"Oh my," Mirajane mocked playfully. "You little monsters are so cute. But you are far too weak. Let me show you a real magic trick."

She formed dozens of glowing purple orbs around her body. She pointed her staff down. The orbs rained down on the monster horde. They hit the street and exploded. Bright purple fireworks lit up the dark city. The massive blasts sent monsters flying in every direction.

"She is basically a magical girl," Ken thought lazily. "But a very scary, destructive magical girl. She reminds me of a villain who switched sides to join the heroes. I am very glad she is on my team. She brings excellent visual effects to the battle."

Leviathan glided across the battlefield. The Demon Queen of the Serpents looked absolutely breathtaking. She wore her dark emerald dress. She moved like liquid water. Her high-pressure water whip sliced through the air. She used a flowing, continuous attack style. It looked exactly like a famous water-breathing sword technique.

She wrapped the water whip around a giant troll. She pulled her arm back. The troll lost its balance and crashed into a group of flying gargoyles. Leviathan laughed a soft, melodic laugh.

"You creatures are incredibly clumsy," Leviathan teased. She spun around gracefully. She sent a massive wave of freezing water across the street. The water sliced right through the monster armor.

The eight commanders completely dominated the fight. They did not show any signs of tiring. They wiped out thousands of monsters in mere minutes. The massive gap in power was undeniable.

Javier stood in the back. His eyes burned with toxic purple light. He could not believe his eyes. His massive army was shrinking rapidly. His ultimate plan was falling apart right in front of him.

"Do not stop!" Javier screamed frantically. "There are only eight of them! They will run out of magic! Keep charging!"

Ken listened to the dark mage. He let out another silent sigh in his mind.

"He really does not understand how overpowered characters work," Ken mumbled in his head. He shoved his hands deeper into his pockets. "My units have infinite stamina. They do not run out of mana. This is completely unfair for him. He is trying to use a basic zerg rush strategy. Zerg rushes never work against max-level boss characters. He is a terrible gamer. I almost feel bad for him. Almost."

The battlefield turned into a chaotic mix of bright colors. Red energy, blue lasers, purple explosions, and silver weapons flashed constantly. The intense magical pressure evaporated the dark purple fog entirely.

Erana swung her longsword again. She cut a massive serpentine beast in half. She laughed brightly. "This is a great workout! I love stretching my arms! Send more monsters!"

Joseph blocked a dark energy blast with a stone wall. He punched the wall. The rocks flew forward like cannonballs. They smashed into a group of shadow wolves.

Samiha continued her drilling attacks. She zoomed across the plaza. She left a long trail of gray ash behind her. She did not stop spinning her weapon.

The monsters tried to fight back. They swung their dark swords. They fired toxic acid from their mouths. But they could not touch the commanders. The elite spirits dodged every single attack.

Ken stood perfectly still. The Sovereign projected pure dominance. He did not lift a single finger. He just watched the light show.

"I really want a snack right now," Ken thought lazily. "I should have brought a popcorn machine. Watching an epic battle without snacks is a massive tragedy. I will definitely remind Naomi to pack extra chips next time."

Merlin and Mirajane teamed up. Mirajane gathered a massive sphere of chaotic magic. She tossed it high into the sky. Merlin pointed his blue spear at the sphere. He fired a concentrated laser beam. The beam hit the sphere. The sphere shattered into hundreds of homing missiles.

The magical missiles rained down on the enemy. They tracked the monsters automatically. The explosions wiped out an entire city block of enemies. The destruction was absolute.

Javier gritted his teeth. His pale hands shook with pure anger. He summoned a dark shield to block the incoming flying debris.

"This is impossible!" Javier hissed. "My army is invincible!"

Leviathan heard him. She glided over to the edge of the fight. She offered Javier a very cruel, seductive smile.

"Nothing is invincible, darling," Leviathan mocked smoothly. She tilted her head. "You just brought weak toys to a real fight. You should just give up now. It will save us a lot of boring cleanup work. We have better things to do today."

Javier glared at her. He pulled more dark mana from the environment. He tried to summon more monsters from the sky portals. But the portals were starting to close. The sheer presence of Ken's commanders disrupted the dark magic completely.

Ken watched Javier panic. He offered a small, hidden smile under his mask. "He is totally losing his mind. He has absolutely zero backup plans. He put all his points into summoning and forgot to level up his defense."

The first part of the battle was an absolute slaughter. The one hundred thousand monsters were dropping by the thousands. The streets of the Bluemoon Kingdom were covered in thick layers of gray ash. The dark army was losing badly. They could not push forward.

But Ryu had not even started yet.

The massive dragon-man was just warming up. He watched the others fight. He wanted to show his true power to his master. He wanted to end the fight with a massive, glorious display of destruction. He decided to take matters into his own hands. The real devastation was about to begin.

---

Ryu stood in the middle of the plaza. He watched the other commanders fight the dark monsters. He crossed his huge, muscular arms over his chest. He did not look satisfied at all. He wanted to do much more. He wanted to impress Lancelot.

"You are all moving too slowly!" Ryu roared loudly. His deep voice shook the remaining stone buildings. "The Master deserves a swift victory! I will show you how to truly eradicate an enemy! Step aside!"

Ken heard Ryu yelling. Ken sighed internally.

"Oh boy," Ken thought lazily. He slouched his shoulders under his dark cloak. "Ryu is getting very excited again. He always goes completely overboard. I just hope he does not melt the entire city. I do not want to pay for property damages. Fixing cobblestones is very expensive."

Ryu turned around. He looked directly at Lancelot. He dropped to one knee. He slammed his fist against his chest armor. The metal clanged loudly.

"My glorious Master!" Ryu shouted with absolute, fanatical devotion. "Permit me to unleash my true form! Let me burn these pathetic creatures to the ground in your name! I will turn them to ash!"

Lancelot did not move. He simply gave a tiny, almost invisible nod of his masked head.

Ryu grinned a fierce, terrifying grin. He stood up immediately. He turned back to the massive ocean of monsters. His golden, reptilian eyes glowed brightly. The dark red dragon scales on his arms began to spread quickly across his skin.
