「Inside the room.」

After five sleepless days and nights, Moira Lynch’s spiritual power, which had been uncontrollably hyperactive, finally settled down.

It was like a bratty child who, after throwing a massive tantrum, had finally worn itself out, growing drowsy and perfectly behaved.

But unlike a bratty child, who would leave a complete mess after a tantrum, her spiritual power left behind a room filled to the brim with freshly forged items.

Among them were one hundred and twenty-seven Healing Pistols and eighty-nine Space Daggers.

During the last two days, as she grew more proficient, Moira could even craft several items at once.

There were also countless bullets.

They were called bullets, but in reality, they were just grains of sand.

Of course, this wasn’t ordinary sand. It was the sand left over from the Dune Beast she had killed previously.

She had collected quite a bit of it back then, enough to last her a very long time.

The new Space Dagger’s ability was also exactly half that of the original.

Before listing the items, Moira decided to generate some hype for them first.

She opened her shop. As usual, it was packed with people.

Some people liked to hang around even if they weren’t buying anything, just to soak in the lively atmosphere and reminisce about the days before the apocalypse.

Moira went to the VIP room on the top floor and began composing a message after she entered.

Soon, a massive, banner-like screen appeared above everyone’s heads inside the shop. Red text slowly scrolled across it.

[Important announcement, important announcement! In five minutes, a new batch of healing and spatial items will go on sale.

Healing Pistol: Fires bullets that can heal people. Can instantly mend minor wounds. Comes with eight complimentary bullets. Additional bullets sold separately.

Space Dagger: Can slice open space to perform short-range Space Teleportation over a distance of about five meters. It can also create a pocket dimension for a person to hide in, but it only lasts for ten minutes. This pocket dimension can also be used to store inanimate objects.

Limited quantity available. First come, first served.

Accepted payment: Gold, jade, and various gemstones. High-quality items will be given priority.]

After the message finished scrolling across the screen, the crowd fell silent for a moment before erupting into a frenzy.

Both of these items were incredibly rare.

Some people immediately messaged their superiors, reporting exactly what was happening.

The replies were unanimous: they had to acquire these two items at all costs. The more, the better. The same went for the Healing Pistol’s bullets—they needed as many as possible.

Getting injured was one of the biggest fears in the game.

And the Space Dagger? It was the ultimate escape tool. Plus, it could create a pocket dimension. How was that any different from a Space Button?

’No, wait, there was a difference. They couldn’t hide inside a Space Button.’

Meanwhile, after setting the two items to be listed in five minutes, Moira left the shop.

She finally had some free time and decided to go out for a stroll.

Compared to the period of extreme heat, the base was now running smoothly.

The bugs were terrifying, but not all of them. Some were actually quite cute. Mhmm, yes, that’s right... very... cute.

After all, Cathayans were famous for their iron stomachs. As a people who loved to eat, they had a simple philosophy: if it was edible, eat it. If it wasn’t immediately edible, process it and then eat it. Even if it was poisonous, it could be used as medicinal herbs. In short, everything had to end up in their stomachs.

It hadn’t been long, yet people had already come up with all sorts of creative ways to cook the new bug species.

Now, whenever a new species of bug appeared, people’s first question was whether it was poisonous.

If it was, they’d check the base’s collection price. If it wasn’t, they’d start figuring out how to cook it.

If a bug was neither poisonous nor edible, they’d try to find other uses for it, like with the Dye-Bug.

Moira opened her phone and scrolled through all sorts of bug recipes and pictures of insect-based dishes, impressed by people’s ingenuity.

After getting dressed and tying up her hair, Moira went down to the first floor.

She had planned to head straight out, but the scene that greeted her downstairs left her stunned. ’What’s going on? Where did all this stuff come from?’

’Didn’t the supplies from the base trade arrive a few days ago? Why is there more?’

As Moira stood there confused, an elderly man in a traditional Tang suit suddenly rose from the sofa and walked excitedly toward her.

Seeing this, Moira thought, ’Don’t tell me he’s here to claim me as a long-lost relative.’

For a moment, her mind flooded with all sorts of melodramatic clichés from novels.

’Oh, please no,’ she thought. ’I quite like things the way they are.’

’I may be an orphan now, but if I suddenly had to deal with the original owner’s parents, I wouldn’t have the first clue what to do. I’d definitely give myself away. How could parents not notice something was off with their own child?’

’Besides, I’m not good at dealing with elders anyway.’

Thankfully, the old man stopped a few steps away from Moira, a kind smile on his face. "Hello there, young lady. I’m Shane Rhodes’s grandfather. If you don’t mind, you can just call me Grandpa."

Hearing this, Moira put on a polite smile. "It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Rhodes."

She then glanced around the living room, which was piled high with goods, and asked in confusion, "Mr. Rhodes, did you bring all of this?"

The old man stroked his beard, smiling as he nodded. "Some of it was brought by two other old coots, but neither of them brought as much as I did."

As he said this, his tone even held a hint of schadenfreude.

’Something’s not right.’

"Are you helping Shane move house?"

Actually, Moira really wanted to ask if he was dividing the family estate. After all, everything in the living room was a treasure. Before the apocalypse, any single item would have been enough to support a family for a lifetime.

’What on earth did Shane do?’

’Did he get his inheritance, or was he kicked out of the family?’

’The latter seemed unlikely. After all, who gets to take so many treasures with them when they’re kicked out?’

’So he must be getting his share of the family assets?’

’Did Shane get the secret bonus prize in the inheritance lottery: one grandfather?’

"Young Moira, you came down in such a hurry. Were you on your way somewhere?" the old man asked with a wide grin.

"I heard the base has changed a lot recently, so I was planning to go take a look," Moira answered honestly.

Moira’s reputation as a homebody was well-known throughout the base.

The neighbors all knew the residents of this house were no ordinary people. Not only were all four of them players, but they also brought back a lot of good stuff after every game.

However, most people only ever saw Shane Rhodes and the other two going in and out. The fourth resident was rarely seen.

Most people’s knowledge of Moira was limited to her looks and her talent.

Recently, another detail had been added to that list: Black Wolf.
