Naomi stepped forward. She spun her twin silver daggers. The metal blades clicked sharply. Her red ponytail swished behind her back. She turned her head and looked behind her. She looked directly at Ken Eliot.

Naomi did not scowl. She did not yell at him. She smiled a very warm, friendly smile. Her green eyes sparkled with genuine affection.

"Stay right there, Ken," Naomi instructed gently. She playfully bumped his knee with the handle of her dagger. "I will keep this ugly bug away from you. Just sit back and relax."

Ken Eliot sat on a broken piece of concrete. He wore his wrinkled navy blue suit pants. His white shirt hung completely untucked over his belt. He did not wear a tie. His black hair stuck up in wild, messy spikes. He slouched his shoulders as far as they could possibly go.

He opened a large bag of barbecue potato chips. He reached into the bag. He pulled out a crispy chip. He popped it into his mouth.

Crunch. Crunch. Crunch.

He chewed his food happily. He gave Naomi a goofy, lazy grin.

"You are doing a fantastic job, Naomi," Ken mumbled casually. He swallowed his chip. "I am perfectly safe. I am officially on break today. This concrete rock is very comfortable. I claim this rock as my personal territory."

Ken knew the exact truth about his situation. He thought about the strict rules of the Upper Council. The Imperial politicians placed absolute restrictions on his public persona. They legally forbade Lancelot from participating in public battles. The masked entity was a secret weapon. A secret weapon could not fight in the middle of a crowded city.

Lancelot was forced to remain on standby. Ken could not use his god-like magic. He could not summon a giant dragon. He could not erase the monster. He had to act like a normal, lazy servant.

Ken smiled a huge, goofy smile. He absolutely loved this rule. It gave him a perfect, legal excuse to sit down. He did not have to run. He did not have to dodge. He did not have to do any cardio. He was a complete spectator.

"This is a classic raid boss," Ken analyzed in his mind. He grabbed another potato chip. "The developers made this guy way too overpowered. He has a massive health bar. He buffs his minions. He hits like a truck. My team needs backup. They cannot beat this stage alone. I will just eat my chips and watch the show."

Suddenly, a bright white light flashed across the plaza. A dark shadow crawled rapidly across the pavement. Two new groups of people stepped into the ruined street.

Princess Hestia walked forward. She wore her pristine white silk dress. Golden embroidery lined the edges of her gown. Her auburn hair looked perfect. She looked incredibly annoyed. Her white shoes stepped carefully over a broken cobblestone.

Zaima and Elma walked right behind her. They wore spotless white and gold uniforms. Elma looked around the street. She saw Ken sitting on the rock. Her cheeks instantly turned a bright, vibrant shade of pink. She quickly looked away. She stared very hard at a brick wall. She tried to hide her blush.

Prince Hades walked from the other side of the plaza. He wore a flawless black suit. His pale green eyes looked entirely cold. He looked furious. His perfect mathematical plans were completely ruined. Adrian and his elite servants followed the Prince closely.

The three Royal units stood in the ruined street. They stared at the giant Bug King. The monster roared. A toxic green light flashed from the bone crown on its head.

"This bug is ruining my entire day," Princess Hestia complained. She crossed her arms. "The streets are covered in slime. My dress is getting dirty. This is completely unacceptable."

Prince Hades glared at the monster. "My tactical data is entirely useless. This creature disrupted my entire patrol route. The variables are completely out of control. It possesses an illogical amount of physical power."

Princess Iris lowered her silver rapier. She looked at her older brother and her older sister.

"We cannot fight this monster alone," Princess Iris stated clearly. Her voice echoed over the roaring beast. "It is a massive threat. It controls the entire insect swarm. We must join forces right now. We must launch a coordinated assault."

Hestia scoffed loudly. She turned her nose up. "You want me to team up with you? That is absurd. My unit is completely superior."

"Iris is logically correct," Hades replied coldly. His pale face showed zero emotion. "The monster possesses superior physical durability. A single unit cannot break its armor. We must combine our magical output to contain it. Refusing to cooperate is a massive tactical error."

Hestia rolled her green eyes. She sighed dramatically. "Fine. But I am taking the credit for this victory. Do not get in my way."

Ken watched the three Royals talk. He slouched his shoulders even further. He clapped his hands together slowly. He brushed salt off his fingers.

"This is an absolute masterpiece," Ken announced casually. He pointed a lazy finger at the three units. "It is the classic crossover episode. The rival teams join forces to fight the big bad guy. It is the ultimate anime movie special. I really need some popcorn. Does anyone have popcorn?"

Naomi chuckled softly. "You just ate a whole bag of chips, Ken. Stop whining. Pay attention to the fight."

"I am paying attention," Ken smiled a goofy smile. "I am evaluating their teamwork. I am a professional talent scout. I give them a seven out of ten for dramatic entrances."

The Bug King screeched loudly. It raised its massive scythe arms. It completely ignored Sayma's cracking shield. It prepared to strike the new arrivals.

"Vanguards!" Princess Iris commanded powerfully. "Engage the target! Keep it contained! Do not let it advance!"

The combined royal forces moved instantly. The massive, three-way cooperative battle officially began.

Sayma pushed her glasses up. She looked directly at Zaima. The scowling servant from the 16th Unit glared right back at her.

"We must combine our barrier magic," Sayma instructed politely. "My hexagons and your triangles will form a complete geometric dome. It is the only way to trap the beast."

Zaima sneered. She absolutely hated working with Sayma. But she raised her hands anyway. "Do not tell me what to do. I know how to cast a shield. Just keep up with me."

Glowing golden hexagons shot into the air from Sayma's hands. Bright white triangles erupted from Zaima's fingers. The two different shapes flew toward the giant Bug King. They locked together perfectly in the sky. They formed a massive, reinforced dome of pure light over the monster.

The Bug King smashed its claws against the dome. The barrier shook violently. The street trembled. But the dome did not break. The combined magic was incredibly strong. The monster was totally trapped inside the glowing cage.

Prince Hades stepped forward. His cold green eyes locked onto the trapped monster. He raised his pale hand. He summoned his unique magic.
