The Emperor sat perfectly still on his golden throne. He prepared to answer.

He did not get the chance.

The temperature in the summit room suddenly plummeted. The air turned incredibly cold. The bright magical lights flickered. A massive, terrifying shadow pooled in the exact center of the round table.

The foreign kings gasped in pure shock. They stumbled backward in their chairs.

Laxmi jumped to her feet. She pointed at the TV. "THERE HE IS! HE IS HERE!"

Zinia grabbed Laxmi by the arm. "Sit down! I cannot see!"

On the screen, the dark shadows swirled wildly. They twisted upward like a tornado of pure night.

Lancelot stepped out of the shadows.

He stood directly in the middle of the massive wooden table. His black cloak flowed elegantly around his boots. His glowing purple eye stared directly at the King of Zulfara.

The entire room froze in absolute terror.

Naomi gasped. Her hand flew to her mouth. "He is magnificent."

Laxmi punched the air. "YES! That is the coolest entrance I have ever seen! He just appears out of nowhere on the table! The kings look like they are going to wet their pants!"

Zinia laughed her deep, booming laugh. "The spiky king is shaking. His armor is rattling. This is the greatest moment in diplomatic history."

Sayma pushed her glasses up. "His entrance methods are incredibly theatrical. It is a flawless display of intimidation."

Ira stared blankly at the screen. "Statistically speaking, the sudden appearance of an apex predator silences a room ninety-nine percent of the time."

Luna sat up on her armchair. She rubbed her sleepy eyes. "Did I miss something important? Is the cool guy here?"

Risa pointed at the TV. "Lancelot is on top of the table! He looks very tall and scary!"

On the screen, Lancelot stood tall on the table. He did not draw a weapon. He simply looked down at the King of Zulfara.

"You yell very loudly," Lancelot stated. His deep, echoing voice filled the vast marble room. "Your voice is incredibly annoying. You should learn to whisper."

The King of Zulfara turned totally pale. "You... you are Lancelot."

"I am," Lancelot replied coldly. "I listened to your pathetic speech. You claim I am a weapon of terror. You claim I destroy nations on a whim."

Naomi smiled a warm, proud smile. "He is going to destroy them with words before he even uses magic."

Lancelot took a slow step forward on the table. "Neighboring countries fear me so much that they resort to framing me with lies. You are terrified of my presence. You know you cannot defeat me. So you invent stories. You blame me for your own failures."

The King of Zenith swallowed hard. He looked down at the floor. The King of Felacia wiped sweat from his forehead.

Laxmi laughed loudly. "Look at them! They are terrified! They have been talking tough all day and now they cannot even look at him!"

On the screen, the King of Zulfara's face burned with humiliation. "How dare you speak to me like that! I am a King! I rule a massive nation! You are just a rogue assassin!"

Lancelot did not flinch. He stared at the angry king with total apathy.

Behind the mask, Ken let out a long, silent sigh.

"This guy has a massive superiority complex," Ken thought lazily from behind the mask. "He thinks wearing a shiny crown makes him special. I am going to give him a very quick, very harsh lesson in power scaling."

Lancelot pointed a dark-gloved finger at the King of Zulfara. "Whether one is a King or a commoner, it does not matter to me. An enemy of the planet is an enemy of the planet. I do not care about your silly titles. I do not care about your iron armor. I do not care about your throne."

Lancelot tilted his head. "You are nothing but a pest."

The entire room gasped.

Laxmi slapped her knee. "He called a king a pest! On live television! This is the greatest broadcast in the history of the world!"

Zinia shook her head. A huge grin spread across her face. "He has absolutely no filter. I love it."

On the screen, the King of Zulfara turned a bright, explosive shade of crimson. His eyes burned with blind hatred. "You arrogant monster! Sterling! Kill him! Cut his head off right now! Defend my honor!"

A tall, incredibly lean knight stepped out of the shadows. He wore sleek, black armor. He held a long, razor-sharp silver spear.

Naomi frowned. "A knight? Is he seriously sending a knight against Lancelot?"

Ira's flat voice cut through the room. "Statistically speaking, sending a mortal blade user against an immortal entity has a zero percent success rate. The King of Zulfara has made a catastrophic tactical error."

The knight bent his knees. He prepared to strike.

The diplomatic summit was officially over. A clash was about to erupt.

---

The living room fell completely silent. Every single person stared at the television screen.

On the broadcast, the knight named Sterling crouched low to the ground. His black armor reflected the bright magical lights. He held his silver spear perfectly level.

Sayma leaned forward. Her pen stopped moving. "Sterling is famous for his speed. He is considered the fastest knight in Zulfara."

Laxmi gripped her popcorn bowl tightly. "Fast does not matter against Lancelot. Fast is just slow in a different font."

Sterling kicked off the marble floor. The marble cracked under his boots.

He vanished.

He completely disappeared from normal vision. A loud, sharp sonic boom echoed across the room.

Naomi's eyes widened. "He is fast. I cannot even track him on the screen."

Laxmi grinned. "Watch this. Lancelot is not even going to move."

On the screen, Sterling appeared directly in front of Lancelot. He thrust his sharp silver spear straight forward. He aimed for the absolute center of Lancelot's chest.

"Die!" the King of Zulfara cheered.

Lancelot did not dodge. He did not summon a shield. He did not take a single step backward.

He simply raised his right hand.

The razor-sharp tip of the silver spear slammed directly into the center of Lancelot's open palm.

A massive shockwave erupted from the impact. The blast of wind knocked papers off desks across the summit room.

But the spear stopped.

It stopped completely dead. The sharp metal tip did not pierce Lancelot's glove. It did not leave a single scratch.

Laxmi cheered loudly. "I KNEW IT! He caught it with ONE HAND!"

Zinia laughed. "The fastest knight in Zulfara just got humiliated on live television."

On the screen, Sterling gasped. He pushed forward with all his might. The spear shaft bent under the pressure. Lancelot's hand did not budge a single millimeter.

"You are very slow," Lancelot stated coldly.

Lancelot closed his fingers around the tip of the spear. He squeezed. The solid, enchanted metal instantly shattered like brittle glass.

Sterling stumbled forward. Lancelot grabbed him by the collar. He lifted the tall knight completely off the table with one hand.

"You are incredibly annoying," Lancelot murmured.
