He tossed the knight aside like a piece of garbage. Sterling flew across the room. He crashed into a marble pillar. The pillar cracked. Sterling slumped to the floor, totally knocked out.

The room went completely silent.

The King of Zulfara stared at his fallen champion. All the blood drained from his face.

Naomi smiled. "The fastest knight in Zulfara was defeated in less than ten seconds."

Sayma clicked her pen. "Five seconds, actually. I counted."

Laxmi threw her hands in the air. "LANCELOT IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Did you see that?! He did not even try! He just grabbed him and threw him like a potato sack!"

On the screen, Lancelot stood on the table. He felt mildly irritated. He decided he needed to teach these arrogant kings a permanent lesson.

"I need an area-of-effect spell," Ken thought from behind the mask. "Something very dramatic. Ice magic is always very cool. Pun entirely intended."

Lancelot lowered his hand. He released his power.

Instantly, the atmosphere inside the grand summit room changed. The warm summer air vanished. The temperature plummeted. It dropped below freezing in a single second.

Thick, white frost spread across the round wooden table. It crawled up the chairs. It covered the chandeliers. The water in the pitchers turned to solid ice. The windows frosted over completely.

The entire room turned into a frozen winter domain.

Naomi shivered just watching the screen. "He is freezing the entire summit room."

Laxmi laughed. "Look at the spiky king! He is on his knees! His lips are turning blue!"

On the screen, the King of Zulfara fell to his knees on the frozen marble floor. He shivered uncontrollably. He could not speak.

Lancelot stood in the center of the frozen room. His black cloak did not freeze. The gold embroidery shined in the dim light.

"You test my patience," Lancelot declared. His voice was absolute, freezing death. "You sit in your comfortable castles. You throw your weak soldiers at me. You believe your crowns protect you."

Lancelot took a slow step forward on the frozen table. The ice cracked under his boots.

"I do not play political games. I do not care about treaties. I do not care about borders. If you ever point a weapon at me again, I will freeze your entire nation. I will turn your kingdom into a silent, frozen tomb."

Risa hugged her teddy bear tightly. "He sounds very angry. I hope he does not freeze anyone forever."

Luna pulled her knitted blanket tighter. "It looks very cold in there. I am glad we are watching from the estate. Our room is warm."

On the screen, the Emperor of Belmontia stood up from his golden throne. "That is enough, Lancelot. Lower the temperature immediately. Return this room to normal. That is a direct command."

Everyone in the living room held their breath.

Naomi leaned forward. "Is he going to listen?"

Laxmi grabbed Zinia's arm. "Come on, Lancelot. Do not embarrass the Emperor."

On the screen, Lancelot turned his masked head. He looked at the Emperor. The glowing purple eye stared silently for three long seconds.

Then, Lancelot gave a very slow, respectful bow.

"As you command, Your Majesty."

Lancelot snapped his fingers. Snap.

The freezing winter chill vanished entirely. The frost evaporated. The ice melted. The warm summer air returned.

The living room erupted with cheers.

Laxmi jumped up and down on the rug. "HE LISTENED! THE SHADOW GOD LISTENED TO THE EMPEROR! ON LIVE TELEVISION!"

Zinia clapped her strong hands together. "The foreign kings just saw Lancelot obey a direct order from the Emperor. The political balance of the entire continent just shifted."

Sayma smiled. She wrote in her notebook. "The Emperor now looks like the master of the most powerful weapon in the world. The foreign leaders will think twice before challenging Belmontia."

Naomi sat back on the sofa. A warm, satisfied smile spread across her face. "Lancelot did it. He played the role perfectly."

On the screen, Lancelot stood on the table. "My work here is done."

Dark shadows rose from the floor. They wrapped around his figure. In a flash of purple light, the masked entity vanished completely.

The grand chamber remained completely silent.

The clone let out a low whistle from the sofa. "Wow, it got really cold in there for a second. Did someone leave a window open? Anyway, is it time for lunch yet? I am starving."

Naomi laughed. "You are thinking about lunch after all of that?"

"I am always thinking about lunch," the clone replied lazily. "It is a full-time job."

The living room burst into laughter.

---

The living room of the 13th Unit estate was quiet. Everyone stared at the television screen. The summit room was calm again. The ice was gone. The foreign kings sat in their chairs, breathing slowly, looking totally terrified.

Naomi smiled. "Look at them. They are completely intimidated. Lancelot did exactly what he needed to do."

Laxmi lay back on the rug, a satisfied grin on her face. "That was the best thing I have ever seen on television. I am never watching regular shows again. Nothing will ever be as good as watching Lancelot freeze an entire room of politicians."

Zinia laughed. "We should record this. We can watch it again next movie night."

On the screen, the silence finally broke. A man sitting on the left side of the table let out a soft, amused chuckle.

The Sultan of Albino leaned back in his plush chair. He held a small silver bowl filled with fresh green grapes. He popped a grape into his mouth. He chewed it happily.

"Please, gentlemen," the Sultan announced smoothly. "Let us restore some order to this summit. You are all acting like frightened children. You are jumping to massive conclusions."

The clone sat up slightly on the sofa. Its dark eyes lit up with pure joy. "I absolutely love this guy. He brings his own snacks to a global summit. He eats grapes while everyone else cries. He is a total legend."

Naomi laughed. "You two would get along perfectly."

"We would be best friends," the clone agreed happily.

On the screen, the Sultan of Albino set his silver bowl down. His relaxed smile vanished. His eyes turned sharp.

"I call for absolute calm. You claim the royal bloodline of Bluemoon was wiped out. You claim the entire nation is a total loss. Your spies gave you incorrect information."

The King of Felacia frowned. "What are you talking about? The blast radius was massive."

"The citizens in the blast zone did not survive," the Sultan agreed solemnly. "It is a profound tragedy. But the royal family is not entirely gone. The royal bloodline survived."

Sayma gasped. She dropped her pen. "The heirs of Bluemoon are alive."

Laxmi sat up straight. "Wait, what? The prince and princess survived?"

On the screen, the Sultan revealed the truth. "The Bluemoon Crown Prince and his sister were secretly evacuated. They were smuggled out of the capital city just moments before the weapon fired. They were sent directly to my nation. They are entirely safe."

Naomi put her hand over her mouth. "They are alive. The Sultan saved them."
