"He just used a railgun," Ken analyzed lazily. He chewed his candy. "He is exactly like that one electric girl from the magic city anime. She always flips a coin and shoots a massive laser. It is a very cool move. But he did not use a coin. That is a missed opportunity for extra style points."
Naomi smiled a warm, genuine smile. "You always compare real life to your cartoons, Ken. But you have to admit, his power is incredible."
"It is okay," Ken replied casually. He shoved his hands deep into his pockets. "I give it a seven out of ten. The visual effects are great, but the pacing is too slow."
The Bug King pushed itself away from the stone wall. The monster was totally furious. Its glowing red eyes burned with mindless rage. It realized it could not beat Zeus from a distance. It needed to use its massive physical weight.
The giant bug leaped high into the air. It aimed its entire, fifteen-foot-tall body directly at the 1st Prince. It wanted to crush him completely flat.
Zeus looked up at the falling monster. He did not teleport away this time. He wanted to demonstrate his absolute, raw imperial power. He wanted to show the other Royal factions that he was untouchable.
Zeus pulled his right arm back. He channeled a colossal amount of lightning mana into his fist. The yellow light grew so bright it hurt to look at. The air vibrated violently. The static electricity made everyone's hair stand on end.
"He is gathering a massive charge," Sayma warned politely. She pushed her glasses up. "Brace yourselves. The impact shockwave will be enormous."
Zinia stomped her boots. She raised a small, thick wall of solid rock right in front of the 13th Unit. The girls huddled behind the stone barricade to protect themselves from the flying debris.
Ken did not hide behind the rock wall. He stayed seated on his broken piece of concrete. He just slouched lower. He pulled his suit jacket up slightly to cover his ears.
"This is going to be incredibly loud," Ken whined lazily. "I really wish I brought noise-canceling headphones. Or a very thick pillow. A pillow would be fantastic right now."
The giant Bug King crashed down from the sky.
Zeus thrust his glowing fist straight upward. He met the falling monster head-on.
His fist slammed directly into the center of the Bug King's dark purple chest shell.
KABOOM!
The explosion was absolutely catastrophic. A gigantic dome of brilliant yellow electricity erupted in the center of the plaza. The blinding light flooded the entire street. The deafening thunderclap shook the entire capital city.

The massive shockwave blew outward. It ripped the remaining cobblestones right out of the dirt. It shattered the last few intact windows in the area. A massive cloud of dust and smoke rolled across the battlefield. The wind howled furiously.
Zinia gritted her teeth. She held her rock wall strong against the rushing wind. Naomi shielded her face with her arms. Laxmi grinned wildly at the massive explosion. Ira stood perfectly still, letting the wind blow her silver hair. Risa hugged her teddy bear very tightly. Luna snored peacefully through the entire explosion.
Ken sat on his rock. The wind ruffled his messy black hair. A small piece of dirt landed on his white shirt. He brushed it off lazily.
"Well, that was certainly dramatic," Ken mumbled. He looked at his bag of candy. It was almost empty. "I really need to restock my snacks soon. This battle is taking a huge toll on my inventory."
The bright yellow light slowly faded away. The thick gray dust settled onto the ruined street.
The 13th Unit peeked out from behind the rock wall. Princess Iris kept her violet eyes focused on the center of the plaza. She wanted to see the result of the massive clash.
Zeus stood perfectly still in the middle of a massive crater. His white military uniform was still completely spotless. He did not have a single scratch on his body. He slowly lowered his right fist. The lightning faded from his hand.
The giant Bug King lay on its back in the dirt. The monster let out a weak, bubbling hiss.
The 1st Prince’s ultimate punch did not instantly vaporize the beast. The dark purple shell was incredibly dense. It was a massive, highly resilient armor. But the attack did massive damage.
A huge, jagged, glowing crack spread directly across the center of the monster's chest shell. The armor was finally broken. The soft, vulnerable tissue underneath was completely exposed. The beast could not move. The sheer voltage had totally paralyzed its nervous system.
Prince Hades watched from the other side of the plaza. He stood perfectly straight in his black suit. His pale face showed zero emotion. But his pale green eyes narrowed slightly. He recognized the raw, overwhelming power of his older brother.
Princess Hestia crossed her arms. She smoothed her white silk dress. She scoffed softly. "He always has to make a massive mess. Look at this street. It is completely ruined. He has absolutely no elegance."
Zeus ignored his siblings. He stared down at the paralyzed monster. He knew the shell was finally cracked. He knew the beast was totally defenseless.
He raised his right hand into the air one more time. The dark storm clouds above the plaza began to swirl rapidly. Yellow lightning flashed inside the clouds. He prepared to call down a massive, final bolt of pure electricity to finish the job entirely. He wanted to completely erase the monster from existence.
"It is over," Zeus announced coldly. His voice echoed across the quiet, ruined street. "You are finished."
Ken Eliot sat on his rock. He ate his very last green gummy worm. He chewed it slowly. He swallowed. He looked at the giant crack on the monster's chest. He looked at Zeus raising his hand to the sky.
Ken slouched his shoulders. He shoved his hands deep into the pockets of his wrinkled pants. He smiled a very small, very goofy smile.
"He thinks he won," Ken thought casually to himself. He let out a silent, lazy sigh in his mind. "He thinks his punch did all the work. But that shell was way too thick. His lightning was just bouncing off the surface. If he hit it normally, he would have just broken his own hand. He is very lucky I am sitting here."
Ken did not tell anyone his secret. He did not brag. But he knew the absolute truth.
Right before Zeus landed his massive punch, Ken had secretly pointed his finger from his rock. He had fired a microscopic, entirely invisible cyan mana bullet. The bullet hit the exact center of the monster's shell a millisecond before the fist connected. Ken's reality-bending magic completely shattered the structural integrity of the armor. He created the weak spot flawlessly.
Zeus just delivered the finishing push.
