"Shadow Bind," Hades stated calmly.

Dark, pitch-black shadows ripped out of the ground. The shadows slithered like massive snakes. They wrapped entirely around the Bug King's six giant legs. The darkness pulled tight. The monster stumbled. It could not move its feet. It shrieked in pure frustration. It thrashed its massive body, but the shadows anchored it to the cobblestones.

"The target is immobilized," Adrian reported coldly. The 15th Unit servants raised their staffs. They threw dark purple energy blasts directly at the monster's face. The blasts exploded against the purple shell.

"My turn!" Laxmi roared happily.

Laxmi jumped high into the air. Bright orange flames covered her entire body. She looked like a falling meteor. "Take this, you ugly bug!"

Laxmi threw a gigantic fireball. The fire slammed directly into the Bug King's dark purple shell. The flames washed over the armor. The monster hissed loudly. The heat scorched the air.

---

Elma dashed across the pavement. She spun her twin silver swords. She moved with blinding, flawless speed. She slashed her sharp blades against the monster's knees. The swords sparked brightly against the hard shell. The sound of clashing metal filled the plaza.

"The armor is incredibly dense," Elma noted sharply. She flipped backward gracefully to avoid a swinging claw. Her white uniform remained totally spotless. "My swords cannot pierce the outer layer. We need more blunt force."

Ken sat comfortably on his rock. He pulled a small juice box from his pocket. He unwrapped the tiny straw. He poked the straw into the box. He slurped the juice loudly. Sluuuurp.

"The boss has super armor," Ken mumbled lazily. He set the empty juice box down on the dirt. "The tanks are holding the aggro perfectly. Sayma and Zaima are doing a great job. Hades is using excellent crowd control. But the damage dealers are lacking critical hit power. They need a massive DPS burst to break that shell."

Naomi heard him speak. She turned around. She smiled warmly. She spun her daggers effortlessly. "We just have to keep hitting it, Ken! We will find a weak spot! Just sit back and watch!"

Naomi used her green wind magic. She zipped entirely around the monster. She slashed at its joints. She created a localized tornado to confuse the bug. The wind howled loudly.

Zinia stomped her boots on the ground. Giant pillars of solid rock crashed into the Bug King's sides. The monster roared in anger. The rock pillars shattered into dust. The impact echoed loudly across the ruined city blocks.

Ira stood perfectly still. Her pale face showed zero emotion. She swung her high-pressure water whips. The whips wrapped tightly around the monster's massive scythe arms. She pulled backward with all her might. She stopped the bug from swinging its deadly weapons.

"Statistically speaking," Ira stated in her robotic, deadpan voice. "The monster is totally contained. Its offensive capabilities are restricted by eighty-five percent. However, our damage output is currently insufficient for a lethal strike."

Luna rubbed her sleepy eyes. She leaned against a broken wall. She let out a massive, dramatic yawn. She pointed two fingers at the trapped monster.

"Zap," Luna mumbled lazily.

A jagged yellow lightning bolt shot from her fingers. The electricity shocked the Bug King. The monster twitched slightly. The lightning grounded out against the thick purple shell. It did not penetrate the armor. Luna sighed and closed her eyes again.

Princess Hestia watched the battle from a safe distance. She stood perfectly clean. She did not cast a single spell. She just looked incredibly arrogant.

"The creature is trapped," Princess Hestia declared smoothly. "But it is not dead. You girls need to hit it harder. Stop playing with it."

Princess Iris gripped her rapier. Her violet eyes searched the monster for any opening. She looked for a weak point. "Keep the pressure up! Do not let the shadows break! We must maintain the perimeter!"

The Bug King struggled furiously. It hated being trapped. It gathered toxic green magic deep inside its jaws. The green light glowed blindingly bright. It fired a massive laser of pure acid. The acid hit the combined barrier dome. The golden and white light sizzled loudly.

"Hold the shield!" Sayma yelled politely. She poured more mana into the spell. Sweat dripped down her chin.

Zaima gritted her teeth. Her face turned bright red with effort. "I am holding it! Just kill the stupid bug before my arms fall off!"

Ken watched the intense struggle. He slouched his shoulders as far as they could possibly go. He reached into his pocket. He pulled out a wrapped piece of strawberry candy. He unwrapped it very slowly. He popped it into his mouth. He chewed it happily.

"This is a very long raid battle," Ken thought casually to himself. He crossed his legs on the rock. "The boss is totally trapped. The team has perfect containment mechanics. They are doing everything right. But they cannot finish the fight. The armor is simply too strong. They need a top-tier character to deliver the final blow. They need someone with massive stats."

Ken knew he could easily deliver that final blow. He could snap his fingers. He could summon a dark sword. He could slice the giant bug entirely in half. It would take him less than one second.

But he could not do it.

He remembered the strict rules. The Imperial politicians placed absolute restrictions on Lancelot. The masked entity was legally banned from public interference. Ken could not use his god-like magic in the middle of a crowded city street. He was officially forced to remain on standby.

Ken completely agreed with this rule. He absolutely hated doing cardio. He wanted to sit on his rock all day. He wanted to finish his candy.

"I will just sit here and wait," Ken smiled a goofy smile. He slouched deeper. "They have the situation entirely under control. They just need to keep the bug inside the cage. It is a very impressive display of teamwork. I give it a solid eight out of ten. I deduct two points for the lack of comfortable seating."

Risa hid safely behind Ken's rock. The sweet pink-haired healer clutched her teddy bear tightly. She peeked out at the giant monster.

"Is the scary bug going to break out, Ken?" Risa asked softly. Her green eyes looked very nervous.

Ken turned his head. He patted her shoulder lazily. He gave her a very reassuring, goofy grin.

"Do not worry, Risa," Ken promised gently. "Naomi and the others have it totally contained. The bug is not going anywhere. It is completely stuck. We are perfectly safe sitting right here. We can just watch the light show."

The three Royal units continued their massive, coordinated assault.

Laxmi threw more roaring fireballs. Zinia hurled giant boulders. Luna shot jagged lightning bolts. Elma slashed her silver swords rapidly. Naomi dashed around the arena, striking the joints. Ira held the massive scythe arms tightly with her water whips. Prince Hades maintained the pitch-black shadows around the monster's legs. Sayma and Zaima held the glowing dome firm.
