Level 31 means undergoing a massive transformation in strength. Even the most ordinary monsters become extremely terrifying."

Violet’s eyes blinked twice in quick succession when she heard that.

Although reaching Level 25 had given her a tremendous boost in confidence, she knew that Level 31 was a serious challenge, even if her opponent was nothing more than an ordinary monster.

After all, the gap between them was still enormous.

But this was a challenge worth attempting.

"Take me there!" she replied.

"Not now. Tomorrow, during the day. I need to prepare myself properly first," Abel answered.

Violet looked slightly displeased at having to wait until tomorrow. However, after furrowing her brows for a moment, she nodded.

"Okay. Tomorrow. We’ll meet here again!"

Whoosh!

Violet left.

Enzo decided to be patient. His mood was already exceptionally good after reaching Level 25.

"Hahaha, who do we have here?"

Violet hadn’t gone far when she suddenly heard someone laughing.

A blondish-red-haired man, only about a year older than her, stood there looking disheveled. Scars ran across his neck and cheek, and he carried a hammer that seemed capable of growing larger.

Enzo was slightly surprised when he saw him.

This man was one of Augus’s followers.

He had always seen him whenever he saw Augus.

However, apart from this man, there was no sign of anyone else nearby.

Unless he had come here alone.

"Miss, I don’t hate you, but you brought this trouble upon yourself. Augus has promised a huge reward to anyone who helps him capture you. Even if you can disappear, you’ll soon realize that won’t necessarily be enough to help you escape," the man said as he walked toward Violet.

His confidence was obvious from the faint smile on his face.

Violet had completely concealed her aura, making it impossible to detect her level. Even her presence was difficult to sense. Unless someone saw her with their own eyes, they might even doubt that she was there.

Believing Violet was still in her teens in terms of level, it was understandable that the man thought capturing her would be easy.

After all, he was Level 27.

Violet gave him an odd smile.

"If you try to do something to me and fail, don’t blame me if you lose everything afterward," she said.

"It’s good that you’re still arrogant. That way, I won’t feel guilty about bullying a junior. Ehh..."

He had barely finished speaking when the man froze.

His hands and feet could no longer move.

Dozens of invisible threads had tightly wrapped around his body.

His hammer fell to the ground.

And then—

BANG!

He was forcibly slammed into a sitting position.

"Brat!"

His muscles bulged as he directed all his physical strength into breaking free. His body even began to grow larger, accompanied by a surge of flames.

But in the very next instant, an invisible attack shook his very soul.

His body shrank again, while the flames around him dimmed.

Cold sweat immediately poured from his body as the sudden weakening left him struggling to breathe.

He no longer had the strength to resist the threads.

In the end, he could only stare at Violet in utter disbelief.
