Hearing this, Moira Lynch asked, "What happened? Did you get ganged up on?"

"No, from digging holes."

Downstairs, the other two had already found a place to sit.

For this game, Moira Lynch and Hugh Finch were grouped together, while Kai York and Shane Rhodes were sent to another location.

One thing was for sure, they were playing the game on the same planet.

After much difficulty, Shane Rhodes and Kai York found an oasis, but because they lacked social finesse, they ended up with normal-sized saplings.

Fortunately, the tools Moira Lynch had prepared for them beforehand were a huge help.

They later hired a group of players to help them dig the holes, which was how they managed to complete the task just before the game ended.

So, when they heard that Moira Lynch and Hugh Finch had completed the task in just a day and a half with the help of a pack of dogs and Black Wolves, they were overcome with envy.

"I’m starting to think every game task just gets ridiculously easy when Moira’s involved. I really hope I get grouped with her next time," Kai York said.

"It’s all random."

"Oh, right, we have that Healing Spear to thank for completing the task this time," said Shane Rhodes. "The saplings had a low survival rate, so I tried using the Healing Gun on them. I didn’t expect it to actually work."

The efficacy of the Healing Gun far exceeded Shane Rhodes’s expectations. He couldn’t believe SoySauceDrunkard was willing to sell such a useful item.

"The Space Blade was a huge help, too. I created a ton of pocket dimensions to store water. Oh, right, and I brought a lot of it back with me," said Kai York.

For this game, the two of them finished the task just in the nick of time, so they didn’t bring back anything other than this water.

At least the water wasn’t useless.

Although the extreme heat had passed, the water sources were now teeming with newly hatched larvae and insect eggs. Even boiling it didn’t make it safe to drink.

So, on Caelus today, clean water sources were still very rare.

After Shane Rhodes and Kai York finished telling their story, Moira Lynch and Hugh Finch started recounting their own experiences over the last three days.

Hugh Finch did most of the talking, with Moira Lynch simply nodding in agreement.

In contrast to Shane Rhodes and Kai York’s perilous, down-to-the-wire ordeal, the past three days for Moira Lynch and Hugh Finch had been remarkably smooth sailing.

When they heard how the pair had bribed the Kessari Tribe with a single edible flower to get the smaller saplings, the corner of Shane Rhodes’s mouth twitched. Kai York was more direct—an unmistakable flash of jealousy crossed his face.

Then came the part about Moira Lynch summoning a huge pack of dogs and Black Wolves to dig holes.

Kai York chewed on a handkerchief. "How is that fair?! We’re all playing the same game! Why was it so easy for you? You even had dogs helping you, while the boss and I were worked like dogs!"

Hugh Finch completely ignored Kai York’s melodramatic pouting, because the most important part was coming up.

"You’re saying that the fluid from a Petalwing Beetle’s gallbladder, when diluted with water, works as an insect repellent?" Shane Rhodes shot to his feet.

Hugh Finch nodded. "The information came from..." He glanced at Moira Lynch. "...so there’s no way it’s wrong."

Shane Rhodes understood immediately. It was true; information from Moira Lynch was never wrong.

"How many Flower Beetle Gallbladders did you collect?"

"A ton. Too many to count," Moira Lynch said. "We had to clear out almost all of our Space Buttons to make room."

During the last few hours, once the Space Buttons were full, they started taking other things out.

All the food was used to lure the Petalwing Beetles, and anything useless was either thrown away or carried on their persons.

"Boss, you’re always the one who communicates with the base. We’ll have to leave this to you, too."

Hearing this, Shane Rhodes nodded.

Moira Lynch and Hugh Finch then took out the Space Buttons containing the Flower Beetle Gallbladders and placed them on the table.

Moira Lynch also produced a sheet of instructions, freshly printed from a printer in her inventory space.

"Oh, and this."

As he spoke, Hugh Finch took out two sand dust fruits and explained their effects.

"Moira and I have already eaten ours. These two are for you and Kai York."

Hearing that eating a sand dust fruit would make wounds heal automatically as if they were made of sand, Kai York eagerly grabbed one and took a large bite.

He moved so fast that Moira Lynch didn’t even have time to get the two words "tastes awful" out of her mouth.

They watched as the initial excitement on Kai York’s face twisted into a grimace. His mouth worked instinctively, trying to spit out what was inside.

Seeing this, Moira Lynch reacted in a flash, pulling a steamed bun from her inventory space and shoving it right into Kai York’s mouth.

Kai York’s eyes widened. With his mouth stuffed with the steamed bun, he looked at Moira Lynch in shock, the corners of his eyes a little red, with suspicious moisture clinging to them.

Clearly, the horrible taste of the sand dust fruit had brought Kai York to tears.

Moira Lynch pressed the steamed bun harder into Kai York’s mouth to stop him from spitting it out. "This is good stuff," she said, still pressing. "It just tastes a little bit awful. You’ll have to get over it."

"MMPH! MMPH! MMPH!" Kai York was clearly agitated.

’A little bit awful?’

"I can’t understand you! Hurry up and eat! Do you have any idea how much sand dust fruits go for? They’re hyped up to tens of millions in the interstellar market, and even then you can’t find any to buy! How much do you even make in one game? You’re not spitting out a sand dust fruit, you’re spitting out money!"

At that point, Shane Rhodes, who could no longer bear to watch, said dryly, "Moira, if you don’t let go, Kai York is going to suffocate."

Hearing this, Moira Lynch’s hand paused. When she looked up, she saw Kai York’s eyes starting to roll back. She sheepishly pulled back her hand and laughed awkwardly.

Then, from out of nowhere, she produced a can of ice-cold "Otaku Happy Water." Smiling gently, Moira Lynch offered it to Kai York.

Kai York could finally breathe normally again, though he still couldn’t speak with his mouth full of steamed bun. He looked at the can of Otaku Happy Water and gave Moira Lynch a pointed look.

Moira Lynch understood instantly. She stepped forward, popped the can’s tab, and presented it to Kai York with mock reverence.

Beside them, Shane Rhodes also picked up a sand dust fruit and started eating it.

After the first bite, his brow furrowed almost imperceptibly. It was, indeed, disgusting. But for the sake of his pride, Shane Rhodes stoically finished the entire fruit without letting his expression change.

Seeing his composure, Moira Lynch gave him a thumbs-up and handed him an opened bottle of Otaku Happy Water.

Only after chugging the entire bottle of Otaku Happy Water did Shane Rhodes finally speak. "I’ll talk to the higher-ups about the Flower Beetle Gallbladders. You two are the ones who brought them back, so what do you want in return?"
